    I am an Aol follower
    I also admire Sadhguru equally
    Read his books
Even if Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji has made some comments
the social media need not highlight them or compare them
    A totally foolish attempt !!
Both of them are doing in their own ways - uplifting the Human Spirit
    In quite modern ways
In fact I tell people learn Sudharshana Kriya or Isha Kriya
    Whichever you prefer
    The effect is same
    The spiritual growth is inevitable
I am grateful to be living in their times
Let both the Organizations grow many fold
The Sanatana Dharma is introduced to us in quite unique ways
Accolades 🎉to both the new age Gurus 🙏🏽

Something that in my opinion, should have been avoided.

"Adiyogi" is a term commonly associated with Lord Shiva, particularly in the context of yoga and spirituality. While the term "Adiyogi" isn't directly mentioned in the most ancient Hindu scriptures, it's referenced in various texts and traditions:

"The world is, infact, a mixture of truth and make - believe ! Discard the make - believe and take the truth !"
      - Ramakrishna Paramhangsha.
Lord Shiva will continue to occupy the pride of place in the heart of the people, owing to just one simple reason ! He had come forward to drink the poison, on HIS own accord, for the well-being of all - when no one was willing to do so !
I am given to understand that once I.S.Johar, the famous Bollywood Comedian, who happened to be an atheist, was asked by a journalist - "How do you prove that - there's no GOD !" Rapid came the response from Johar Saab - "The presence of god - men !"
People should be watchful of the machinations of all such - styled gods and pseudo - gods, euphemistically called god - men, if not GOD !
Let it be very loud and clear that I use to worship Lord Shiva - the Presiding Deity ; but not certainly an ordinary mortal - masquerading as an avatar of Lord Shiva ! It goes without saying that the very idea, in itself, is not only repulsive and outrageous, but also extremely sacrilegious and blasphemous, since it puts the entire GODHOOD to utter shame ! Our religious scriptures also recognized no other avatar, other than, DASHAVTAR OF LORD VISHNU !
May the WRIT OF THE CREATOR - be it ISHWAR, ALLAH, GOD, or whatever - prevail over everything for ETERNITY !
      🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

And Sri Sri also said the same in a nother video. Before watching all their videos, pls do not make videos like this. Sri Sri Ravishankar is not contradicting nor is he mocking Sadhguru. I'm grateful for Sadhguru, I don't care what others may say, actually until I started seeing Sadhguru, I never actually seen all these other people, I'm pretty sure they seen Sadhguru on you tube and decided, to do the same thing... I mean, what ever a person wants to do is there business, but when I look at these others, I think, how many tree's have any of these other people planted? Sadhguru has made it clear to the people, just how important it is to grow tree's, having a tree farm!!! How many little rivers and streams have they helped to come back to the land and the farms, how many of them talk about saving the soil? How many of them talk about creating Heaven on Earth.. All I see them doing is riding on Sadhguru's back, you don't have to do this, you don't have to do that, I don't care what they say, fine.. I actually think that Sadhguru don't really give a rats ass what they think or say either!!! that's just my opinion, why? Because he is Shiva's partner! Shiva recruited him, these same people are trying to say that Shiva never actually existed.. how sad, very sad only!

"Adiyogi" is a term commonly associated with Lord Shiva, particularly in the context of yoga and spirituality. While the term "Adiyogi" isn't directly mentioned in the most ancient Hindu scriptures, it's referenced in various texts and traditions:
      *Scriptural References:*
      1. *Tirumurai* (Tamil Shaivite scriptures, 6th-12th centuries CE): Adiyogi is mentioned as a name of Shiva.
      2. *Shiva Purana* (10th-13th centuries CE): Describes Shiva as the "Adi Guru" (first guru) and "Yogi".
      3. *Linga Purana* (5th-10th centuries CE): Refers to Shiva as "Adi Yogi".
      4. *Bhagavata Purana* (9th-10th centuries CE): Mentions Shiva as "Yogeshvara" (lord of yoga).
      5. *Agamas* (Shaivite scriptures, 6th-12th centuries CE): Adiyogi is referenced as a name of Shiva.
      *Texts and Traditions:*
      1. *Tiruvachakam* (Tamil devotional poetry, 9th century CE): Adiyogi is invoked as a divine name.
      2. *Shiva Sutras* (aphorisms on Shiva, 10th-12th centuries CE): Describe Shiva as the ultimate yogi.
      3. *Hatha Yoga Pradipika* (15th century CE): Mentions Adiyogi as the originator of yoga.

Yes, you are absolutely right. It's like if a person teaches math, then he or she is called as Maths teacher. Similarly, Adi yogi as a being was the first yogi to spread the knowledge of Shiva to humanity (sapta rishi), therefore that first yogi was called as Shiva too by the people. So, Shiva as a being is different from Shiva as a divine abstract transcendental entity. Furthermore, everyone is Shiva in the fundamental sense meaning that our absolute self is Shiva which we called as pure consciousness (Parabrahma). It's due to the veil of ignorance(Maya) that we feel separated from our true Self (Shiva) .

Keeping shiva limited to any being and classifying shiva as adiyogi and adiguru is limited to a particular time. However in the universal realm of life, the subtle aspect of Shiva is not any person, but the vibration itself.

My Spine. That was a sixer. Out of the ground :) I used to read a lot of scriptures. After doing Isha courses, understood what should be the priority. Sadhguru teaches the missing link. I think he didn’t respond to Sadhguru’s message because, on social media, the idea is spreading that Shiva was merely a man who lived 50,00 years ago, reducing him to a historical figure and missing the deeper truth. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar might be trying to challenge this misconception. It’s beneficial that both perspectives are available on social media, as it encourages people to think critically and not blindly accept something just because it was said by someone.

Also because of easy approach to many philosophical problems and debates without hurting anybody. He can be the Guru Of The Day and we all wish that his followers increase, and that He and his follower do not deviate on their first and relevant aims, and He and His followers could still Pull off a success in long run. Very Well Said! Art Of Living and Isha are two great schools of Yoga and Meditation in todays world. Both are immensely beneficial to the world and both are needed. 🙏
I think this conflict is not a real one, but only a difference of point of the views from which Sadhguru and Sri Sri ji are looking as Shiva. Shiva in Sanatan Dharma denotes both the Formless and the embodiment of that Formless in AdiYogi. Either ways we bow down to both. So its just a matter of how we look at it, and so there is NO REAL CONFLICT.
And it is humbly requested of the PR teams of AOL and ISHA and to the independent youtubers, to not showcase this as a controversy. As it is we are being constantly attacked. Lets be more united than ever. Pranams to both the Gurus🙏

We sit erect during Mahashrivrati because there is the greatest upsurge of energy and pull of forces of the year (such as the moon). Sitting up allows this to happen more condusively. It doesnt mean you cannot lye down. Its like siting up while your food digests, its a little better for your body. It does not mean you wont digest lying down. Sri Sri is articulating this for unconscious people to run rampant and spean against Sadhguru to state he isnt legitimate.
Sri Sri either say Sadhguru is not legitimate or just cut your nonesense.

Master has their own ways of guiding their desciples each might be contradictory to each other. That's their game please don't end up in rage or false conclusion

It takes some intelligence to understand the deep insights shared by Sadhguru. It’s not for all, most of the people misunderstand and criticize negatively just for the sake of criticizing. It just shows their level of intelligence, let’s ignore and move on

Staying awake during shivratri is a custom that has been following for centuries. In Kerala people use “shivratri” for sleepless nights as a phrase. But at the same time I believe shiva is some one who has no origin and end “Aadyantha rahitha”

There was no controversy to start with. Gurudev is entitled to His opinion just as Sadhguru is. School of thoughts differ from each other.
    1. Gurudev spoke about Shiva - the cosmic energy, and asked us to see him as the Eternal being. On the other hand, Sadhguru spoke about a Yogi who appeared from nowhere and thus came to be known as Adiyogi, and in time, came to be known as Shiva.
You have to see the vastness in the thought process. Instead of calling it a controversy, accept different school of thoughts, but follow only what your Guru says.
    2. The question asked by the devotee was, "Can sleeping on Mahashivratri cause harm to the body?" to which Gurudev busted the common notion and said that sleeping on Mahashivratri won't harm anyone. Sadhguru asked people to stay awake on the night of Mahashivratri. He didn't command. Simply put forth his notion. There wasn't any question of harm or good there.
They have their own ways. You don't have to show something as controversy where there is none.
    Jai Gurudev 🙏

Only thing is his name is well known as shankarnath. But Sadhguru somehow strangely seen to hate the word shankara.
Seen from how he chose his comic always doing foolish thing character as shankara and his never paying courtesy to shankaracharya even while taking all his songs and cuts it according to his whims and fancies and using it.

Shiva is both formless and with form..
Formless Shiva has no beginning and no end.
When that formless Shiva takes on a form to spread teachings regarding science of Yoga, then that Shiva is known as the Adiyogi - the first Yogi.
And like all forms he has a beginning in time and space but surely not an end like a "ray" of light. He lives on through his teachings and awareness...

Recently went to Sri Sri Ashram at Kanakapura Road at Bangalore. There is a building like temple. I really felt happy when I saw Nandi ji at entrance and we all know what it means! It's Bagwan Shiv Ji's temple. But all my happiness went away when I found almost 200-300 people chanting bhakti songs but in centre stage facing Nandi Ji is Sri Ravi Shankar's smiling photo with akward posing with garland and beautifully decorated diyas.
Next to this at the corner of the stage is Bhagwan Shiva is Nataraja form with just 2 diyas.
Now which Guru will have his photo that too in front of Nandi Ji and in centre of the stage?
    Guru kaab Iswar bangaya?
When did Guru became the supreme God?
I just couldn't accept so many people ignoring this but chanting bhajan.
Good part is many children study there for free and free food for everyone.
    Am I overthinking?
Didn't see this nonsense at Sadguru Ji's Esha foundation!
If I'm wrong please come here at weekend around 7pm and witness yourself.

🤍💙🙏Please understand....Divine is Achintya - Ineffable. So Divine is manifesting as Sadhguru Vasudev and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and needs to do this leela, this play, where the Transcendent Origin in 2 different appearance bodys seems to a little bit contradict each other....because otherwise how to get the students, disciples, devotees to Samarpan, to Surrender to the Antar Guru which is Absolute Presence and Absolutely Ineffable. As Nisagardatta Maharaj shared: "The more clearly you understand that on the level of the mind you can be described in negative terms only, the more quickly you will come to the end of your search and realize your limitless being." - So any Guru speaking in any language will always hit a wall in that which they try to share because words and language are within mind. ParahShivah, Paramshiva, Shiva, Adiyogi, Adinath, AdiGuru - utterly Glorious utterly graceful words but STILL these can only point to the Transcendent Ineffable Achintya "That" can ONLY be REALISED. And at times both these Great and Genuine Authentic Buddhas have said this!!🙏🍎🌟

The bhshyams of any mantras are interpreted in different ways by many . But the ultimate truth never changes . Let Sri Sri avoid such questions instead of creating conflict in Hinduism . One like raising kundalini sakthi where as others like gyana yoga - but both should not fight each other . Sri Sri team needs to remove this immediately
