Clear, crisp, precise, accurate, informative, precise narrative; so refreshing when compared to A/I trash on other sites. Always enjoyable. Thanks for all your efforts.
I commute Sunday-Thursday every week, and love the hustle and bustle of Jamaica. I feel like everyone things I'm crazy 😂 also, I've never seen a switch throw in action! That's super cool!!
504 has a fan club in the US. Thanks for posting a video of it in operation. Always, thanks for the videos of LIRR in general. It's a mystery railroad for those of us in the sticks.
LIRR is one of the truly incredible operations on the planet. Jamaica is at the top of the list. Great video. Now pardon me while I go to the iPhone store😊
One of my favorite things about your railfanning videos of Jamaica is the many rhythmic sounds of train wheels hitting the jointed rails there. For example 4:18 when trains take that route over the switch and go over the frog and jointed rail. 👍 👍
I got a iPhone 16 pro back about September and also noticed the difference in terms my videos. Prior to this -- I was using a basic iPhone 13 and while I was pleased with what it can do -- the 16 pro runs circles around it. As well, there are things that I can do with the 16 pro that I couldn't do with the 13. Like recording to an external SSD which allows for greater flexibility video wise. Anyway, I'm sure you will be pleased with your purchase. As well and as a rail fanner myself -- I've learned a lot of things about the rail systems particularly in NY because of your channel. That being said -- looking forward to more of your great rail fanning vids!
I had to play that move back a couple of times One thing look like was going out then it came it was coming back in the other train look like it was going to go out switch over to the other track and then it came in and they look like there was about to share the same track even though I know there wasn't and then she turned I'm like wow and you got a perfect shot of it
Beautiful, crisp production value. Good work! While in New York for a few days, took round trip to Long Beach. M7s both ways. The windows look like they've been coated with some translucent material - could barely see out the windows. Very disappointing. Does anyone know what that's all about?
Good evening Rail fans last week I went to Grand Central terminal you would not believe what I saw down there when I went there I was looking for signs for saying Grand Central terminal and there's signs all over the place saying Grand Central Madison isn't that a dumb name for a station that's so historic but it's called Grand Central terminal?
most of the time I railfan around Garfield NJ so that's how I came up with that and whenever me and my friends go railfanning something goofy always goes down so I thought about the times me and my friends go railfanning and the spots I usually railfan at I came up with this name
Hello there Mr. Tim, I sure wish I could get a heads up when you're planning to visit the Philadelphia / Bucks area again. If you do ride up to Warminster line on Mon, Wed or Friday, you may want to stop in at Giant store at York and Street Road. I usually work those days. I can't really tell when or if I go down to the Warminster Station. Of course, I rather go back to my Neighborhood and Railfan at Holmesburg Junction, except my scooter doesn't fit too well on board the Silver Liner 4s or 5s
So you must be a good friend of Tim's I hear i Railfanned and holmesburg junction it's a pretty decent place I loved seeing the track for the holmesburg junction
Hate to keep speaking on that same angle with those two trains up to each other but that's one of the best shots and it look like you were in the middle
iPhone 12 Pro and I just paid it up and they had this deal for the 16 pro providing a trade in the old phone. My monthly payment is a little bit less too.
Oakdale station is now quiet now that Dowling College closed 8 years ago. Also lot of stores and restaurants in the area closed as a result of the college closing
Your new iPhone 16 Pro has a much higher video resolution than 1080p - you'll see a great improvement in video clarity and focus if you shoot in 4K resolution, which is 2160-p, doubling the clarity. I know you're accustomed to working in 1080p, but it's now no longer the video standard. See what you think after giving 4k video a try.
looks really good for a phone camera I must say. shame the weather wasn't nice to back it up. only issue is that video off those newer iphones takes up a lot more storage.
@@3985uprr I do 1080p for that reason as well, though I recently bought a proper camera with a lot of my YT funds which takes much higher quality video even at the same resolution. I'll continue to use my phone though for more crowded areas or places where it isn't as easy to set up a tripod.
He saw Tim on platform C. Rolled by in stealth mode. Gave a nice toot toot when departing too. Unfortunately the neighbors have been filing complaints with the railroad over the horn shows.
Here is some news from Caltrain the F-40’s and the double deck cars as been sold to Lima for the commuter rail lines for $ 6 million dollars now CSX news CSX repainted an engine to Pan Am colors keep your eyes open for it

Great clarity. Wow,. And Jamaica is always fun. I use your Jamaica vids sometime to fall asleep to the rhythm of the rails.

I binge watch these videos because it’s informative and fun to watch.
A great video, thanks for sharing
Excellent! Thank you!
Great picture quality. Great array of trains. Thanks Tim👍👍👌👌🥰
I can appreciate the new phone and camera because it really made me appreciate my favorite parts, when the trains entered the station
Of course it did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@3985uprr just living the dream like Cranus mcbasketball did in regards to his passion and favourite part , the train entering the station
Nice camera shot move you got that split that train look like it's about to hit come into the same track and switch right off
Couldn’t get shots like that with the other camera
Wow looks beautiful with the new camera!

May i ask? How do you get all the imformation where trains are going and coming from
Online tools mainly the TrainTime app
What town do you live in
Great picture and outstanding sound. I watched using Apple earbud headphones; the clarity and stereo imaging was impressive.
There are people that want me to shoot at 4K but that takes up a lot of storage, but I’ll use discretion on which I would do that way
@@3985uprr Definitely get shooting in 4K. It's so rewarding when you watch on a TV.

Amazing activity at Jamaica. Thanks! Do you have any videos of the roundhouse and turntable action?
No, I don’t have that kind of pull

It’s the type of glass they used
Damage from the ultraviolet light in sunlight, I think?
Those DE/DMs look beat up, but they are still war horses. EMDs rule
They need a mid-life overhaul. With proper maintenance, they can last another 20 years.
@@Leonard_Wilson keep dreaming there beyond there life span
@Leonard_Wilson it's over for them. LIRR chargers need to happen soon. Infuriating to have your train canceled because these things fail.

I just tried out my 16 pro for the first time railfanning on the same day it went pretty well

I'm unfamiliar with the train cars; does each car have a hot shoe and does each car have propulsion?
Yes they do
