I hope Beersy Games make a Super Contra/Probotector etc.
The weapons are definitely better than original. I was confused why no base stages, kinda took a page from the arcade version. The backtracking was unexpected but a welcome change.
My thought exactly, the backtracking is a nice touch. Also like how the gun doesn't reset to default after dying.

The game looks attractive to play and beautiful otherwise. But those fast animations for everything look somehow incomplete, too simple, or lazy.
