- We just love Spain we really do and we are so excited in this video to bring you along while we explore La Coruna. This popular cruise port has so much to offer, whether that's that's an excursion or exploring at your own free will.
We came here onboard the P&O Arvia and just spent our time here walking around at our own leisure ,so hopefully this video gives you a good idea of some budget friendly things to do. We also show you at the beginning some examples of the excursions that our cruise line was offering if you're more interested in doing one of them instead

We think that La Coruña is a beautiful port to visit whilst on a cruise. There are so many free/budget friendly places to see/visit in this port. We have been here twice now and wouldn't mind coming back at some point for a 3rd

We went to la carona when we were on the anthem of the seas. Loved it there. And did a very similar walk to yours. Look foward to your next vlog. I was there in May and walked to that park. I went through the town instead which was a really nice place. Definitely worth another visit next time my cruise stops there.
Morning Kev and Stace. Just back off our 2 week cruise on MSC Virtuosa and our final stop was A Caruna. We thought it was a stunning place to visit and will definitely visit again.

Just back off Arvia this Sunday. We went to the restaurant you pointed out near the Observatory on a P&O excursion. Had tapas and wine and the views were stunning!

Would love to see a video from you both comparing all the P&O ships you've been on. We're going on the Iona (Canaries) in October and went on the Azura (Caribbean) in 2019 so it would be interesting to see which of P&O's ships you preferred. Maybe you could try and work your way round them all! Now there's a fun challenge for you 😁

Lily of the Nile. There is actually a smaller one and it has more blooms on it. I saw one variety that has deep purple. They come in white too.

Those flowers are called agapanthus Stacey. They come in different sizes and are sometimes white.
La Corunha that's the way we Portuguese say it, La Coruña is the way the Spanish write it but on saying it, sounds like Portuguese.
Happy belated birthday Kev, and don't worry about how to pronounce in other languages, we all do it, the only way to learn is with the locals, dr. Google sometimes makes a mess out of it.

Pero, irmao portugués: como podes dicir que é "La Coruña" cando ti sabes que no noso idioma, irmao do voso, é A Coruña (A Corunha). Son idiomas fillos do mesmo tronco: o galego-portugués medieval. Unha mágoa, unha pena, que tantos portugueses escuezan á Galiza irmá.
Coruna a beautiful city to just walk around and admire the sights , its a lovely cruise out following almost the coast walk . Shame no lunch meal vlog 😂😂.

GALICIA, amigos de "One Couples Adventure. Distinta de la España tópica que se vende a los extranjeros: flamenco, corridas de toros, paella, feria de Sevilla, Fallas, toros en san Fermín de Pamplona, etc. Galicia, sitio distinto.
It was a beautiful place to visit! We love Spain in general. We would love to drive through all of it one day on a road trip
No, Galicia is not the same as Andalucia or Catalunya or Las Canarias, neither is it better or worse than the other regions. Flamenco, corridas de toros, paella, feria de Sevilla, Fallas, toros en san Fermín de Pamplona, etc may not be from Galicia, but they are all worthy of celebration as aspects of Iberian cultures. My friends from Catalunya are as proud of their (authentic) Paella as you probably are of polbo á feira.

Pero, lo que he querido recalcar es que la imagen tópica española no es aplicable a Galicia. No somos ni mejores ni peores, por supuesto, pero no es justo que, por ejemplo, haya vídeos del Camino de Santiago en los que la música de fondo son compases de guitarra flamenca; incluso entrando en la plaza del Obradoiro de Santiago de Compostela. Es como si una banda de gaiteros gallegos acompañaran a los romeros del Rocío andaluz; sería estrambótico y absurdo. Ah, la imagen de Galicia ligada al "pulpo a feira" es otro tópico, ahora aplicado a Galicia; otro estereotipo más. Galicia es muchísimo más gastronómicamente hablando que el "pulpo a feira".

Think the flowers were Alliums
The Galacian language (regional dialect is very different to Spanish) drops the L so to a Galacian their resort is pronounced A Corunna! We were there a few years back on Anthem of the Seas. We spent 15 years living and working in Spain before returning to the U.K. Just up the road from you now between Shrewsbury and Telford. Enjoy your trip Spain is not what it was 5 years ago:( We lived very close to Cartagena
