We are so much fortunate to meet legendary one of the oldest 107 y.o. Tattoo Artist in the world - Apo Whang Od deep in the mountains, in the village Buscalan. The trip from Manila to Buscalan took us 10 hours by mountain serpentine road, but it is worth it.
In this video I tried to show process of tattoing, village life, and spectacular nature around. Stay tuned and watch this video till end.

The teacher said Merienda it's like a snack in between breakfast lunch and dinner. In Philippines elementary/High school we have break time 15-30 min that's when we usually eat snacks or we also merienda. It is often joked that our favorite subject is Recess 😅

Hi Balnur, you are in the Mountain Province they speak different dialects not tagalog, some understand, it's kinda primitive lifestyle because they are away from the City. I don't know if the tattoo process is sterile..
i feel like harald should do this whang od trek as well.

You should live in the Philippines, become a local. Learn some language Tagalog, llocano, or Visayas, and Muslims in Mindanao. Trick the locals you are a Filipina, then laugh. You fit right in, you be smiling all the time too! 😂 🤣😅😂
