Doberman is my new favorite pet just for the stakes of a full team pivot half way through. It gets wild and can pop off like crazy.

Magpie is super good this week with the puppy. It's free puppy scaling... just make sure to save extra before your puppy has more attack than the magpie so the magpie doesn't steal the gold first. Buta fter that, your puppy scales then the magpie eats the gold for you to spend the next round.
Yeah it negates the downside of puppy by making the 2 gold that u normally would save and waste each round into just 2 gold that is carried over each round.

The contradictory emotions I feel when I see a title that implies a 10 piece but I also see a thumbnail with an almost-maxed level 3 cone snail that he definitely should've sold before it became his strongest unit are making my gourd spin. Snail cost fallacy stays winning.

Nah, but he's not wrong when he says it's a very pack 1/2 type weekly because the best strategies almost always involve a low tier unit getting super-statted by scaling early and not giving up on them.

The Doberman seems really cool, but I've never been able to make the whole transition to tier five and survive. I also haven't played with it much though
@Kenny Baker Become a believer in the hercules beetle. Beetle gang reigns supreme!!
But seriously having an early beetle makes the late game transition really smooth with a very consistent 16-30 attack on the new units that you buy. Absolutely cracked with a german shepherd or cobra and I've also had success with doberman and reindeer

I've been loving catfish cow games. Just won a game using catfish, cow, surapod, seal, silver tailed fox. Needless to say, level 3 surapod, level 3 seal, pretty much maxed out my team in about 4 turns
Catfish/cow/seal is busted this week
ye lategame food builds are the shit^^ overall you get a lot of hp scaling, and then lategame peanuts
Just remember not to level up catfish if you’re doing catfish/cow bc it just spends more gold for no benefit

I ran a catfish zebra this week and it was very fun - I agree with what NL said - this week is taking one big unit ‘to the freaking moon’ and scaling

I'm loving this weekly. Even though it is scale heavy, there's a lot of team comps that you can make for the scaling to work. It's a fun weekly to experiment to find a win.
My first run of this weekly was a 10piece and came mostly thanks to a level 3 snail, and short of a draw was almost a flawless. It holds a special place in my heart now.

Definitely hope NL gives Doberman a try this weekly.
During one run I was on the verge of collapsing in the midgame when Doberman was what I got on a tier 3 level up. The rest of my team was not gonna hold up long term but would just enough to where I felt like I could survive just long enough to switch the rest of my squad for tier 5+. Once I did my team went on to completely steam roll and I marched my way to a 10-piece and only lost 1 life.
It did help that I got pets like lioness & a nasty German shepherd/cobra combo that went behind the Doberman but still, Doberman can do the distance if you play your cards right and get the right pets around it

i think this weeks trumpet build is even more insulting than the doctor fish without any trumpets, its that dumb tier 1 thing that can get a max of 3 trumpets at lvl 3 and then the multiplying whale thingy, what a joke xD

Those are all pack 1
I think he meant what's centralizing, though. You could certainly run those in pack 1 and they could sometimes work. But especially pre nerf to things like penguin, the scaling vector in pack 1 was nuts. You could have 3+ 50/50s often by mid-teens.

I like this weekly, the toad plus mosquito combo has been carrying me.
Maybe I just don't understand the power of the toad. I feel like once any snipers are off the team the toad is useless. Without snipers you have to hit something to make it weak and override its food. Which feels pointless cause odds are it was going to die on the second hit anyways. It's situational at best

This weekly is so much fun, what I've been doing exactly has been, get a toucan, stock up on toucans, tier 4 shop rolls around, get a banana, and then get pills and just get a bunch of monkeys, and then a doberman and boom, I've had like 5 victories already lol, doesn't work all the time tho

I had a ton of wins in a row by focusing on early wins and then transitioning to catfish cow. It just works wonders with reindeer/cobra/doberman etc. Plus, you can get monkeys by pilling bananas lol
That early dog he rerolled was what I would’ve grabbed on that second run but I’m not an egg so what do I know he summoned the sloth dog I’m but a peasant

The key Is going full monkey spam by pilling animals with the banana(?) food. Buff one monkey until you get a dobermann or a reindeer and you're good.
NL I think you massively underestimate rooster, you never talk about pivoting into it when it pops up early, they're so good with snakes

This weekly is so fun. I got 10 wins today with level 3 Sauropod level 3 Goat and level 3 Starfish. By the last turn I was able to buy 18 gold worth of food and pets for the low price of a free 3 gold from the buy sells

You can get 10 wins easy with cone snail moth early and going all in on three units, after getting to round 7 buying a llama and another scaler such as a orangutan, then turn 9 buy a monkey and from there just level and buy lemons. I've got like 6 wins from this.
I wish someone loved me as much as NL loves the damn Orangutan. That animal is cheeks, so low impact, always buffing trash. 'Ah yes, my 1/10 monkey sure is pogging'.

YOu need to get ur shit going turn 8 or you will get snowballed by the 4 llama squads or the squads who got lucky dragonfly monkey level ups. Basically played against 40+ stats pets turn 11 and further. Fun weekly but insanely difficult if you dont get lucky with the booster pets.
The plays were horrendous in this one
