I cried at this part. Choosing fergus seems like the better choice. Considering Wyatt seems to be a more vulnerable kid and he fits the part at the end better. Then when you die it was sad because you saved everyone and you've been connected with this character for 16 hours

I agree with the choice, I have only chosen Wyatt to be saved once and didn't really like the character. Still the writing in this game is something I admire no matter what timeline.

Slam Jam Sam Wyatt was only a kid when he "died" in Fergus' timeline and looked up to B.J the whole time. That and Fergus would have accepted being killed instead.

I have to say, that jar could sustain the brains' life, so why didn't William just bring it back to Set Roth? He could have built something for the brain to use, or atleast inject some drug that makes the brain experience good feelings to make up for the "hell" he was put through.
Wyatt went through enough suffering and deserved to have peace in the afterlife and besides it was the best choice to put him out of his misery and if they did that they'd be no better than deathshead

One of the best single player games. I don't understand how it's so underrated. It deserves so much more!
I felt better saving Wyatt. After you rescue Fergus and get back to headquarters, he tells blazkowicz that he would have died gladly to save Wyatt. Fergus even says that throughout the intro he was trying to save Wyatt.
The thing is
If you save Fergus, he tell you that you should have saved Wyatt because he had a lot of potential.
If you save Wyatt, he tell you that you should have saved Fergus because he would know what to do.

The brain extracting scene actually fucked me up, like I'm a lil dramatize but yet he put his friend out of his misery, it made me sad so thank God I feel more sad than dramatized

The part with the brains and spines in the tanks is pretty scary, the parts you see in the tank (brain and spinal cord) is basically you stripped bare, those brains can still think just trapped inside their own mind.

Can't believe there are people who didn't like the ending. It fit so perfectly with the theme of loss and sacrifice that permeated the game. It was sad, but that was the point. The Americans are fighting a war in which the odds are heavily stacked against them, and in those kind of fights, people don't always have the luxury of making it out alive.
Sure, we come to find out eventually that he survived, but at the time I felt the loss.
The issue for me is that they just made it redundant by making a shitty left wing propagandist sequel which was worse in everything accept the graphics.
The game is incredibly good, its only issue is that its just filled with patriotism
What is there to like? A guy who were in countless suicide scenerios don`t know how to grab from DYING enemy hand his granade or just go for cover?

I was really dissapointed in how easy the final boss(es) were. I had a harder time figuring out you had to shoot the zepellins than I did actually beating Deathsead
Played it on Death Incarnate, aside from two or three areas, it's mostly smooth gameplay. Those areas I mainly kept dying because it saved my checkpoint at 20-40hp

Idk why but deathshead is one of my favorite villian concepts in videogames. Maybe its his whole "you do not scare me" quote
General Deathshead is one of the greatest videogame villains, ever. He's very calculating, and intellectual and acts like he's righteous.
Unfortunately there is no option to extract brain from Deathshead. Just this stupid grenade. It will be so good to put his brain to house cleaning robot.
Maybe he is righteous. Maybe he isn't. Ethics and morals aren't really things, even the law benefits the rich and powerful and has no intention of doing justice and good. Everyone dies eventually, even if you were immortal and had ressurection technology, there would be a chance that it would fail. The guy uplifted the technology of the species by a hundred years or more, hell of an achievement.

My father and I used to play the older Wolfenstein games all of the time. I came across these video play throughs and cut scenes a few weeks ago and I haven't even played the new series but it's so good I can't stop. I really need to buy this sometime soon and play through them. I thought he was a badass in the old games, but B.J. in the new trilogy is something else entirely.

the ending, well he's not dead - watch the end credits, listen to one of the most beautiful songs ever and then right at the end hear the chooper sound. It's him being rescued not the chopper flying away. The sequel will show this

I've really enjoyed the game, I'm a bit disappointed with both endings being much the same. I believe timelines were invented just to artificially increase the replayability, but I really liked Wolfenstein for its plot, variety of greatly designed environments, combat system, the polish language feeling natural, nazi soldiers screaming, easter eggs and probably more. What I would change is AI sometimes being dumb as hell, especially about ignoring dead bodies, or prison guards just getting in line to get their asses kicked in melee combat, no even caring that their mates were brutally knived to death. No one ever hears smashed boxes, but once you walk too fast close to nazi soldiers, your cover is blown. There are some graphical issues like Ania's granny looks REALLY weird to me, she seems to have cartoony eyes, or William bitten by PanzerHund before Wyatt saves him.

Did anyone else find it really weird that Deathshead looked the same after 14 years? I mean, it's a bit easier to be lenient with younger characters. Though even for BJ they made his hair a bit greyer in 1960. But with older people not so much, Deathshead looked like he was a year or so from dying of old age in 1943!
I was CERTAIN throughout the game that when I finally met him again in 1960 he would have augmented himself into a robotic body or hooked himself up to some sort of life-support to sustain his life.. it just seems really really weird that he'd still be alive 14 years later let alone look basically the same even down to wearing the same outfit.

Can we just take a moment to talk about how disturbing the "extraction" part is?
I managed to get to that point some minuets ago (yup... I'm playing it on my Xbox one) and that scene fucked me hard so bad that I was desperately looking for the "skip" button.
Although I really have to give credit where credit is due since, generally speaking, the scene is studied to scare the player and show how bad Willheim (DeathsHead) is by making him cruelly cut open the guy and breaking into his skull with the spinning thing with the little blades.
Good job and after all both fights were really epic and I liked everything about them (except that scene 😅)
The whole extracting someone's brain and putting it in a robot body appears to be borrowed from, or at least inspired by, the manga Battle Angel Alita. About halfway through, Desty Nova extracts Zapan's brain and puts it inside the Berserker body. Zapan's soul is tormented by the experience and lack of control, and begs Alita to put an end to him.
This exctraction disturbing me also. I always played JRPGs and never WW2 - inspired shooters. However, after I adopt myself and stop feel distressed and scaring, I bought all 3 parts available for PS (especially because they are incredibly cheap, like $25 for all 3 parts). Waiting for holidays to play. However, I think the game is not completed because there is no option to extract Deathshead's own brain and put in into floor cleaning robot.

You can hear Blazkowitz voice breaking down when he is talking to Wyatt as its like he is about to cry, amazing scene and acting.
These 3 games are really poetic and beautiful if you get past all the murder, blood, and sadness. I can't explain it, but you know exactly what I'm talking about. Just the way the characters are all designed

I wonder when there will be an actual sequel, one where B.J. Is still alive, at the end you still hear the choppers and no explosion, Wolfenstein The Old Blood shouldn't have been the sequel, so I hope there is still one more game where they carry on with the story

Deathshead deserved what he got in the end, he killed countless of innocent people in the name of ‘science’ and showed no mercy or remorse towards his victims.
But thankfully in the end his paid for his evil deeds with his own life and justice was served for his victims that he tortured, experimented on and or killed.

This and Old Blood were probably two of the last good Wolfenstein games since RTCW, cause that was and still is the best Wolfenstein game.

I just realised Deathshead cut Wyatt's eyes out before vivisecting him
Your eyes are directly connected to your brain via nerves. The Extraction Process:
1. Remove the eyes, freeing the front of the brain from the head
2. Cut open the back, paralyze the body by disconnecting the spinal cord from the nervous system.
3. Remove any hair and the first layer of skin from the back of the head.
4. Cut open the skull
5. Disconnect the brain stem
6. Immediately transfer the brain into the super-magic-tech preservation can thing to ensure the brain survives.
7. Store until able to connect to machine body
8. Force/Receive electrical signals from the brain to provide logic and orders to the machine using human intelligence.

Slime Boy Fergus is a much better character, though. So I saved Fergus instead
Bj has been stabbed so many times and walks away like nothing happened. Gets shrapnel from a grenade and cant walk
I really wished wyatt (if you chose him to die) made an appearence in the new colossus as idk maybe his brain in a robot or something

The robot......... it was sadder than wall e being alone on earth
What makes both Fergus and Wyatt's death so sad is that you get a good glimpse of what they could have become had they survived. For me seeing Fergus in a jar is devastating after spending the first playthrough with him alive

I hate this part, but I love the music and the way it starts up.
Filled me with a sick mix of despair for a lost comrade resurrected in a horrible way, and an ever-raging blaze of pure fury.
The ending is probably the best part of the game. Such epicness and hopelesness at the same time, going to confront Deathshead after all these years (both IRL and in-game) with the grim knowledge that neither of you will likely survive the encounter... And then the melancholic ending with just the right amount of ambiguity on whether or not B.J. survived. Brilliant.

After the credits song, you can hear the sounds of rain and distant thunder and then an approaching helicopter, implying that BJ got rescued before the nuke was launched.

I can't tell if I'm a wimp now or if I've just grown up to have feeling, but that ending is really sad. I find it hard not to shed tears as your former squadmates literally begs you for death from inside his new robotic body. If I were a dumb younger version of myself playing this game, I probably wouldn't have cared.
I love this game, and this is the canon ending to the Series in my heart
The final veteran antagonist can only accompany the player up to this point.
The subsequent antagonist characters lack the charisma they should possess.
So sa ending... :( poor bj....but I think it would be also great If we somehow learned that anya was pregnant...

clux madex Well.... at the end of the credits you heard the chopper coming back. Then there is the fact that the Nazi's still rule the world so you gotta get rid of the rest so, I think it is safe to say there is going to be a sequel.
