      I like to transition to Scotch gambit with 1.e4 e5 2.d4 to avoid Russain defence :) what you think of that James?

    Loving the Playlist, bro. The Scotch Gambit is terrific! 14:46 is a position that you can reach in the Italian as well. An interesting move for white in this position is to castle. The Big Greek has a video about it called Der Italienische Killerangriff which literally translates to The Italian Killer Attack. As you said prior the castle ones can be very sharp and hard though, especially against stronger opponents I guess.

    I play the Danish Gambit and love it. It’s pretty much scotch game with 2 pawn sacrifices (as you showed in the video). I’m gonna start playing the scotch mainline more just to get some new ideas.

    Hi James Canty! i am new subs on your channel. I am looking a sophisticated the Scotch gambit theory explanation since months ago, i am so lucky can find it. Btw, i play 2.d4 instead of 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3. Is this a wrong sequence move in Scotch gambit opening theory. And one more wishes from me if not bothering you, could you give me an enlightenment on how to play Staunton-Cochrane Variation Against the Sicilian Defense, as i hate it when i open 1.e4 and my opp answer with 1...c5, then i continue with 2.c4 and play with my instinct lol.

    • @JamesCantyIII
      @JamesCantyIII  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! That d4 is a good transposition to Scotch Gambit but if they deviate you will face something different as white. I have never in my life heard of that Sicilian Defense. haha I play c3 or Smith Morra anyway, check the Sicilian playlist!
