I was in Valldemosa when I was a child, and I loved the place. My uncles told me that Chopin had been there, which fascinated me, since I admired him as a child. 👏👏👌Great video. 🌹

“It’s a huge Carthusian monastery, stuck down between rocks and sea, where you may imagine me, without white gloves or hair curling, as pale as ever, in a cell with such doors as Paris never had for gates. The cell is the shape of a tall coffin, with an enormous dusty vaulting, a small window… Bach, my scrawls and waste paper-silence-you could scream-there would still be silence. Indeed, I write to you from a strange place.”
    (Frederic Chopin 28. December 1838)

I am lucky enough to be and live in Mallorca. Valldemossa is really one of the most beautiful villages here.

This was very touching to see ...Where can i buy this documentary? I went to Valldemossa and through hell ... just to stand next to that piano, and experience a bit of Chopin in this earth! I was fascinated about this place, since I was a child and heard about their story and his music.

that's one of the holiest pianos ever played by Chopin. its highly possible he wrote sonata 2 'grave (death march) in that cell-like room at the monastery. his state of mind was in utter despair by then, having tuberculosis :(
wow, i bet that place was extra creepy at night...hence the scary music brought forth from that 'spooky' hilltop

Lovely - too bad they used a nocturne instead of a prelude as accompaniment, but the nocturne is lovely
