Side note: The title says "only Werner Werman but other characters also appear like Elder Kettle, Cuphead or Mugman for a short period of time. Those bits are for adding a bit of context and have fun with the editing, but Werner Werman is still the focus of this video. This character is one of my favorite boss fights from the game and I hope you guys enjoy this video!

I always felt like his boss fight was underrated as hell, so I'm actually surprised he got an appearance in the show

Ironically he put up a better fight in the show than he did in the game.
Well, maybe the reason to that he had the upperhand against the Cup brothers in this episode, was the fact that Cuphead and Mugman didn't get their shooting powers like in the game, making him a more dangerous opponent in the show.
Well considering he managed to at least kill cuphead in the game (for most people i reckon) id say he did better in the game lmao

If they actually played his boss theme when he charged Elder Kettle, that would have made it ten times more awesome.
They should've also played a little bit of high sea hijinks while cala maria chased brineybeard and the cups.

Clearly Werner Werman watched every episode of Tom and Jerry to outsmart the Cup Duo. Unfortunately, he forgot to watch a certain episode of Looney Tunes, because he fell for the ol’ Dynamite Pen trick.

I can’t be the only one who got to the American accent ending and thought about Brandon Rogers’s “Beauty Is Blind” sketch. Specifically the part where Jürgen crashes into a table while running with scissors and is left writhing on the floor screaming “I’M IN SO MUCH PAIN I LOST MY ACCENT!”

One detail I noticed (that I’m not sure if it was on purpose but if it was then it was genius)
This episode is the classical parody of the Tom and Jerry show, with the protagonists trying to catch a little mouse/rat but their prey always outsmarts them using their tiny size to their advantage.
In the Werner Werman boss fight, Cuphead and mugman basically invert the roles by shrinking themselves just slightly shorter than Werner himself, so basically the whole fight was him trying to kill them with his multiple mechanisms which all end up failing and back fairing (he tried to throw a rocket but the arm broke and exploded in his face, then his flamethrower get stuck when he’s eaten by a cat) then that cat who was a robot also fails)
He's more clever than Jerry, though.

I think we’ll see him again, hear me out on this. So sally stageplay is introduced in later episode, but in season 3 when it comes out, I bet there’s going to be a episode about her having cuphead and Mugman and maybe ms chalice to join her play and Werner Werman will probably at the theatre making it his home and he’ll see them and wants revenge on them as a way to hit elder kettle where it lives. So what do you think.

Considering Cuphead is still in his normal size (Probably?) During the Werner boss fight, He and Katzenwägen must be HUGE. Werner would be like Pilot Saluki tall and Katzenwägen would be as big (if not bigger) the dachshund plane (i forgot the name)
my favorite character in the game. i absolutely adore rodents plus he’s german and a goofy-being. werner werman basically never fails to make me smile.

ain’t even gonna lie, this might be my favorite episode in season 2
cala and bon bon’s were delightful of course but werner has always been my favorite boss in cuphead and having a full episode centered around him is like a miracle :,)
Since this show takes place between the 20s or 30s this means there's a chance both Werner and Elder Kettle (he has pictures of him in a uniform) are WW1 veterans and perhaps meet each other in the no man's land

Werner is one of my absolute favorite bosses in the og game so this episode was a joy to watch
he had such an underrated fight, one of the greatest ideas especially because it was inspired by Tom and jerry and if you look hard enough at the cat eating him you see they clearly look like Tom and Jerry and then they turn the idea into something else that’s actually really creative
