Is there any way of looking my 360 degree Renders in the vr? And so I used lumion instead of enscape, so is there a way of walking through the project with lumion using the metaquest 2? Thanks a loot
You have to host 360 jpgs somewhere to be viewed. I've heard some people were able to view them with native app, but I have not had success. Google Photos however have been best way for me to share and view 360 images easily. In Lumion, you can't move around as you do in Enscape. They currently only offer 360 photo/image workflow.
So I've built an actual house (Blender) from the elevations, BUT in "walk mode" while I can walk up stairs, I still pass through walls. Has anyone figured out how to make the walls impassible while in Blender walk mode?
Hi Joseph, thank you for this precious video. Have you run the Revit Enscape sample in VR in ULTRA quality with your WS66? How many gigabyte of VRAM has your 5000 max-q? I’m considering to buy a GE66 with 3070 and I need to know if it could run Enscape standalone files in VR mode in ULTRA quality with my Oculus Quest 2...
It's got 16GB. Quite a lot. But I have not tested ultra with VR. The visual difference between high and ultra is quite minimal, but performance is hit quite hard. Personally, I would not go for ultra, but that's just IMO.
@@JosephKim Many thanks for your reply. I really need a laptop to run Enscape VR standalone files in Ultra and I can’t find a place to try them. I already tried, with many tests, to run the Enscape sample of the Revit big house with a Msi GE66 with 2070 super max-q (8 GB of VRam) and I had several visual problems, both in Ultra and in High. I’m trying to find out if the performance bottleneck is for the power of the GPU model or just for the amount of VRam. In the Enscape website they recommend a GPU with 8 GB of VRam for VR but I think they should be more clear about that, for example with a list of laptop and pc GPUs that can certainly run their samples in VR at the highest quality Enscape settings.
In regards to the quality, it is more likely that the pure horsepower of the GPU is what matters more. VRAM is just one metrics of GPU, and tensa core count is just another. Also, the nonexistent list of compatible GPUs are no fault of Enscape or MSI. It is because Nvidia makes many different Skews of chips that are very confusing to consumers and laptop manufacturers can tweak the chips however they want. Laptops have hard cap of 250w total power draw including CPU. The laptop 2070 isn't the same as desktop 2070. Again, I see no point in going Ultra over High for the visual quality though.

Hello, Great vídeo!! I was wondering if you could explain me how to use my meta quest 2 for presenting my projects/Renders. I’m new in this.
Excellent video
Thank you!
Wow the materials looks beautiful in the renderings ! Where do you get them from ?
That's Enscape's own sample :)
Thank you!
My pleasure!
are RTX 3070 enough?
Depends on your model and what you do, but IMO it suites most of the people.
So I've built an actual house (Blender) from the elevations, BUT in "walk mode" while I can walk up stairs, I still pass through walls. Has anyone figured out how to make the walls impassible while in Blender walk mode?
Blender has totally different navigation system, so I don't really know. Sorry.
Great Video
Thank you!
Hi, thank you so much for the given informations. I would like to ask you which Oculus quest 2 should I choose, the one with 256gb and 1832 × 1920 pixels or the other with 128gb and 3664x1920 pixels?
Which is the other one you are taking about? VR glasses are dependant on so much more than storage and resolutions.
Thank you for the fast reply, both of them are oculus quests 2, but with different resolutions and memories. I’m asking this because we have only one supplier in my country and they have only these two options 😂
@@nisab.7090 i didn't know that they had two different resolutions. I personally found 128gb more than enough for my use.
Hello, I’ve received my quest 2 it works very well just until i click on Enscape VR button, then i get the message on my enscape tab saying “ searching for head mounted display” and the view on the headset freezes for a long time saying Sketchup loading. I also downloaded and runned Steam but it didn’t change anything. Could it be about the different charging 3.0 cables that i tried? Anytime I connected it says that the cable is 2.0. Or does changing to the Oculus Rift solve all the problems?
Also there are no Anker sellers in my country but i’ve found this cable : PremiumCord USB-C - USB 3.0 A (USB 3.1 generation 2, 3A, 10Gbit/s) . Will this be enough?
Thank you sir for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for watching!
Video from 3 years ago answered my question 😁 I’m looking to build a virtual interactive home and I was looking for the right architecture software. Do you know if these files are comparable with the unity software so I can render it into a game space
Unity will have much more customizable elements where as Enscape is more closed loop but easy to use interface.
I’m currently watching a world build tutorial for unity. Thank you 😁
My idea was to build on enscape and upload to unity and adjust the world from there, I just need to suck it up and learn the unity world builder
I've noticed the connection isn't great when using Enscape with Wireless Quest 2 connection (Air Link). Have you tested out wireless versus Link cable comparison? If so, is the link cable significantly better? I'm using the MSI WS66. Thanks!
I did see some more studder especially for more complex models. Try lowering the quality, but airlink still is quite convinient.
¡Asombroso! 🫶🏻 soy ing. Mecánico y con esto me ayudaste a mejorar mis presentaciones profesionales 🤟🏻 gracias desde México
Thank you!
Absoulutely riviting - is there nothing the Oculus and software can't do...? This is one of the many reasons why I have one on the way!
They just keep making things better. I don't even have to buy more. Lol
Joseph, thanks for the video! Any idea if this workflow works with a Rhino model?
It should!
@@JosephKim thanks, I've ordered a cable for my Oculus and will test it out next week. If it works I'll make a video and credit you on it.
@@LineweightsAcademy cool! Air Link also works well on my testing.
Metaverse!!!
Hi Joseph, thank for your tutorial video,
It’s really informative and useful.
Could I ask you a question about my oculus quest 2 ?
I found out that my VR device just can’t work at enscape for Revit and skp.
The thing is that.
I click on the button of enscape, the window of enscape just quit unexpectedly right on the beginning.
It’s the problem of the device or the software ? How can do for it ?
Device information:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X
Graphic: Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000
Sorry for bothering you.
Thank for your time.
Is it just Enscape thag doesn't work? Or others don't work either? Enscape team is probably better than me in finding the solution, but updating the firmware and drivers aren't a bad start.
@@JosephKim
Thanks Joseph,
The Enscape is workable without the oculus quest 2 connected to my desktop.
Enscape and oculus are all workable individually.
I’ve update the newest graphic firmware already.
I think it probably the software compatibility issue. Maybe.
I would try to ask enscape team for help.
Really thanks for your time and reply.
thanks a lot
Thanks!
At first, clients were "curious" but more and more , its not a smooth process and we dont use it anymore..
That's fair. And there are certain type of projects that benefit more than others.
Hi, im interested in how was your experience with your clients in more detail please
@@mora2299 basically, finds it cool. But some are not as interested after the first 'wow'
wow, i feel unreal engine is so much more immersive =p (a little bit dissapointed feel tho)
:)
nice
Thanks!
thanks for share
Thanks for watching!
What's your pfp? It's beautiful !
Well I see there is some good and some bed comment but my opinion it's best for show off your project 😉
Haha. Thanks :)
