If you have the 13, this is a strong skip! If you’re like me with an 11 Pro Max, time to upgrade! I’m glad you pointed out that these new phones these days don’t really cater to owner’s of the previous year phone. A lot of tech reviewers base their whole review off only the previous year.
Dude I used the iPhone 11 Pro Max and I changed it yesterday for the 13 pro max and I think that they’re almost the same thing battery life is not that different so if you still have 11 pmax maybe wait for 15.
@@angelramos1884 I have had 11 pro max since last 2 years. Got 13 pro max a week back. It’s a big difference. Screen size, Smooth refresh rate (biggest difference i felt) , battery life (2-3 hours more) 2x better cameras, better speakers. It’s a better overall phone in every aspect
I used 14 PM for a couple of weeks, went back to my 13 PM. While I thought the upgrades were valuable I did felt it was not worth spending 1200 this time around. Will hold out for 2023.
My loaded out 6 plus lasted me over 6 years before Apple made it obsolete. I upgraded to the 13 pro max 1tb. I expect the same performance from it and absolutely love the phone. Rather than spend money on a 14 I opted for the new Apple Watch ultra and a set of airpods pro 2nd generation. Very happy with this combination.
6:24 13 Pro Max has more saturation, than 14th. Who wants to top off memory quick with 48MP? Who need a cell phone quality pixel peeping? If I want better image quality I'd rather use my DSLR. 48MP camera on cell phone is just a fancy expensive toy. Besides models of v.14 and up kicked SIM tray off the phone, means if I break my phone it will be a pain to transfer eSIM back to my old phone with Nano SIM. Without working phone you'll have no access to eSIM number, no service to call to your provider, no GPS to find nearest office /shop of your provider. I don’t understand why, after removing the SIM card slot. Would Apple make the battery smaller on the 14 Pro Max, instead of increasing the battery size. Especially since the A.O.D has been implemented.
One of the big deal breakers for me has been the lack of a physical sim slot! Also, the battery life on my 13PM has degraded since updating to iOS 16! It was excellent on 15 and now great ( not excellent ) on 16 .. Battery health still at 100% after over a year..
I agree... it was also not until I could hold my new iphone in my left hand. The new display helped alot. I can not wait until iphone 16 super . Saw it early in pc weekly mag.
Hey, I used 13PM for one year and upgraded my self to a 14PM couple of days back. When the time I changed my 13PM my battery percentage was at 88%. Could you please share your thought on how to maintain battery percentage at 100%even after one year. Would be so helpful for me to correct my mistakes and use my 14PM in a better way. TIA
I agree on the “want” part because to me it’s not a MAJOR change to be honest for the average user. I doubt the average user could really tell the difference. I agree with the full video!!
I'm one of those people who is 5-6 years behind and debating whether to upgrade to the 13 Pro or the 14 Pro. You hit the nail on the head there at the end lol. I just realized exactly how far behind I am feature wise with my XR. It doesn't FEEL like its been that long but somehow I'm AGES behind. I think I'm going for the 14 Pro!
I’m kind of in the same boat. I have the iPhone SE. my speakers are going out so it’s time to upgrade. So far I haven’t seen enough for me to warrant purchasing the 24 pro. I do do live auctions on whatnot live and stream it on my phone. So after I figure out which is better I’ll determine if the cost difference is worth it
@@shannonthornton9911 I ended up getting the 14 Pro (not the pro max) because I use it as a camera for my business and the specs are slightly upgraded, even if its not immediately visible. It'll save me an extra year of not upgrading too, because I figure I'll have to upgrade sooner if I get the 13. That was my logic with it! I've never even held a 13 Pro before but I really like the 14 Pro and don't regret updating at all! It really is a HUGE upgrade.
My situation now however I think I'm going to settle for the 13 pro max ONLY because that dark green color hits so differently than the black & purple. I'm also on a time crunch so price wise it's still a better move than sticking w/ the 7 plus😭
I can definitely see a difference in the 14PM and the clarity and light being let into a shot. Not upgrade worthy for most folks but definitely Performance and Camera ability.
I just changed from my S22 ultra to the 13PM because I didn’t like the curved screen and keeping screen protectors on it. I love the 13PM because of the flat screen. Thank you for the in-depth video and your honest opinion.
I have both s22ultra and iphone14 pm as well. I’ve had one screen protector on my s22 ultra the whole time with no issues since it’s launch. I use the white stone dome 2 pack. If you don’t like curved displays then why not get the s22 plus model?
@Jer Cy interesting I had my s22 plus and it handled everything just fine. Samsung has came along way with ram management. The only reason I went for the ultra is because I loved that qhd ltpo display.
I could see a hint of green tint on the iPhone 13 Pro Max camera vs 14 pro max has more of a slight hint of a purple tint. But overall both are quite the same to a regular consumer.
what exactly is the advantage of that tiny 1mm segment above the notch 😂😂 The cinematic mode is seriously flawed. you can't shoot 25fps, so flickering LED is far more common. also., it's just 8bit video so you can't grade it. i don't understand what cinematic video is for because it's certainly nothing to do with people who actually want to edit their videos.

Last iPhone I had was the 12 Pro Max and now I got this absolutely incredible 14 Pro Max. I have absolutely no regrets even though I could have saved a minor few bucks getting the Pro Max 13
Thanks for the video, helped me decide to go with the 13PM. I personally feel as though the 13 cameras produce a more natural photo/ video. The dynamic island is great but for the price difference for the 14PM I think I’m alright with going with another notched iPhone and save a few hundred $$$

Great content. As for the Island when the screen is in full mode video is playing behind the Island more of a distraction. As for the cameras they look the same.
I got the 14P from the 13P. You won’t even notice, other than the color of the phone is different, you don’t even notice. The island blends in so seamlessly with the software, it doesn’t feel like a new feature really. Think about it, it only displays minimal information, nothing vital, so you barely look at it as is.

14 Pro Max is better but I miss my Sierra Blue 13 Pro Max. Apple needs to make that color an Annual color. Even if they have to get rid of Silver. Apple needs Gold, Sierra Blue, Orange, Black since Apple Sheep are not use to Black Phones like we were in Android, and A new color option per year.

I only upgraded from 13 pro to 14 pro max for battery life while traveling. Unfortunately ios 16 seems to give me less standby on my 14. Battery last longer but not much. Still have battery anxiety. Stanby was amazing on my 13 pro. Smh

Which carrier do you use? I have both s22ultra and iPhone 14pm and att gave me an esim card and I can switch between my devices just fine. At least for my s22ultra it has esim and physical. Hopefully it works out for you because I can see all companies doing this next year.
@@Marcstang04 yes. I’m your settings on your Samsung go into connections and find where it says esim. It will prompt you to scan the card provided by att. Just know that your device currently not connected to the esim must be on Wi-Fi. Before though you must disconnect your previous device from the esim in settings.

I have both and the 14 is better in most ways and I like the idea of the island but when i use the 13 pm it’s nicer watching videos cause the notch is less intrusive.honest opinion.just mine

I love my iPhone 13 pro max. And yes the battery last longer. I’m happy about that. The quality of the camera is great as well. I will skip the iPhone 14 pro max and I will wait for the iPhone 15 pro max.
To upgrade to the 14 pro max, are most people dealing with a cell company that supports eSim? If your cell company doesn’t support eSim, then stick with the 13 pro max.

Came from a 13 Pro Max, and i miss it. The Dynamic Island is so irritating with pictures. I can't read any text at the top, and it is annoying when watching videos, it's leaving a black hole at the screen. Otherwise no difference what so ever. Battery life is the same, camera is the same unless you are a pro. Switched the allways on display off for better battery life. If you want a iPhone, go for the 13 Pro Max
In europe the value on iphones is dead , i bought the 512gb 14 pro max which was €1800 as i could not get a 1tb model , but i managed to get the higher gb and thought should get around 1500 , as the phone was hardly used and looked brand new , well the highest offer i get is €1100 a huge 700 loss , simular on my zfold 4 i bought the lower gb but regreted it so bought a 1tb version and only lost €100 , maybe in the usa the iphone keeps its value but outside its worth less than an android phone.

I am currently using a base iPhone 11 and have a 14 PM on the way, and as you said might as well go for the newest that way to get the most out of it for longer even if they are pretty similar Edit to add: I work at a factory where I use my phone for anywhere between 8-10 hours straight with music/podcasts and video/sports streams so the battery jump will hopefully be very noticeable from what I’m working with right now

the 13 Pro Max has a slightly warmer “color science” straight out of camera.
the 14 Pro Max is just so slightly more detailed around the 8min mark.

Surprisingly after updating to iOS 16 my 13 pro max battery still is great. It lasts all day I love it.

Great content. As for the Island when the screen is in full mode video is playing behind the Island more of a distraction. As for the cameras they look the same.
I got the 14P from the 13P. You won’t even notice, other than the color of the phone is different, you don’t even notice. The island blends in so seamlessly with the software, it doesn’t feel like a new feature really. Think about it, it only displays minimal information, nothing vital, so you barely look at it as is.
We truck drivers can use these safety features for sure!

You are absolutely correct. 14pro max dimensions is narrower and a bit taller to compensate with the dynamic island.

I have the 13 pro max and I am very happy with it ,not really interested in the 14 pro. Hopefully the iPhone 15 pro max will make a big change for me to trade in my 13.
The 14 pro wasn’t set to auto brightness cause the display is for sure noticeably brighter now.
Auto brightness is turned on…and as I said to my naked eye it is brighter in direct sunlight

14 Pro Max is better but I miss my Sierra Blue 13 Pro Max. Apple needs to make that color an Annual color. Even if they have to get rid of Silver. Apple needs Gold, Sierra Blue, Orange, Black since Apple Sheep are not use to Black Phones like we were in Android, and A new color option per year.
Im actually gonna buy 13 pro max in Sierra Blue instead of 14 :D. Also,13 pro max looks slightly wider,which I like a bit more

I only upgraded from 13 pro to 14 pro max for battery life while traveling. Unfortunately ios 16 seems to give me less standby on my 14. Battery last longer but not much. Still have battery anxiety. Stanby was amazing on my 13 pro. Smh

Considering I switch between IOS and Android the e-sim is a no go for me(at least while Android has a physical sim card).
Which carrier do you use? I have both s22ultra and iPhone 14pm and att gave me an esim card and I can switch between my devices just fine. At least for my s22ultra it has esim and physical. Hopefully it works out for you because I can see all companies doing this next year.

@@Marcstang04 yes. I’m your settings on your Samsung go into connections and find where it says esim. It will prompt you to scan the card provided by att. Just know that your device currently not connected to the esim must be on Wi-Fi. Before though you must disconnect your previous device from the esim in settings.

I love my iPhone 13 pro max. And yes the battery last longer. I’m happy about that. The quality of the camera is great as well. I will skip the iPhone 14 pro max and I will wait for the iPhone 15 pro max.

Came from a 13 Pro Max, and i miss it. The Dynamic Island is so irritating with pictures. I can't read any text at the top, and it is annoying when watching videos, it's leaving a black hole at the screen. Otherwise no difference what so ever. Battery life is the same, camera is the same unless you are a pro. Switched the allways on display off for better battery life.
If you want a iPhone, go for the 13 Pro Max
Man every single review said that the display of 14 was much brighten then 13,you should keep them on auto brightness to see the difference.

In europe the value on iphones is dead , i bought the 512gb 14 pro max which was €1800 as i could not get a 1tb model , but i managed to get the higher gb and thought should get around 1500 , as the phone was hardly used and looked brand new , well the highest offer i get is €1100 a huge 700 loss , simular on my zfold 4 i bought the lower gb but regreted it so bought a 1tb version and only lost €100 , maybe in the usa the iphone keeps its value but outside its worth less than an android phone.

I am currently using a base iPhone 11 and have a 14 PM on the way, and as you said might as well go for the newest that way to get the most out of it for longer even if they are pretty similar
Edit to add: I work at a factory where I use my phone for anywhere between 8-10 hours straight with music/podcasts and video/sports streams so the battery jump will hopefully be very noticeable from what I’m working with right now
