      Truth is one which never contradicts to it self since only lies contradicts to truth.Saying as such that somehow history is art that depends on lenses which through one observe it a good phrase to describe the Jewish identity thief culture that still can’t explain where did it get the stories from and why it doesn’t understand the meaning of names and identities in those stories which it claims to Jewish rather then GaELic since from Garden of Edin(Edinburgh,ÓdinBurgh) to ÉL which is Ugarit just like Árpád,Béla,Géza,ŐrBán,Báni…so it is GaLilee pretty much like MacAbbey (MacAbean) or MacAri….

    He enriches us in the only field where to enrich means real richness: intellectually.

    This set of lectures for me as a physicist have been like the CMB (cosmic microwave background) is for the modern cosmology, i.e., the relic radiation that escaped from decoupling era and recombination epoch which stands out as the oldest electromagnetic radiation (the light that 'illumine for us the path') which is the landmark of the Big Bang origin of the universe. That relic source of data is our ancientest anchor, untill now, for understanding the history of the early universe. I see these lectures as the CMB for the jewish history. @@HenryAbramsonPhD Hello Dr. Abramson. I love your content, but the comment section is always turned off when you discuss African or Black Jews, so I never have the opportunity to inquire.
      My question is, do you have any meaningful information about the Jews that were forced into slavery from Portugal in the 1500's?
      I understand they were sent to Africa, specifically San Tome and Angola. Were they African or European?
      And can you shed light on the racial diversity of Jews, if there was any, in Portugal and Spain during this same time period?
      Thanks in advance.

    Very strange that Dr. Abramson doesn't begin with the "shashu of Yahweh" inscription in Amenhotep III's temple at Soleb. Amenhotep III (father of Akhenaten; grandfather of Tutankhamun) is Pharaoh of Egypt (ruled: 1388 to 1351 BC). This according to Exodus is the name of the Hebrew God and first given to Moses to reveal to the Israelites and Pharaoh. These people of Yahweh already reside in Canaan during Amenhotep III reign. These are the Hebrews before they became the nation of Israel. Yahweh precedes Akhenaten's "one" god in Egypt. It is interesting to note that Amenhotep III's father only became Pharaoh because the first born prince died unexpectedly. That could mean that Amenhotep II (ruled: 1454 - 1419 BC), reigning during the zenith of Egyptian military power, was the Pharaoh of the Exodus and his first born died during the Passover.

    • @HenryAbramsonPhD
      @HenryAbramsonPhD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not that strange, he regularly omits important information (especially in an abbreviated crash course format that covers many centuries in 60 minutes). I asked him about this, however, and he told me that he couldn't even find Shasu in K.A. Kitchen's index, nor does the discussion of the inscription appear in the Encyclopedia Judaica, two go-to reference sources. The Wikipedia article summarizes some of the problems associating this inscription with Jewish history (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shasu); in his opinion (okay, it's actually me writing this, but it is fun to use the third person about myself) for now the Merneptah Stele seems to be the earliest reliable non-Biblical reference to Israel. Thanks for your valuable observation!

    • @mdb1239
      @mdb1239 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@HenryAbramsonPhD First wow, you responding, But I've seen pictures of the inscription at Soleb. Are you saying they are fake? (I don't know hieroglyphics - so I'm relying on others translation work). There are only two places that Yahweh is identified this early on. The other is the Bible/Torah. If this inscription is real, then shouldn't this be the lynch pin of all discussions of Israeli history. From a secular view - this is direct reference to Moses/Aaron (indirectly).

      Christ Jesus the Horite..
      The Horites, called Khar by the Egyptians, were ruler-priests who married chaste daughters of priests. Rahab of Jericho was the wife of Salmon the Horite, the Son of Hur (Hor). Salmon is called the "father of Bethlehem" in 1 Chronicles 2:54. Rahab became the grandmother of Boaz who married Ruth. Salmon (also Salma or Solomon) is a Horite name and is associated with Beit Lahna/Bethlehem and the Ephrathites (1 Chronicles 2:51). The evidence concerning David's ethnicity points to Kenites and Horites who intermarried.

    How are Ashkenazi jews the biblical jews if their lineage goes back to Japheth according to genesis 10?

      1) Ashkenazim trace their lineage (like all Jews) to Shem, not Japheth.

    He misspoke. The Essenes did not "live in places like the Qumran caves." (50:19) Historians think the Essenes live in a settlement near the caves (there is definitely an Hellenistic period settlement, it is debated whether that was where the Essenes lived, but that seems likely). The caves were just where they hid their scrolls because they are hard to get to.

      @@HenryAbramsonPhD In Syria it seems, the Amorite elite rebranded as the Semitic Arameans (Ahlamu) during the Late Bronze Age collapse. From then on, Amorite regions were known as Aram (Aramea). The Amorites are to the Arameans what the Vikings are to the Normans. People still associated Amorites with uncivilized raiders as only the aristocracy were originally considered Aramean.
      Abraham is an Aramean from the city of Ur in Mesopotamia. His son Isaac and grandson Jacob had Aramean wives (Rebecca, Leah, and Rachel). Paradoxically, the Source (transliterated YHWH) uses Arameans to oppress Israel (Judges 3:8) as a punishment for polytheism.
      The Aramean language replaced Akkadian, the standard lingua franca for over a thousand years. The Aramaic alphabet (8th-century BC) came from these Arameans, who adapted the Phoenician alphabet to make their distinct script.
      The Hebrew, Syriac, and Arabic alphabets come from their Aramaic variant (800 BC) of Phoenician. The Old Turkic alphabet comes from Aramaic. Aramaic formed the basis of all significant historical alphabets of Central Asia, such as the Sogdian and Mongolian alphabets. The Brahmi scripts of India also came from Aramaic. The Ionic variant of Aramaic (402 BC) became the Greek alphabet, and the Cumae variant became the Italic alphabet. The Runic alphabet came from Italic, and the Cyrillic alphabet came from medieval Greek.

    Shalom, i find it interesting that your timeline from creation to 200ce in such a short distance as to suggest your(Ashkenazi/Kazar) history goes back to creation. in fact and truth, the children of Peleg(decedent of Shem) are not related to the Japhetic line of Gomer. Also in truth as we are in your season of Hanukkah or feast of Dedication it is actually the beginning of the greek and roman overtaking and dedicating the temple to JUDEAISM the Talmud(not the Torah/Tanak) as explained in your book of Maccabees 1 and 2. 167 b.c. the history of Judaism with the introduction of Hesmodians than Herodians. your presentation works from this timeline of 167 b.c. as the history of the jewish ppl. in my humble opinion. Pls guide me in understanding why in the torah the lineage goes through the Father, but you go by Maternal? is that how you connect your blood to Shem and the seed of Jacob?

      The Torah traces lineage through the father, and he and many like him; trace lineage through the mother because they don't believe the bible. If he is not speaking God words, then who's words are they speaking?
      Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
      1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

      Ashkenazi Jews have nothing to do with Yafet or Ashkenaz since they are descended from Shem, like other Jews. They are named Ashkenazi Jews since when they were exiled from Israel by the Romans they moved into the REGION called Ashkenaz. Thus Ashkenazi is a GEOGRAPHIC label, not a genealogical one.
      Why do black Germans call themselves German?Because they were born and raised in Germany. Why do Jewish Germans call themselves Ashkenaz? Because they were in Germany for hundreds of years.
      Ashkenaz is (kind of) the word for German in Hebrew. So Jews from Germany are called ashkenaz, wether or whether not they originate from there all the way up the line. (Which they don't)
      Why are African Americans called “American”? Why are black Puerto Ricans/Cubans called Puerto Rican/Cuban?
      These questions can go on forever. Identifying with a place you were born in doesn't necessarily mean you are indigenous of that place.
      Here is a link to a peer reviewed genetic analysis that has proven unequivocally that Ashkanaz Jews originated from the Levant and have no Caucasus or Khazars genetic similarities.
