At least the CFL is somewhat competitive and you need some athletic ability. There are no 300+ pound guys in the CFL. That’s why Brian Pillman played for the Stampeders instead of the Bengals - Americans don’t appreciate athletic linebackers who can sack a mobile QB or block a pass with regularity.
Well they did before the NHL pulled the plug unlike their darling southern teams which they keep on life support. Jets had Selanne about to appear, Numminen, Housley Tkachuk, Steen, Zhamnov about to come over from the USSR. They couldve been a very good team into the 90s
