  • In this video, I am outlining the plan and starting the process for a fiberglass corner mount sub enclosure. This is my first attempt at building an enclosure like this so it is a learning process, to say the least.

    How long was the wood cut from front to back of trunk ? The long side of the piece you made
    Thanks

    • @Foxcraze
      @Foxcraze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was originally done in 2019 so I’m not certain how long it was I made the template using the factory carpet and just cut it the full length of the carpet and trimmed to fit.

    • @Foxcraze
      @Foxcraze  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have thought about it but shipping something this big would be a buzz kill. If it were a local build it would be easier and more doable.

      @@Foxcraze Hi thank you for responding. I own Q50 and I'm building the Q50 and I need something like this. I wanted to know if you can build me two of them for each side for 12" inch subwoofers and I'm willing to pay for delivery.

    No need for the MDF base board, and if you would have used non-stick spray before adding the fibre, it makes the release much easier.

    • @Foxcraze
      @Foxcraze  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the tips! This was basically the first time making a box like this so I figured the mdf would be a good solid base. Good to know for next time!!

    • @Foxcraze
      @Foxcraze  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Demetrious Woods haha, well thanks I appreciate it!! The enclosure sounds really good for it being a sealed deal. The tone is solid and over all I’m really happy with the end product. Hopefully after watching the series you will like the result too! Good luck building yours, it’s def a time consuming process but well worth it.

    nice work . to save yourself a hassle you could have fiberglass right off the tape and not used a MDF flooring and not had to measure. just make sure you have at least 4 good layers so its stiff. so in a nutshell you could have done the floor of the box and the side at the same

    • @Foxcraze

      @Foxcraze  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like explaining what I am doing in videos but sadly It’s a never ending battle when making content for youtube. So many people like so many different things. You will have people say stuff like: no need for all the talking, just put the work to music, put music in during the lapses, play music the whole time. I appreciate everyones feedback though and try to cater my content to everyones liking the best I can.

    Not insulting the creator of this video but if you ever have someone doing work for you and they say “it is what it is” find someone else to do the work for you or do it yourself.

    • @Foxcraze

      Well since I built this enclosure myself for my own vehicle, I don’t see the relevance of your comment since I don’t provide this as a service to other people. Unless you were just speaking generalities in which point I agree completely.

    Installing an entry level sub and amp into an Infiniti Q60😂

    • @Foxcraze
      @Foxcraze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a 2014 Q50 and isn’t an expensive or special car by any means… I didn’t need to buy anything beyond “entry level” to get better quality over what the factory installed Bose amp and sub produced. That said, I got exactly what I was wanting out of my setup. Thanks for stopping by!
