My last holiday was Koh Lanta November 2019, it’s was my 4th time and was planning on going back last year. It’s probably my favourite place in the world. Thanks for the encouragement mate, yes the key is to keep the positive attitude - things will get better! It's easy to get anxious and lost in your worries but that never helped anyone - better times ahead :)
Really informative video Will. Thank you. Incredible to see Lanta so quiet in January, when the place should be buzzing. Was supposed to be there for a big 50th birthday last month.

Thanks Will, I can feel your situation by watching the vid, you can't hide the emotions. Its certainly made us all aware of how desperate things are over there. Having watched Lanta develop over the last 22 years it's so sad to see what Covid has done. Anyway, onwards and upwards, and hope to see you all soon.

Thank you so much for posting this. We have been visiting lanta for 25 years, weve missed 3 times in all of that time. We were coming this year but obviously unable. Just watched this 4 times, looking a bit sad with everything closed. Thinking of all the local people that we know and hope thier businesses survive until we can get there next year.

Places i remembered hanging out just completely gone with no trace, other places still exactly the same. Would love to see any footage or pics you might have of Lanta from back then, it felt weird trying to piece together locations that have now changed so much. Made me wish I'd taken more footage myself back then ..

My husband and I stayed in Koh Lanta in 2003. We struggled to get accommodation then. What a difference.

I think there were a couple of cases on the Island at the start but nothing really, mostly the effects.
