I LOVE the look of your tank! I’m always looking for tanks for inspiration and this is really what I’m aiming for! Planning on starting a reef tank in the next year so love seeing sump setups, what tech is being used and how it’s maintained. Will keep an eye out for more videos here
If you wanna get the air bubbles out, just put a little super glue or silicone on the tubing connectors. They always suck air from where the tubing connects to the connectors. 👍🏼
Gotta get that Xenia out! You could get a lot more space for other corals if they’re gone. Nice progress. Could mount electronic board outside the stand and avoid humidity damage to your electrical/electronic equipment...
So far, I’ve seen so many people say never keep Xenia in your tank because they multiply and take over but I think they are really cool looking 😅😅 Am I odd? 😂
@@Reefer_NYC it is pretty much a standard flaw with all dosers apart from maybe apex and vertex. RODI conversion is the only way to fix it. I'm doing it with mine.
@@Reefer_NYC yeah using a acrylic tube. But it's a problem that most dosers just don't hold the suction to keep liquid in the tubing. And the cheap check valves just don't work most of the time. Only sure way is to go with RODI. Eat sleep reef has the video on how to do it. Its simple as but costs a few bucks to do it.
What’s your stock list of fish/invertebrates? I have Pyjama Wrassie Clown Fish 2 Fire fish Blue tip damsel Jade Wrasse Regal Tang Cleaner shrimp 2 snails 2 Hermit crab Just wondering what else I can get away with I’ve been told my tang is going to outgrow my tank what is your experience with the regal/hippo tang
Good work with the fuge, just know your skimmer is prob going to grow algae also. You can buy controller boards from BRS or make one yourself. I would get all electrics out of the humid environment for longevity.
How do you keep the sand clean, or do you just let it absorb and break down waste? I am going to be setting up a 250 or XL 300 this month and am contemplating going glass bottom to keep waste from settling. Any thoughts? I have also considered a very thin layer of ultra fine sand just to keep the aesthetic of a sand bottom.
Where did you get the connectors for the Voss bottle lids for your doser? Can't seem to find them anywhere as currently trying to do a similar setup! Thanks!
Awsome tank. Just got myself one from Facebook marketplace!
Tank looks amazing! What's your light schedule? Would u mind sending it to me?

Beautiful tank man!!
anyone know how to remove the filter socks black tray like the one on this red sea reefer 250 v1?
You should do the RODI tubing upgrade for your doser, eliminates air in the lines.
Is that really the solution? Why would that make a difference?

@@richardportelli1983 do you have the connection directly into the container or do you have a connector in between the container and doser?
