Awesome, thank you!

If your not already you would make an awesome educator. Ill be watching more shortly, so keep them coming, because this software is like taking a four credit hour class in college.

So thankful that you share your expertise with others!
Thanks so much!
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Hi Rich! You're videos have been so helpful (Lightburn is new to me), but I'm stuck on what to do after you place an image inside the text. How would I engrave the letters, and then cut them out? There is only one layer and no options for line, etc. I hope I explained my problem properly. Thank you for your time!
I was at the misconception that you had to use a 3rd party software in order to do this and many other things, thanks Rich, it does make things much easier working and learning one software and seeing the beautiful net results.
Windows, Mac or Linux & Lightburn is all you need for an engraving business.
That technique is quite powerful. I would never have thought that Lightburn could do this.
Lightburn can do almost anything as far as laser creation is concerned Garth.
Thanks Rich another great video. Have a great day.
Thank you too Hank!
Thanks again I watched this over a year ago and it used the crop… but for some reason I couldn’t remember how to do the text crop…. Also don’t use my burner that much but really love when I do and your tips tutorials are second to none… and you can revisit them as I’m doing.. I think the more you use you generally pick it up but your instructions show the best way.
Wow! Thank you so much! I appreciate the comments Mark!
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy thank you the reason I got a NEJE laser was because of your videos… you don’t make people feel like a idiot you just help.
Thank you so much! This was simple and easy to follow.
*You're welcome Pamela!* Thank you so much for watching!
Rich, I don't think you could make a bad LightBurn video if you tried. You should have a million subscribers before long. Much success to you my friend. I always learn something from you.
That's really kind of you Kris, thank you! 😎
What a great futures, i'm a newby with the laser and lightburn zo learning a lot from your video's. Keep going with this. Greetings from the Netherlands, Ron

You're welcome Tom! Thanks for watching! 👍
Great tutorial. I'm going to test this today.
Awesome! Have fun!
Like this your very positive. Explaining a way that someone can understand. I hate asking questions on fb group so many are just condescending with response. I'm gonna watch your videos hopefully will save me. I'm so close to selling laser and giving up
*Thank you kindly Karen!* Sorry for the late reply, TH-cam didn't notify me of this comment! 🤪

You're very welcome Kev! Thanks for watching! 👍
Thank You! Thank You!, I have been tearing my hair out, thinking there must be a way to crop an image. And wow is it simple when you know how lol.

Got a follower here, thank you for the not dramatic intro! lol.
Thanks for the sub!
Very well done. Still need to learn much more on image manipulation to get a clean burned image on wood. Kind of illusive right now. Will look to see what other videos you have.
Cool, thanks for watching!
Simple and great.
Glad you like it Merrill!
Amazing. thank you
Glad you liked it!
Thank you so much!!!!
You're welcome!
My word the LightBurn folks make a simple task complicated
Actually they make it very easy compared to any other program John.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Glad you've had that experience!
Hi Rich, I hope you'll be reading this very soon. I tried this method to crop the image and yes it worked! I was so incredibly elated I can't even tell you to think that I was going to get a beautifully detailed image that I could engraved instead of having to take it through Trace, adjust it then try to get a good image. Well, the problem is that when I tried to transfer it into the laser, the image would not come up with any type of successful image that could be successfully engraved. I was near tears. I was looking forward to having a super crisp and cleans image engraved. To no avail. I am engraving ceramic tiles. The normal method is to use CERMARK spray, then engraved at 360speed and 65 power. I tried a wide range of speed and power settings. The image either showed up on the laser screen as very spotty, I even changed the dpi. I really need your help as soon as possible. Thank you, I do agree that your method is wonderful and I'm sure there's an answer. It's something I'm sure I am just not seeing correctly. please help me. Thanks, Margaret I'll keep looking for your response.
Not much I can help with in a text Margaret, but I can tell you it's probably due to the image mode you're using. Try changing the image mode and testing other modes, like Dither, Stucki, Jarvis and Grayscale.
Thank you again Rich :)
My pleasure!
Once again, amazing video. Clear, concise and easy to follow along. Also love the special hidden features that you teach. Love it! Thank you
Thanks so much!
Great straight to the topic without the goofy music as a distraction 👍
I find lots of folks dislike music in YT videos.
Watching your tutorials and man theyre good- you get right to the point and explain it in basic terms. One question: On Adjust Image- it shows two pictures. Is the one on the left the original and the one on the right, the one you're modifying? Select OK after that and it keeps the mods?
That is correct, but you have to have to save each edit if you want to reuse it in the future. Click the little floppy disc icon to save the current settings.
Good video good explanation
Glad you liked it!
Thank you very much
Thank you for watching!
Wish I had this last weekend lol 😆 but thanks 🙏
Got it now
Maybe next time Les 🤪
Thank you... for my sanity....!
You're welcome David 😊
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Very cool!
Thanks so much!
Thank you sir
You're welcome!
Do u have a video on how to do photos in lightburn . Your explanation is really good and I would love to learn about photo engraving through lightburn
Not yet, but it is on my list! Stay tuned Shiraz!
thank you, you saved me ;)
Thank you so much Daniel! I really appreciate it! 👍
Hi Rich, thank you for all the great videos that you put out. I am trying to put a logo on an image that I burned but the logo does not show up very well over the already burned image. Is there a way to block out a shape in the image so it does not burn that shape and I can burn the logo in that area Kind of a reverse masking.? I hope I explained it good enough.
It can be done but it would take a lot of testing to get the right settings. It's too hard for me to answer this in a text.
Thanks!
Wow! Thank you so much Greg! I truly appreciate the support! 👍
Hi there I don’t have the apply a mask to image on my drip down menu ! I’m
New to light burn any ideas ?your videos are great btw
Follow along with the video. If you don't select the layers the way I demonstrate, it won't work. Order of operations is important.
Really enjoy your work!! Concise and to the point!! Did something change, i do not have that option?
Which option is that? This was V 0.9.24 of Lightburn. As of today, the latest is 1.0.06.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy I figured it out. i did not have the cut line closed!! LOL THANKS FOR THE HELP!! Just Subscribed... ROCK ON!!
thank you
Thanks for watching!
Good one
Thanks!
Loving your videos. Can you curve text in Lightburn?
Yes Mark, select the item and look for the little blue dot handle. That's the curve handle.
Hay wows cool. I have a question. Can I use the circle frame tool a frame it and engrave the image ?
Yes of course Vince.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy wow well okay awesome thanks 😊
That's great but, when I do those things, and then right click the image, the list shows everything that your list shows with the exception of "Flatten image mask". ???
Try again. Order of selection matters. I explain it in the video.
