Me too; a really good idea. I turned old kids' monkey bars into a frame for my hanging baskets filled with herbs, lettuce and cherry tomatoes. I put a board under the baskets across the climbing rungs with pots on it with more veg to catch the water overflow from the baskets above. Some cheap solar light strings draped over the top means I can see the plants at night if I need to pick some for dinner. It's worked really well!
I love the tip re planting large veggies right in the corners of the box and growing them outside the bed! I'm planning for gold nugget and butternut pumpkins next season, along with spaghetti squash and watermelons. I was going to do them all out of the compost heap, but now it seems logical to grow them from the garden bed corners and run them down the mulched aisles between beds instead! It will help keep the ground cool and shaded, as well as make the whole veggie patch look green and lush through the summer while still allowing the smaller plant full sun. Brilliant.
It’s a Leucodendron but I’m not sure which one. Sorry. Pop over to Breanna’s Instagram account instagram.com/tiny.garden.growing?igsh=ZHRsZ2c4MDkwOHp5 and double check with her 😎
Love it! So many great ideas 🙌🏼 The raised beds on wheels to move to sunnier positions is very innovative 👍🏼
Super clever isn’t it 🥰
Love the wire basket trellis with cucumber growing up. Clever. I have many spare wire hanging baskets. I’m going to give this a go
