6.47... “Crustacean of the Nation” that should definitely be one of your catch phrases on your merchandise range! 😄 Great vids... kept me stoked through lockdown 🤙
Loving these regular uploads Joe👍. Boat and Landrover review would definitely be appreciated and possibly good to do if the weather is not conducive to fishing. Great work as always.
You get an immediate thumbs up just for the scran shot in the intro. The bottoms of those knackered steel piles looked like daggers waiting to impale 🗡🔪🪤
Yet again a great video Joe!!Those crab cakes looked tasty😃And now I'm hungry 😃Would love if you could make a land Rover and Boat video and talk us threw why you choose these to. Looking forward to the next video 👍
JPK and chef Barkley cook book please, maybe with a foraging section? Love the videos, only recently found your page and you back catalogue is helping me escape the stresses of my day to day. Should my treatment go well I'd love to give spearfishing a go but for now I'll have to get lost watching these videos. Thank you for the content.
Nice one Joe! I recognise that disused quarry jetty from another channel! 😉😉 It would be a great shore fishing spot, but the signs on the approach road warn against entry. Great food from you & Barcley as always - bring on the next episode! Stay safe & well. 👍👍
Hi joe,if the crab is to wet when you open the shell add some crushed up cream crackers to it and it’ll thicken up 👍,great video and thank you for your precious time
Ha! Just woke up, sat down on the throne. Opened youtube and thought, “Gonna tell Joe I’m pissed cause we need a new vid!” ........”Yeah, gonna gripe at him good!” Joe, you barely escaped my wrath. Lucky you. I guess you’ll have to dive on Monday, edit and post Tuesday, then start over! We can live with only 3 per week. :) Great vid as usual!
Hahaha I know I decided to go fishing on Sunday so uploading Monday was out of the equation... Better get started with the next! Thanks Brent hope you and family are well :)
Hi there Joe thank you for posting your videos, on your reconditioned I convinced my wife to buy me the Cressi Cherokee speargun for my Christmas present. What is the chance of you doing a little review video showing its features . Thank you again for all the hard work you are putting in to producing the videos . Robbie from Ireland
You had a lot of weight on. On that dive was it cos you were going shallow or thick suit.? Well scetchy going under that metal work great vid great hunt. 👍👍👍👍 don’t forget batteries on boat if they are not already wired up. Bet they are knowing you 😁😁👍👍
Nice one Joe i used to fish here back in the 80s we were catching lots of wrasse and mullet there. I did notice the lobster had a piece of tail missing did you put her back? Thanks for sharing as always and looking forward to the next one.👍👍
Hi Nigel! It’s a beautiful place to fish isn’t it. Many mullet seen that day actually but the bass were quite small. Yes I did return the lobster I should have made this clearer - we just ate the crab 👌
Nice to see a Crab cook up. I love their taste more than Lobster, although eating either is a pretty rare thing for me. Maybe more spearing will change that.
I'm salivating!! Another good catch and cool Joe, random question here what was it that you served with the crab cakes: the tomato, red looking stuff :D perfect use of the English language
Oooh man.. it looks soooo yummy.. im still at work hungry.. this is the dish i will try 100% could have mixed some fresh dill allso with parsley dill+seafood=good. Can you tell me whats that yelow stuff is it something like breadcrums or some speacial stuff?
Hello Joe ! awesome video ! if you ever come to Scotland - give me a shout ! I make wooden , eco-friendly spearguns. In case you want to try one ! Cheers mat
You need a lazy stick for the recesses. You know, one of those gizmos about 3 feet long that has a handle on one end and pinchers on the other .....so you can pick up debris in your yard so you don’t have to bend over. Just a thought.
Instead of breadcrumbs.... Get some Chilli heatwave Doritos and grind them down to breadcrumb size and use that to coat your cakes - be it crab, lobster or fish. 😎 We've never used breadcrumbs since discovering this.... And if your kids don't like chilli type heat? Use cornflakes the same way.... 👍
Hi Paul no it wasn’t, I just damaged it’s tail a little with the hook. In fact the part of the lobster that is notched is a different part of the tail actually 👌
@@JoePkSpearfishing yeah pal i know its one in that you normally do. i just thought id mention it as not every where does the v notch scheme. love your videos you are amazing free diver

Loved this episode, excellent foraging!

Haha! It would be a dangerous place to be above water that's for sure! Beneath the waves it's more forgiving somehow!
My mouth was watering!! Top job
Thank you 😋
Excellent, and a million thanks for the recipe! Looks delicious ! 👍👍👍

Yes added weight as it was so shallow and I didn't want to be bobbing up into the daggers haha!

Sounds great! We used breadcrumbs yeah!
What kind of dive light do you use? I’m in SoCal looking for a dive light for night dives and hole hunting
que envidia me das por poder pescar marisco en España lo tenemos prohibido a la pesca submarina, a disfrutarlo
Espero que estés pescando de nuevo muy pronto mi amigo!
Where are your vids taken? It’s so beautiful.
This was off the lizard down in cornwall
Dude like to see you do a catch n cook with lobster rolls
I did in a video earlier this year!
Great video, I would personally give it at least a hour in the freezer to put it to sleep.
Thanks for the tip!

Genius!
Do you eat the roe from the female crab? And a lobster question.Who is the widest over the back is it the male or the female?Hav å great day😃
Female has the wider back of the lobster. Yes I usually eat the roe !
👍
My cousin dives down there, I will try that with a bit of white fish to stand in for the scallops, my wife like them whole.

Question: A Captain Joe Pk dive + the culinary skills of Chef Barcley = Tremendous viewing experience?
Answer: Correct! ✔
Haha! Easy question! Correct!
i love celery in my crab cake
That's a great idea thanks!
i think i would eat most of the crab meat while extracting it haha
Haha easily done!

No worries Paul. In fact we did return the lobster anyway as it was a bit on the small side 👌

love your show, but lately the music is too loud to hear your voice. FYI :)
Noted!
Uhh,......where’s the new vid???
Should be tomorrow!
Are you allowed to keep lobsters with tail damage where you are? Round my way he/she would have to be returned alive.
No you can’t keep lobster with damaged tails.
I don’t know why but that crab meat did not look appetising lol
