France is a country in Western Europe that includes Mediterranean beaches, alpine villages, and historic capitals. Its city, Paris, is renowned for its designer boutiques, museums of classical art, such as the Louvre, and landmarks like the Eiffel Tower. The nation is recognized for its fine gastronomy and wines as well. Its lengthy history is attested to by Lascaux's prehistoric cave paintings, Lyon's Roman theater, and Versailles' enormous Palace.
Surprised that Chartres was not included , also Bergerac, Monbaziliac, etc. So many lovely places to visit in France, so maybe you need to do a “Fifty best places to see in France”, ? 👍
i have 4/5 spare days of vacation on Holiday and I am trying to pick a village! Its going to be hard they 😅😅 love the little villages in france specially for the markets on sunday! You can get cheap huitres and cheese
This provides some names for further research….I think it would have been nice to have some more detail in the form of cultural references,eg. you could have mentioned the numerous artists who visited Couloures, famous writers, musicians, etc….
How could you forget Mont Saint Michel ???!!! 😮 I agree with most of places quoted here but not with Biaritz, Saint jean de luz and Perpignan… Well of course they are lovely places ! But don’t have their place on top 25… Rocamadour, Mont Saint Michel, Saint Guilhem le désert and Honfleur deserve to be in the list.
Biarritz, i hate it. Overpriced, relying on an old glory, and with very poor mentalities. Very snob. Even towards locals like me ^^. I certainly don't advise to visit this place. As a french, i find it bland, too. There is nothing distinctive in this city.
It would be so helpful if you told where many of these towns are located. Some you do and others you don't. Even just a quick glimpse of a map because you jump all over the place
EN NOVEMBRE 2008, J AI EU L OCCASION D ALLER EN VELO VOIR LES INONDATIONS ET LE CHATEAU DE LA ROCHE ETAIT ENVAHI PAR LES EAUX. IL N Y AVAIT QUE LE HAUT DE LA GRILLE D ENTREE DU CHATEAU QUI DEPASSAIT DE L EAU. C EST DIRE SI L EAU ETAIT MONTEE HAUT.
Could not watch because of the disturbing and loud noise between each city. Why? The teller's voice is so calm and relaxing, why strike audience with such loud noise in between?
Thank you for this selection from thousands of historic sites, preserved medieval villages, breathtaking panoramas, bucolic countryside and steep, snow-capped mountains or green hills. France, with its unique geography, brings together in a square of 1000 kms a concentration of almost everything that can be found in other temperate countries. So it's pointless to try and sum it up in just a few towns and villages. France is not easily defined. It has to be earned! One small drawback to this report: the quality of the images is mediocre, and the narrative lacks a little rhythm and breath.
Please...there is enough unkindness in the world. It is an informative and interesting you tube video. I had a very formal education but it is unnecessary to leave comments like this. You never know what is happening in other people's lives. I wish you well
I stopped at no. 3 MEN-TON ? If you want to attract people to the towns in France, please have the courtesy to learn how to pronounce the place names before you begin... grating is an understatement.
I have visited the majority of these places - sad that Oradour Sur Glane wasn't included - a very sombre place considering its history but I found it to be very interesting.
In that case, add Verdun. One century later, the place is still a sea of shell holes. A place where the french were surrounded and pounded on 3 sides and never retreated. In the mere first 2 days, 2 000 000 shells rained down on the french through 2 200 artillery canons. This means that on average, there was 6 heavy artillery shells that fell per square meter during the 10 months of battle. And it is still visible to this day. Terrifying. I still remember when i visited it.
Lovely video, thank you very much. The best wishes from London to everyone who is watching ❤
France is the most beautifull place in the EU!!!

It's normal to not see Chartres in the top 25. I've got easily at least 30 more beautiful places in mind

Thinking the same thing.
Didn’t need to put that loud music at the beginning and between towns.. All the rest was good
Nope… couldn’t finish the video. I get relaxed looking at those beautiful towns and the. PAMM!!! Loud music again 🤦🏻♂️. Huge dislike

Check your facts. Biarritz is not known for windsurfing, but surfing…

The wording should be BRAND new, not, as you say in your intro, BRAN new. Yes...I listened carefully 3 times just to make sure.
There’s a tiny tiny d sound at the end of brand - it’s very faint 🤣
