Hi folks, I found this video useful. My 2011 Honda Fit has been displaying an IMA light, and a message "I CANT CHARGE". A diagnostic machine showe there is a fault with the MOTOR POWER INVENTER, is this the part that has to be changed or just buying new cells would help?

Hello there i got a 06 honda civic hybrid and it has the ima and battery light solid on but i check the volts on each cell to confirm battery pack is good and it was so i order a used working dc converter but problem still there do you know what can it be?
I replace my DC to DC converter that I bought seconds hand online marketplace. But my car still not charging the 12v auxilary battery. I have a question do we need to reprogram anything when install a new DC to DC converter? How can I test if it is a problem with a DC converter or my car itself?

You don't show actually removing it. After removing all the bolts, it still doesn't come out, because it's blocked by battery terminals. Still trying to figure out the best way to get this out, which would have been nice to have in the video. :) [Edit: ah, it's that bracket on the lower left that you don't show removing]
Dc to dc converter and intelligent inverter is these both same things?
If you turn off that hybrid battery switch... will that kill power to the ac compressor and make it safe to work on??? Please respond!! Thanks!
Yes, it would be safe, but I would always refer to the repair manual and take proper safety precautions.

I have the same problem in my 2007 honda civic hybrid. I have been manually recharging the battery modules (reconditioning). I watched this video, but you did not confirm by testing on the video. did the DC to DC converter resolve the problem? I am tempted to buy a dc to dc converter replacement on ebay but I am not sure this will fxx the problem of not recharging the 12V battery. I am in Utah. What state are you in? Thanks for your video.

is that the same as an "inverter"? Honda dealer told me the inverter (which went bad at 115,000) was $3500.00.

Its iMA battery fault need to replace dtz y battery red light on in speedo meter .. you can’t drive long if red light is on .. car stuck n off .. soon no drive on long way . U need to replace iMA battery
Have a 06 civic hybrid. When car is running the 12V battery drops like yours did on your diagnostic video. But when you rev. the car, the 12V battery voltage goes up to 14V. We suspect the DC to DC converter but wondering why when you rev it, the voltage goes up and charges battery if the DC to DC converter is bad? Any information would be very helpful. Thank you

Do you think the dc converter fix the problem?
Something is probley pulling power from the 12volt battery when the car is off. And amp draw test would need to be done to isolate the problem.
