This area being a post apocalyptic ruin of human civilization under sunset light, and having this song playing, with the ticks of the clock... It's made me feel so many feelings, like our time on this earth is counted, yet life will still keep going. It's such a melancholic sentiment, the first level of Ravaged Rustworks was an awe inspiring experience!
I believe it is this level where you find the broken watch that olimar labels the doomsday clock. For whatever reason he believes the watch was counting down to the end of the world and he's not sure if the fact that it's stopped means the end was prevented or if "this world has already run out of time".
Kinda strange to see a post human civilization be seemingly calm, but given so many people already. The least we could do is shift our attitude so maybe this gloomy future isn't inevitable.
this theme makes me think of a game that maybe doesn't exist. about a little mouse-like creature finding an old, rundown, rusty and abandoned machine in the forest. the machine, unmoving but still cognizant, if barely asks you to help it, fix it from the inside as best as you can, so maybe it can move on its own one last time. and as you work on it, you learn little by little what this machine was and how it came down to this sad end.
This thing is just a delight in many ways. I really love the first and third areas of this sector, The Lonely Tower and the Pollution Pool. Aside from bringing to my mind human things, those areas are awesome game play-wise, thanks to the backtracking that they have. They remind me of the last secret level of Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Endless World of Yoshis. That Metriodvania-like style of levels in not Metroidvania platformers is very neat, they need to be more abundant, but also handled correctly (like the Endless World of Yoshis). This theme really ambientates those areas very well (and it kept me from going insane in my no death run through Pollution Pool help). Mostly in The Lonely Tower. Getting to the top of said tower, and collecting the Private Castle in that summit gives a *_very_* strong feeling in many ways, which was just potentiated by this theme.
I heard this song on a playlist and immediately thought: wow, I don't remember this Chrono Trigger song, but what a nice remix. Then around 1:02 I thought, is it Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 8? Then I stopped what I was doing to see what song this was. Was not expecting it to be from Hey! Pikmin at all. But I absolutely love it.
I just came here for the credits of any videos of the youtuber Pikminnono (he speaks spanish) I actually can't had "Hey! Pikmin" or a 3Ds, but his soundtrack make me feel comfortable
There are a lot of people comparing this song to Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger, which isn't a bad comparison at all, but to me this sounds most like a song from MOTHER 3

@@HumanOnEarth128 My god...that is so poignant....
wow
This is the best area in the game, hands down.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
1:13 That sequence of 5 notes is just fantastic.
That pan flute right after… really sets the mood
Why did this song made me cry........? 😢💔
You’re not alone. It’s so peaceful, yet solemn; very self-reflective in nature.
The sequence of chords was chosen to instil emotion in the listener.
i love pikmin

Right in the feels for this music in a unexpected way when I got to the first level of ravaged rustworks
This makes me feel so happy, Im not sure why but it makes me feel so relaxed and like everythings going to be okay
Wow such a strange but beautiful song
The Lonely Tower may be one of the best moments in the franchise.

I’m not a fan of Hey Pikmin, but even i must admit it has some of the best music in the series

I also thought of Chrono Trigger!!
Fun Fact: Ravaged Rustworks is the first sector in Hey! Pikmin to not introduce a new Pikmin.
