I've never seen the ocean except for from a plane. So why am I so excited about this? What a wonderful vessel. I can't wait to see when you have a full crew
"you invented a ramming ship!" hilarious. Stunning looking boat.
I'm sure you've noticed other channels following your decision to go aluminum. That doesn't go unnoticed. You've been saying it for years. Good on ya, Peter
I feel it's an evolution of economics. Aluminum boats are premium to fibreglass boats. Sailing channels start from the bottom and slowly increasing their followers numbers, reach and income, therefore they can afford bigger and better.
Alu is the best fo adventure since … a while, we have strongal as example here, still, its not industrial, need good design as heavy, and good building, not the entry point of youtuber that can make money also from deal with producer …
Way to go Plukky. Thanks to both for sharing.
Thank you for introducing us to Odisea 62,
Fantastic Sailboat,
The safety features of this vessel are simply incredible, and sailing will certainly be much more peaceful.
Good winds.
For everyone that doesn't understand what they are watching, even Plucky would have a hard time sinking this thing. Lol. Cheers dude.
Deren
They said that about the Titanic :-)
Haha. If you know you know!
Hey! Stop picking on Plukky. It happens to the best of us.
Don't list to 'em Plucktser.😉🌊🍍🥥🎼🎵🎶🤘lol.
The amount of time Put in to design these boats is off the charts, best bang for buck undoubtedly.
Caveman, Your new boat project is getting very exciting. This boat makes sense. Delos, eat your heart out. lol
Probably too much of a commercial Peter however a wonderful boat that I could never afford. What’s the price of the Odyssey 48?
@@stevesteel6066
I was wondering the same regarding the 48 price.
(edit) there is a post down further from Plukky $940K
There is a major design flaw: The hoplite's helmet should be facing the bow. Awesome boat, Plukkster!
Absolutely!
This is an awesome Cat the Odisea62. Go for it Peter return the 48 go for the 62
More Top stuff plucky thank you
Thany you Cap'n Plukky! ❤❤❤❤
Very exciting Plukky!! Looks like you're in good hands with this company. 🤗💞
What a beautiful boat. Can't wait till your boat is in the water Peter. Burlington Bill busking on the road and on you tube. Currently in Deming New Mexico.
Wow great looking addition in the Odisea family.
Sensible and strong! Good qualities in a sailing vessel.
What a stunning piece of naval architecture. Makes me want one of my own!
Being a bigger boat I wonder if it would be better with a forward placed interior helm. I think one of the major design flaws of other large cats was raising the back deck roof and boom for comfort.
Looks beautiful
Big stuff there. Good they have configuration options. Like a small villa.
Plukkys sailing school to be announced soon, I hope! Missed you so much you little beauty!
Thanks, Plukky. Great boat.
awesome looking and very well built boat great stuff
Good Day plucky I'll take one 🙂👍
Thanks for the review. A magnificent catamaran. Still, the same review about ODS 55.
nice boat - good presentation. Interesting things in youtube. Delos, nahoa, MJ and you all talking designs
Love it, Love it, Love it
Now that is a boat to take around the world
Looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Fantastic Sailboat....
Amazing
WOWZERS" what a ship !!
Nice cool boat
Plukky is The Skipper of the year 🎶🏆💐
It’s a BEAST
impressive stuff people!!!
I'd love to have a boat for catching fish made like that with aluminum and all the structure. Cat hulls are awesome.
I'm excited for you Plukky. Can't wait to see how you fit and finish your boat. Seeing her on the water will be really cool. So good luck, and be careful. Buena suerte y cuídate mucho.
Liked now I commented too.
beautiful boat!
If I bought that, you would be dinging over every day to do your laundry Plukky! Very nice specimen indeed.
Plucky You are So much Smarter than you appear with that Crazy Hair.....Best of LUCKY to You. Praying that you will get the Best Crew Ever... Watching with Anticipation 🍀 🍀 ❤❤❤
I like it, but since I've test sailed a windelo 50 adventure I'm personally only interested in forward protected cockpits now
Nice Commercial. I will not winge because I hope this helps Plucky get his
I hope so too
If you are worried about the added weight form glass solar panels then look at Cigs/Yuma panels. They are flexible and rated to last 25 years. They are military grade.
Being able to walk through to sails in bad weather is nice. Would need shade cloths for that front sitting area.
Will a Pluckster look good on this beautiful boat? I don't know can't wait to see.
As soon as i win the lottery i will be giving these guys a call.
Almost nineteen meters❤. That's a lot of room for activities😊
How do the fluid dynamic simulations look?
I like the use of standard solar panels. What they lose in aesthetics, when compared with the slick walk on top solar mat types, they’ll gain in energy efficiency and cabin shading. If they’re attached to brackets, like on house roof tops, their raised position will help keep both the panels and cabin below cooler maximizing energy output and passenger comfort. Not to mention make it easier for trouble shooting and individual panel replacement. You should reach out to Sunpower who have panels with built in Enphase micro converters …. offering a single warranty for two pieces of equipment … both the panel and micro inverter … a huge win, win and avoids one party pointing the finger at another party if an issues arise!. :o)
Indeed
Sail drive or straight shaft? Needs a sliding roof option over helm like the vision 444. Awesome feature.
Good one. Cheers
Great looking boat with some very nice touches only one helm station? Docking port too?
é um sonho
i'll do all the fishing. when/where do i board?
I'm wondering if it has a cold rock s maker. Remember those cold clear rocks that used to fascinate plucky in the San blass 😂 stunning piece of architecture.
Máy đẹp Plucky. Thích, đăng ký, bình luận mọi người.
Very nice boat - same old question. What do you plan to use this no solar panels "performance cat" for.. Blue water cruising or enjoying the sunsets in the Marina and entering a race with a professional crew now and then.
Really nice but WOW ! How many crew ? this is the size you getting Peter ?
Goodonya Plukky ⚡️⚡️🤙🤙!!🇦🇺
I must of missed the one where you described the motor propulsion….?? Hope you are not using sail drive’s..??
Keep up the good work 🤙🤙🧿my next big lotto win will see me to be a 62 Odisea owner😁🇦🇺
🌺🐝🐉🍄🐸🧿⚡️
Funny... I've been playing with designs, -I have no architectural training, let along navy...- and I keep coming up with a battle ram keel/blade, too, but I see it for build simplicity...
I like the Odisea 62 a great deal but for this size vessel, I would have expected a wider saloon door to the cockpit. It looks rather small making the saloon disconnected from the cockpit. Catamarans these days have spacious openings that integrate the saloon area with the cockpit into a single large socializing area. Seeing how this is a fully custom yacht I expect that feature to be customizable.
I can arrange a meeting with you and Markos as itts all customizable. Send me an email to peter@elcanoworldchallenge.org
Those are the colors chosen for the vessel....or is going to be any change?
oh, nice
Does it have enough side cover there at the helm?
Nice advertorial plucky. Sound was 💩. The boat looks freaking awesome. Will be great seeing you give one of these things a workout in the Elcano. Cheers RichKiwi 😁
You could have a dance hall on that mama.👍
Nice boat !
How much it cost a 48 ready to sail ?
940k
ya need to say 'it'll bend...instead of breaking'...that should be your channel tag
What will be the price tag and how long to build it.
2.4 and less than a year
il est superbe ce Catamaran odisea32, pourrais avoir l'estimation du prix de ce catamaran au Vietnam. merci d'avance
2.4
Solar batteries and electric engine?
Looks pretty much like a Mumby to me … i guess the deveil in the detail oh it is 62’.
Everyone seems to be selling tickets ,for all kinds of prizes lately , maybee ? 🎉🧐😁
It's a freaking SALOON...not a salon..
Its actually both
It’s both… in the US, it’s a salon, and in Europe, it’s a saloon. A saloon in the US is an old, western bar, usually with the iconic double swinging doors when you enter ;)
@SAILINGintoFREEDOM In Canada we call some ladies a saloon because well, you know, swinging doors and lots of drinking, the occasional fight and everyone is allowed in etc
How many coins would this O 62 cost ?
2.4m
How much $$$ is this beauty?
2.4
Aw, I was so close. It looks like 67th to comment. :( well maybe next time 🙂
Holly shit!
I smile when you say “aluminum”. Potato or potato? ⛵️
aluminium
International language 👍🏼
I laughed so hard. A new international word with extra syllable! Love humor
😂
@@wavehunta. Well I learned something new. That is a true word. Usage from dictionary is how USA began using it. But originally it was spelled “Alumium” Thanks for sharing
@@seagirl1100 Well we all know you're from North America by the way you pronounce it.
I like it but my dingy needs to be 5m
Which one is Lisa's cabin?
Whichever she wants
The fact that the dingy is hanging at the back and can fill with water as well as catch full sun im not so sure about ...a lot of cruisers are going for Al or poly prop puncture proof dingies if they can carry them ..extend the cocpit roof over the dingy and build the lifting beams into the roof that way you get protection for the dingy ..in bad seas you can hoist it up under the roof and keep the sun off it. You can also lift heavy loads or outboards off the tender onto the rear deck.
Exposed raised helm nope, freezing rainsoaked wind lashed and sun stroke . Definately shift to an inside outside forward cockpit with all winches and controls inboard at or near the mast base cut down on the line runs..and running around esp short handed in bad weather.
Make sure all life line stanshions are at least 1m high .
All that weight on the back of the boat up high doesn't sound optimal, then again this is a massive craft. I definitely agree with the helm idea tho.
If you have ever sailed a cat in anything from a beam to close reach you will realise the forward cockpit area is the freezing soaked by spray area, anything aft and higher up is the dry area. A simple bimimi and or roll down enclosure takes care of rain or sun
A helm inside with solar powered cool air con going for those topical destinations 😁🇦🇺
We are making alloy dinghies too... didn't you see it
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM
Missed that bit Pete sorry not sure how... might suggest a cat form tunnel hull and bow rather than a rounded nose V hull .. for stability reasons and it helps getting it on the plane .
Beautiful boat?
Sorry please read: beautiful boat!
Peter, did you know the Titanic was UN-sinkable...
Pfff. It was only made of steel and rivetted
USD8K PER FOOT?
Hi, Aluminum is the way to go and survive anything, plastic cat like Parlay came apart again!
Enjoyed the content but the audio was horrendous. Next time record it in a tile shower, water running and it would sound better. While you're there might as well invite some girls. Your 48 is way cooler, this thing is just too big.
Pretty isn't it?
just listen dude let the man talk
The audio is terrible, can hardly make some of it out. Wish you would redo.
Welcome to my channel.
If this involves a Greek engineer then f#@& yeah....Greek's knows bout ships than anyone!!
Do you mean because of their merchant fleets?
@@jamesaron1967 we r sailors from the start of our history m8...that make us mayyybeeeee....at least 5000 years of experience !
Plucky MATE! You need to understand one thing.. Everyone that has the $$$ will want creature comforts afforded to them with a CAT such as any multi hull .. even a DAZ cat has creature comforts... I understand fully that you dont.. for the challange.. but if you are trying to "onsell" these vessels to the public... and asking for Millions of $$ they WANT creature comforts.. they want Gensets, Engines, Dishwashers, Victron Inverters etc... You wont sell to anyone if the same comforts are not afforded for a basic DAZCAT! Just saying mate
Ps pluck.. i get your passion "back to nature" but noone with millions $$$$ will get it!
Booyeah comment

Galvanic corrosion is real, granted it has been well known in boating and sailing aluminum is much more durable, but it will fail without proper care.
Be better if powered instead of sail.
"Invented " or a copy of the Mumby.......
I don't think Mumby had a 62
.
