WELL WORTH the price! GREAT support team with useful and optimized features. I will continue to support and pay the annual fees to receive updates. THANK YOU Lightburn team! Keep up the outstanding work!
Lightburn is a great product, and especially for the price. I have not updated to 1.0 yet, but will have no problem with the price increase. Lets face it, it is still barely $1 per week, and yet we have no problems spending many times that on a soft drink, coffee, or a beer.
Lightburn is by far the best design to machine program I knoew of, not only that butThe LB team responds to questions on the forum within an hour usually within minuets, well worth the money IMHO
I am newbie to laser engraving/cutting and i downloaded the trial version of Lightburn. i used the laser to make a sign for a mates shop front. I found Lightburn to be very easy to use and i am very impressed and relieved that the software is offered as a one time purchase as opposed to a subscription based format(I hate having to rent software) I have now purchased the licence for the GBRL version as i have a Sculpfun s9 machine.which works flawlessly wirh Lightburn i am also impressed with it as it cuts 6mm ply like a hot knife through butter
Hello Gil. You caught me out with the that catchy title, as I know you’re strong supporter of the Lightburn software. My opinion, compared to other “Known Brands”, its cost 💲 if dramatically lower, much lower. For what you get, it’s money well spent. Thanks for the information Gil. Cheers 🍻.
LightBurn is worth it. I just looked at a program that cost around 280 US dollars and all it does is trace a bitmap. I have a vinyl cutter to make signs and now I find myself doing much of my artwork in LightBurn and exporting it as an svg. file to my sign software. Designing stuff in LightBurn is so much easier. If the updates are only $30 after the first year of ownership that is cheaper than before because it was $40 for the diode lasers. You must also understand that the value of the US dollar is dropping like a rock.
I used the trial for lightburn and it made my laser worth using. It was a turd with all the other software available for grbl lasers. Before lightburn, RD works was what I was comfortable with and lightburn blew it away completely. I'm happy to pay for it and as long as I'm using my laser I'll be paying for the updates yearly even though they do nothing for me. I am use inkscape to design everything so all the design features go unused by me.
I have only started my journey with an Ortur laser and lightburn but I will definitely buy LightBurn after the 30-day trial expiries and will pay the yearly fee to keep it updated. Of course, everyone saying this might go to LightBurh's head causing them to raise the price even more.
In the last few years, I have only seen them raise the price once. Given how much functionality has been shared with the software, I think its a safe bet that with any future price rises will come more features and functions. What are you make with your laser? I love seeing people's projects, so if you can join our Facebook group, send me some pictures of your latest project! :)
If you think Lightburn is expensive then DON'T get involved with CAD/CAM software for cnc. Lightburn is absolutely amazing software and the cost is ridiculously low!!
Ain't that the truth. So many options, so many prices. Lightburn changed how I create, so for me, I would have paid triple when it comes to saving time and money. What do you use your laser and Lightburn to make?
I am ready to buy a laser cutting machine and after viewing this video, I am anxious to do just that. Also after hearing what you said about lightnurn software, I am going to buy it as well. I totally appreciate your excellent delivery, thanks very much.
I got the trial and was worried because I have several computers that I might need the software on so I downloaded a cracked version although it was a pretty old version .. at the end of my trial I quickly paid for the full version and as a matter of fact I just paid to keep my license current .. I love the software .. thanks to the developer..
I think the bigger issue is that all those people complaining are complaining about the wrong software. Have you seen the price on 3D graphics software lately? Lightburn is a joke on prices compared to 3D software. I looked for low price 3D software and now the prices are in the Thousands of dollars. $60 ish for Lightburn is nothing. Find me a 3D design software that is worth $60 and does everything Lightburn does. IMPOSSIBLE!
You're right about the cost-effectiveness of LightBurn that offers great value for its capabilities in laser cutting and engraving. What features are most important to you in a design software, considering both functionality and affordability? 🛠️💡💻
Great video and as a guy who deals with software for a living I think Lightburn is a great value. I currently do not have a need for the features in the latest version but when and if I do as started I can upgrade at a reduced price, what a great option for us as users of the software. Thank you Lightburn for providing a great software at an affordable price.
Glad to hear your thoughts and views on this subject. We here at the Laser Livestream agree that Lightburn is amazing software with a very reasonable price point for what it delivers. What do you use Lightburn to make with your laser?

Hi, I really love lightburn, but I have a question about auto-save in progress, it's happening so many times while working, and it's like the computer is frozen that time, is there a way to get that away.? Thanks
Hi Peter, glad you joined us. I think you are asking how to turn off the autosave function in Lightburn? If you are, you can set the Auto-Save interval to 0 in the settings but be aware that it turns off the setting altogether. Otherwise, you can make the interval setting a higher number, like 10 which will only save your project every 10 minutes. Let me know if that helps! :)
@@LaserLivestream hey thank you for replying so quickly I love it, yes I will try that, it might be a better idea changing it? I just found I can set it to 20 so that might be better than right? Thank you very much

For good software at a human price. It is worth spending a few dollars. The more so that these are not Adobe-type prices and not some browser-based sub-script. Best regards, Dariusz from Poland
