Superb lecture! The very existence of the Jewish people is a miracle. HaShem be praised.

Im of Portuguese descent on my maternal line and i have no evidence but strongly believe we are descendants of conversos (who ultimately did eventually convert to Catholicism wholeheartedly) especially because we were from the Azores specifically. Im converting. It breaks my heart to think i might not be the first Jew in my family.

This lecture is very good for Jews and non Jews to have the whole picture of the Jewish people's history and the parallel Bible stories! Besides, we see similar problems the Jews face today with the influence of westernism, the inner divisions, the lack of faith and secularism.

Rabbi where do I find the notes to this video? I have to watch it again.I noticed you had a history outline on the wall behind you in the video..I would love to be able to print that out so I can have a guide for study of "The history of the Jews.

I'm Jewish so of course I would think this is important presentation. However, I also want to mention what excellent presentation is in general. Really very clear and well thought-out.

Thanks for this video. It has taught me much. Questions: Why did the Sadducees reject Oral Torah, and is there a connection between them and Karaites -even if it be later in history? Thank you.

Very good Todah Rabah a danke rabbi!! A lot I one hour.Religious Zionism as per Rabbi Mohilever 1800s should be added. This seems to be ignored in the generic secular version of Jewish history.Shalom
