Good review. I have an M4 (15 plate) and it's fairly accurate re the pre lci equipment. Can't agree with you on the handbrake though. If you forget to take handbrake off then that's your issue
Its most likely me. I am in and out of different cars all the time. From pedal operated handbrakes to handbrakes located on the right of the drivers side (UK) its easy to forget. Car has enough torque for it to drive off with you noticing. Thank you for watching and I appreciate the feedback!

Traditional handbrake for handbrake turns, which people who are likely to get an M4 are not unlikely to want to do so. Also easier to put the traditional handbrake for both the auto and manual than an electric for the auto and traditional for manual.

@@jesusguido6986 I can see them depreciating alot in the next few years. A 2016 will be worth significantly less. Not really a car you want to have sitting in the garage. Better off with a Porsche 997. It's a nice car but the drive isn't special enough to have it just as a weekend car.
The comment you made about liking cars with fixed drive settings doesn’t make much sense bc everyone has different taste for diff situations so manufacturers should cater to that
It is more of a reference to older cars. You just drive the car to condition. Not the car changes to suit the condition. I feel as though this makes you a better driver. But you're comment is also true. Thanks for watching!
@@ks3788 Almost any 911 or Cayman GTS 4.0 would give you so much more driving pleasure for that price point. It won't be as fast in a straight line and I personally think the Porsche interior is lacking compared to BMW in the infotainment department.
@@CarswithJay Touche. Thats my second choice if I didnt get a f82 m4. A 911 or 718 gts. But I dont think they sound as good but they have potential to do the job and can put down power. But as for tech bmw wins hands down. I am a big tech guy so thats my thing. I just hate how the m4 doesnt put down its power as it should. so I have some thinking to do. I think im going to stay below 65k as I wont daily it.
I have one of these, and also another BMW from 2021 which is filled with new technology. Most of the new stuff is either completely useless (like gesture control), or downright annoying (like Intelligent Safety, that has to be manually turned off every time you start the car). There is none of it I miss in the M4. In fact, I think the F8X has the perfect balance of analog and digital technology. Worth noting is that I am not an "M Drift Analyzer" kind of guy.
I genuinely do not understand buying these cars other than in a manual. Its the most driveable car ive ever driven. Its doing the car a disservice being automatic
I bought one in 2016. Back then everyone was bitching about the forced induction. Roll forward a few years and everyone is chatting about it...because its cheaper.
It was more my experience. I drive alot of cars and the parking brake moves around alot. Jumping into alot of M cars it's easy to miss it if you are in a rush. Thanks for watching anyway!
I agree to an extent. The interior I find is very poor quality. The BMW feels slightly better material wise but it’s not night and day. The engine sounds better and it’s a fun car to chuck around. But they’re generally more expensive.
The almost 100 extra hp from the c63s amg makes the difference in the price. The m4 is more equivalent to the c43 amg. Tbh i owned bmw's all my life and there was always too much cheap plastic especially in the center. Everything in my 2015 c63s is either metal or extremely nice material. Glad I went with it over a 2016 m3
@@seanrigney2349 I was the complete opposite lmao. Went from owning Mercs all my life, until I sold my 16 c63 and brought a 16 m4. The interior on the m4 feels levels above quality wise, and I prefer the sat nav screen on the m4 over the glued-on ipad look on the c63. The c63 had a more flash looking interior, but quality wise the m4 feels way better imo. Also I'm not sure where you're getting the m4 is equivalent to a c43? In a straight like the c63 feel slightly faster no doubt, but when it comes to bends there's a clear difference between the two, the m4 is simply a better driving car
Definitely looks better than the latest 2021/22 model.

I have a week to decide if I will go pick up a 2016 M4 with the executive package 🙃
Tough decision. Depends on what else you had in mind, your budget, what you are going to use the car for and what car you are coming from.
@@CarswithJay I used to be a camaro owner. But I came across M4 with a very sweet deal.
Looking for weekend car. I already have my daily driver. Will the 2016 be a good car to keep 3 years from now?
@@jesusguido6986 I can see them depreciating alot in the next few years. A 2016 will be worth significantly less. Not really a car you want to have sitting in the garage. Better off with a Porsche 997. It's a nice car but the drive isn't special enough to have it just as a weekend car.
Why do UK cars look so clean?
Are all M4 models twin roof? I mean convertible?
Not all M4's are convertible. But the M4 does have a convertible variant. Thanks for watching!
TBH looks pretty good
My dream car
What car would you have other then this ?
What price point would you have in mind?
@@CarswithJay 50-80k I would say giving average price for competitors
@@ks3788 In that case my other choice would be an F90 M5. Brilliant cars and the refinements of the 5 series over the 4 makes it a winner.
anyone knows what rims are those?
STROM STR2. Thanks for watching!
It doesn't matter if it's still good, it's still too expensive for my broke ass xD
The technology is oudated........but I really love this car!!!!!!!
Any newer Technology in this car or the f80 M3 would just detract from the driving experience in my view
Can you please tell me in summary what is the newer technology? I’m actually looking to buy one of these.
I thought they came out 2015
Released in 2014. Plenty 14 reg cars for sale too.
bro handbrake comment is a really wild take .. dont do that yourself
24k now way these cars go for 42k+
Absolutely agree. Luckily to find 1 for 35k with low mileage
Well done mate you smashed it,
Personally would like to hear more negatives
And also can you review an M240i
Thank you for the feedback and thank you for watching!! M240i sounds good just need to find someone who has one and ill review it
It's the last best M car
The old bmw is very good then new one TRUST ME IS A BEATS
Reg plate is letting this car down
If you forget to put it down idk what your doing 😂🤦♂️
I genuinely do not understand buying these cars other than in a manual. Its the most driveable car ive ever driven. Its doing the car a disservice being automatic
i thought the M4 came out in 2015
2014 and production stopped in 2020
Does this goof ball really not know that m1 mode is the customizable drive mode
I bought one in 2016. Back then everyone was bitching about the forced induction. Roll forward a few years and everyone is chatting about it...because its cheaper.
People don't like change. But then we adapt to it. The engineers are ahead of the curve. Thanks for watching you made a great purchase!
0p
How is a handbrake useless and who would forget to put it down asides from the fact of not moving? Rubbish review
It was more my experience. I drive alot of cars and the parking brake moves around alot. Jumping into alot of M cars it's easy to miss it if you are in a rush. Thanks for watching anyway!
No
Please elaborate?
Mercedes c63s amg is better
Why
More torque, more hp, better styling and better quality of parts used in the interior making it more luxurious
