Bought a shitty S320 2008 CDi in Sydney Australia. Because it stealer was in the city I could not test drive on the highway. Vibration found 85-110 klm/hr and higher. My mechanic found it to be rear centre tailshaft bearing. So beware of stealers and vibrations may not be engine mounts. Usually with hood open, one foot on brake and small jab with accelerator in gear will show the engine twist more or even jump than usual. Should have kept my old W220 petrol Merc. Trouble is I’m a diesel freak too.

When you brace the transmission do you brace it under the transmission pan with 2x6 or put 2x6 under the transmission .

Threadlocker needed?
you could use blue thread locker if you wanted, but ive never found it necessary. i've never had a single bolt back out of anything.
