Brother you are using the bird to buff tier 1 units that you are just going to sell as soon as possible, when you could buff the best 1 star unit (the bird itself) until you get a unit you want to keep (like a bat or puffer fish) and start buffing that. There is no reason to buff a fish, cricket, pig, mosquito, and so on, because they are all worse mid and late game than a self buffed bird.

This has to be in reference to the popular streaming platform twitch, which I imagine he started streaming on after that one TH-camr met him in a grocery store and said he was really rude
The real move was pivoting from deer to leopard when his dragon got on board. Buffing the attack of the leopard would've done serious damage, more than the bus, really
keeping the deer instead of a leopard is so painful. Nl would legit be so much better at the game if he jus stopped overvaluing deer, pufferfish and peacock.

But from what I can tell, base stats eventually trump everything, and synergies that increase base stats are the next best thing. I've had so many extremely elegant summoning squads that just get destroyed by one buff hippo.

the bat is at least sometimes good. The deer just sucks hard. Its at best mediocre.The stats are just not there, at low levels its fine but later on the splash attack does nothing and it just gets beat by stats. Its not worth the gold to invest into it
13:00 Finally won my first game in this at this exact moment (watch NL's videos while I play this too). Used Monkey, Swan, Dodo, Kangaroo, Hippo. The funny thing is most of the units were lvl 1 (only hippo and dodo were lvl 2) and my stats weren't too high so suprised I won. Was lucky and used the level up after the turn you unlock tier 3 units and got the first hippo as my free lvl 4 and the rest was history.

Has anyone tried the dromedary ice strategy? Where you keep a shop pet frozen long-term as it stacks up dromedary buffs from the same ScalingCamel over and over forever? It seems like a terrible strategy. but I've never tried it so could be wrong.
Its a rather slow tier 2 strat. Tier 2 is where you start to try to high tail it out to some proper scaling, and a +1/2/3 after every battle on potentially good but mostly bad units is a gamble.
@@mao6942 I get that. Midgame strats seem to be big losers in general. Early game (sacrificing scaling for immediate easy wins early) is good because it basically gives you a lives budget for later losses, and late game strats are the only way to max out on wins, if you consider that important. Middle mans doesn't do anything.

How does the Dromedary actually help with scaling? It only gives a small buff to the first set of shop friends every turn, and it’s not additive over multiple turns. If you put them directly into the lineup, they keep that buff, which is not much (how many times in one buy phase are you swapping out friends), but if you combine them with other friends, you don’t keep the Dromedary’s buff. I think it’s maybe worth it for the first few turns after turn 2, but outside of that I don’t understand how it is useful.

Hey NL if you wanna know a strat that is kinda busted (I just got 3 10 wins in a row with it ) its (from right to left) germ, turtle, puppy/bison/ pretty much any scaling unit, and 2 caterpillars
I wonder how this game chooses its snapshots. If it only picks winning builds, you will end up with harder and harder matchups overall, or increased RNG builds that got lucky. (like level 2 bat builds)

I installed the game too and found out that the stats are capped at 50. My tall build worked fine anyway. It was something like 🐅🦤🦭🦚🐄. The dodo gave a lot of attack to all three in front. The tiger doubles the effect. The cow and seal synergise nicely.

Nah, if you want to have splash damage just put a pepper on a buffed unit that actually does something, like leopard for example. A bus is essentially just stats with pepper.
