I`m not a pro painter but with T110 I have glass finish with every cheap HS clear with no reducer. first light coat then second fully immersed coat with the gun very close to the panel. zero orange peel , this gun is amazing. first time I use it the job came out like glass , like a flowcoat. I mainly use Quickline (PPG brand) 7500 HS clear. maybe with top quality clears same finish can be achieved with lighter coats.
nice job you should be proud any chance of seeing your paint booth setup it looks a bit home made and i am looking for ideas to build my own keep up the good work.
May I ask for occasional but quality use would you go gti pro lite or flg5? Also I am not happy with the quality of paint from my factors, what is a really premium brand in the uk for 2k base/clear please? Thanks!
Ok excellent will stick with what you just said as your work is out standing and I'm a beginner, so do you apply 2 wet coats for a great finish or 1 wet then 1 dust thanks
Bro I just came accross this video and I don't want to ask too many questions and sound redundant but you're so good with that gun ...and one of thr persons I see that hardly get over spray for base coat and thats amazing like wow if I may ask one tho is it the same almost 2 bar for that basecoat ? Cause man you're good !
Nice work, the more you use the pro lite the more you will love it, they really are a great gun for the money. Looking forward to your next vid. Cheers
Devilbiss teamed up with all the yacht paint companys and came up with the Devilbiss Cdt gun, I use it for big jobs on topsides has a 80cm fan shes a honey mate!! Doing a 30metre princess at the moment whole boat going awlcraft 2000 satin LSA black, the deck, flybridge, hardtop, aft cockpit hull, bathing platform all inside the lockers too. Got 6 weeks :/
I've noticed that some of the gti prolite guns have writing just below where the paint cup screws on and some dont. Are they the same gun? I can't quite make out what the writing is.
Hi Tony's great vid and great work looks spot on, you said liquid glass has a long flash off, I'm sure I read there is no flash off with liquid glass or did I read wrong
+badboiwebman it does say as you state to not have a flash off , however I found if you do apply in this way then you will get solvent pop very easily and on one test it didn't dry as well either so leaving a flash off gave it for me a nicer finish great drying and also a faultless finish once dry
you know whats coming ....a comparison on the flg and the pro..would you say that the colourmix is a good clear for the pro ?,, If so, then the same could be said with the flg ?? I must admit the pro make the top coat look like glass.."" your new favorite gun "" ... Time will tell....cheers Tony
+Tosh twentythree (tosh 23) no problem mate and I can do a comparison on the two guns if you like but I can say that the prolite wins hands down for finish , but for price the flg is great both worth buying anyday of the week fella , and the colomix is just a cheap trade clear mate works with almost anything tbh coz it flashes off so fast you can throw it on like glass and not worry to much about runs because of that
thats great to hear because the colourmix is available at my local suppliers..Its got to be worth a try...As for the pro vs flg, you pay for what ya get I suppose ...cheers Tony, great vid as usual
Hi tony, thanks for the vids.. glass finish is what I'm looking for with my T110 cap and Ms Clear at 2 bar, full fluid and fan...you think to put more fluid with 1.4 tip would help better or at inverse with 1.2?
Alejandro Uresti Hinojosa that’s what we’re here for buddy I could make a video on how to shoot the flattest gun finish , but that would be a flow coat not a straight out the gun normal Finish and personally if I was going for glass fully flat finish I’d flow coat then wet flat and polish that like a mirror and there’s your perfect finish
@@TonysRefinishingTV that's the truth mate but customers mostly don't pay for it.. I was thinking 3 wet clear coats to get the best results without flow coating, cheap MS clear with T110 and 1.3 or 1.4..¿?.. Mostly I do fully resprays
@@TonysRefinishingTV thanks Tony ..it"ll be very interesting watching your methods to this glass finish from flow coating and stuff for those who want the real glass finish and pay 4it
Thanks Tony for all your efforts---really has helped me to become better in a much shorter time frame...
your welcome thankyou for watching
Glad you stayed in the trade I've learned from your videos thanks Tony.....
Thankyou

+badboiwebman I always apply two full wet coats the first is always slightly finer than the second wetter coat though

I love using my gti pro lite with my pressure pot. 0.85mm fluid tip, te20 air cap. Awlcraft 2000 clear she is a honey!!!!
They are a very nice gun for the money
@@TonysRefinishingTV ive spent £1200 for my set up, have you used the CDT range?
No I’ve never heard of cdt tbh mate

some are marked for base or clear on the gun some have no markings
kick ass job man. What kind of compressor you run?
+Adrian Rodriguez we run a 200lt compressor just for the booth airline and another for the workshop lines

honestly mate your never going to get a glass finish ie perfectly flat finish from the gun it can only be achieved by flat and polishing after paint
@@TonysRefinishingTV thanks 4 the real life advice.. yes, I agree
