    K-Town born and raised.
I hope Knoxville doesn't fall victim to California and NY liberal infestation like Nashville has. Nashville was a beautiful city untill they came. It makes me sad that they. are trying to destroy our beloved Bible belt.
    Thank you Donnie.

States and USA History can and should never be forgotten and true history should be taught in our schools. A history forgotten is usually repeated.

My Grandfather used to play the old very unique song "Knoxville Girl" by I believe Johnny & Jack to me as a child. Also the "Banks of the Ohio" by The Blue Sky Boys since they are about the same type of songs. He was nearly 100 when he passed in 2019 still driving. He saw The Original Carter family Sarah, Maybelle, & AP sing & pick from the bed of a pickup truck in 1928 or 1929 at the Wilkes County, NC fair. One song they sang was "Picture on the Wall".
Most people today have no idea who those singers or the songs even. Something tells me you know perfectly well who all these are and the songs too.
Good to see a new video from you.

Morning Mr.Donnie. I just got through reading about The State of Franklin. It was so interesting! I am a history buff and can't believe this important part of history is left out of our history books!! So much of our past is neglected or changed just to fit the current political narrative. The fact remains it's already happened and you can't change that part of it. I never knew Knoxville was the first state capital of Tennessee.! I enjoy these history lessons so much. Until next time God Bless

Thanks for showing us the beginning of Knoxville, Tennessee Donnie! I love your history shows and am so happy that you feel back up to doing them again! I always learn so much from them. I also appreciate that you show the Cherokee side of things as well as the settler's side. My family is the product of a 'middle of nowhere' town where the Cherokee and the white settlers got along, so I tend to look at both sides. You have my gratitude for presenting these things as you do. Ben Franklin wrote that there are three sides to every story: the first person's side, the second person's side, and the actual truth! You go for that actual truth every time. I love it!
Y'all take care now! May God bless you and yours. 😊

Thank you so much for this, cousin Donnie! I totally enjoyed it! There's a lot of my and our family history involved in the founding of Knoxville. Brig. General James White is my 9th cousin, 7 times removed, and Governor William Blount is my 12th cousin, 8 times removed. 😃 I hope you're still feeling better by the day, dear cousin, and I wish you and yours Shabbat Shalom and a blessed weekend. G-d bless each and every one, and please pray for the peace of Yerushalayim. ❤

The TH-cam channel Townsends has shown the types of temporary housing pioneers would use until a cabin could be built. They also built a cabin. Really makes me appreciate what my ancestors went through to come to the New World in Colonial times and then what their descendants (still my ancestors) went through to make their way to where I am in Michigan. They did it in stages by various routes. It wasn't easy.
