My boyfriend is a piercer/tattoo artist and he actually got serious threats by partners and parents of clients, because he did intimate piercings/tattoos for them.
It's ridiculous, he's the same like those women in lingerie-stores who fit/measure clients and their breasts.
Just because he is a male and does a more controversial job it's suddenly the worst thing ever.
Piercer don't get off on doing piercings (at least professionals), they are just doing your job.
He always says with the amount of dicks, tits and vags (and other body parts obv) he pierces/tattoos every day/week/month the body parts are a blurr and unnecassary anyway, the only thing that matters is the piercing/wound/scar/tattoo/etc and if the client is happy, safe and healthy.
Wish. Some partners and parents really have the audacity to threaten the artist/piercer? Wow. The client is the one who obviously paid money for the piercing/tattoo and wasn't forced to get anything they didn't want done so it's ridiculous and upsetting to hear that your boyfriend has been getting those kinds of threats. He's a professional and it's the same thing with a doctor or any other profession. People these days.
There's a stigma that the body mod industry isn't professional but I've never felt uncomfortable
At 17 I discussed a frenum piercing with a female piercer and that wasn't uncomfortable to talk about because it's her job she wasn't grooming me to molest me
I mean it's a body mod business they probably see as many sexual areas as a porn studio daily only difference is they're focused on not harming you

Here piercers usually never take pictures of piercings, maybe if it's some unusual things like suspension, corset or implants, yes, but just a normal vch-piercing? No.
I literally never hear from anyone that their piercers wanted to take a picture of their piercing, lol.
And like I said, focusing on professional piercers here.
In Germany it is against the law to take pictures of someone without consent and just generally take take pictures of naked people and/or their genitals if they are under 18, so no professional here would do it.
If you go to the dollar store version of a tattoo shop, then yeah, maybe that could happen.
I know that there are quite a few (but still a low rate percent-wise) unprofessional and shady piercing/tattoo-shops, and that's a shame.
No one should feel violated while/during/after getting a piercing/tattoo, and it's a shame that those people cast such a dark shadow on the community.
So no, I do not fail to realize that that's a thing, because I was talking about professionals doing their job and not creeps who are being assholes. :)

That's like getting mad at your gf/wife for going to the gynecologist or something, lol. Yeah, unless you have nipples in the shape of unicorns or something, your piercer is not going to be impressed, shocked or generally give a shit, lol.
I got my nipple pierced by a male and I felt totally and 100% comfortable (I don't really think boobs are a big deal anyway and am a #freethenipple kind of person already, so I wouldn't have really been uncomfortable to begin with, but still), and my piercer was absolutely professional and didn't make me feel uncomfortable in any way. In fact, he made me feel very relaxed and like I didn't even have my top off. It was more like being at the doctor than just some random guy getting up close and personal with my tits, lol.

Why is asking about pricing rude? Jw bc I don't see the difference between someone asking how much you paid and someone coming into the shop and asking how much it would be to get the piercing bc the pricing doesn't vary person to person. Idk I just don't see it as a very personal/private thing if that makes sense
Agreed. I don't think anyone is gonna judge you based on how much you paid.
***** Its not that it makes the client feel bad about how much they paid, its more about courtesy to the piercer/Artist, for instance, when i got my tattoo i only paid about $200 for it, and it was a custom drawn arm piece that would've usually ran about $300-400. if you're curious about pricing go to a few different artists/piercers, and see what the places around you charge, just remember that you should always go for quality over quantity.

For me I was really shy about taking off my shirt but it was fine. The second one for me actually did hurt more than the first one and I kinda screamed (quietly) Also they really helped me be more body positive. I've had mine for a week now. The soreness stopped after three days and now they feel back to normal. When cleaning them they can be a bit tender but all in all they are healing fine and if you want them you should 100% just get them!!! Piercings are like shots or getting blood drawn. They aren't pleasant in the moment but once its done, its done.

a year later and I got them done! One of the best decisions I ever made! It was like a 3/10 for one and then a 5/10 for the other! I love them so much
Just got mine done the other day :D clamps didn't hurt, just felt like a pressure, the left one was the first one she did. It was quick and simple, didn't hurt like I thought. The right one was the one that felt like a burn after she pierced it. But I still love them cx I did tons of research and watched people get them done. Note that everyone has a different pain tolerance and these things may hurt or not hurt differently. Also note, these are my first piercings and I'm very cautious with them. :D

I got my nipples done around 3 months ago and I've had 0 problems with them. They look great, feel great, and they healed almost instantly. They're the easiest piercings to heal, in my opinion -- I've had more trouble with my ear lobes and nose!

When I was a Sophomore in High School, I wanted my left nipple pierced and that only, people ask me "Why only one?" and I really don't know why, so my first question is, is it normal to have only one done and not the other? Also my other question is, even though I grew out of that stage but kind of still want that piercing, is it totally worth getting? Sorry to bombard you with questions, but I really want to know.

Getting my nippley nips done was the most painful, yet enjoyable piercing experience. I went to a really professional shop and the piercer basically drew a grid across my boobs to make sure everything was perfectly even.
That only part of it I hated was that she pieced one side, stopped, lined up again, then pushed through the other side. WOOO that hurt. But my pain response now is to cuss and laugh xD Most of the piercing fear is in your head and the actual experience is cake

I got my nipples pierced at 1st Amendment in Temecula by this guy named Dave (he doesn't work there anymore) and he totally messed up on my left nipple by through my areola. I couldn't go through the entire day with that because it hurt so badly, so I automatically took it out. My right nipple piercing that I kept was completely perfect but the barbell material started to reject from my body a few months later and ended up taking that out too. I've had multiple piercings and know how to care for them but I figured that sometimes they aren't meant to be.

I used to have my nipples pierced and I absolutely loved them! Made me feel so beautiful, especially paired with my naval piercing - I just thought they were all perfect together. Unfortunately my body rejected the first pair - not the piercer's doing she's a great woman and piercer. I got them out, let them heal, then tried again with another studio who were amazing (first lady had moved elsewhere), but they still rejected :( sometimes it's just not meant to be, huh? That was about 3 years ago. I miss them like crazy.

Getting mine does was the most painful experience ever...and it the actual act of taking my shirt off was the most awkward part. He also didnt use a clamp, and I was laying down. So worth it though. :)

Catching a nipple piercing hurts like a mother fucker.. And it'll be sore for days. I caught mine a couple of times after just getting it and the pain.. I now have a fear or anything going near my nipple xP
This is sort of awkward to explain .. I really want to get mine pierced but my nipples are like..barely ever like.. erect ? Idk unless they get rubbed like really hard an shit xD so idk if it's possible..most of the time they just sorta blend into the skin lol

You can still get them pierced, people get their inverted nipples pierced and it can sometimes make them come out more and look normal. So i think youll be okay with getting them pierced. Plus if you go to a really good piercing place they will know what to do 😄

My nipples were inverted and I got them pierced for that exact reason! Just make sure to tell your piercer. I love mine and I'm so glad I got them! It made my confidence shoot up since I wasn't very confident about my chest.

For sure females are generally less painful, mostly because the actual nipple is larger... also clamps being more painful is the same way i choose to pierce people. They're more accurately pierced the stronger they are held and it also helps to prevent pain from the actual piercing....some piercers sorta just place the clamps which isn't that brilliant with most piercings.... either way... i pierce and i'm a guy... my nipples sucked... however almost every guy i pierce has said its 7 and MOST women say its 4. its anatomy ... good luck

My piercer had me lay down and put my hands under my butt. He said it was for his own safety because he’s been hit/grabbed before 😂. I was glad I was laying down because I almost passed out. But I’m extremely happy that I got them done

I had mine done at 18 in Atlanta @ KOLO which is a really nice professional shop. it was my least painful piercing (I have 16) but I just had to take them out at 25 years old since im getting ready to breast feed my first baby ^_____^ mine healed within like a week. they were so awesome, I hope to get them back one day.
a good message to everyone ---- please dont think you can pay just like $35 and think its ok. just like she said, defiantly do research on your piercer. I happily paid over $100 but I knew they were taking care of me.
The only thing my husband said about his complaint wise was that the needle got stuck halfway through. ;-; that was painful. Other than that it was a breeze!

I just got mine done for for the second time today. I now remember why I said I wouldn't ever repierce them if something happened lol. the actual piercing wasnt bad but larger breasts and the weight causes the tender sore pain that sucks. I love them but I don't like passing out in the shower because I try to clean them XD. going to have to get used to this again. great video!

I had my tongue pierced and it didn't hurt at all. It was just a really strange indescribable feeling having that needle go through my tongue. It only burned a little after for a few days. I think I will get me a pair of cat teeth though. Those are cool.

i found healing fine but the actual piercing i found the tightening round the tube before that bar exchange was the worst i had both pierced then had the bars put in so i couldnt chicken out half way though that was probably the worst mistake every it gave them a chance to swell just wondering if you may of had a similar sensation curious i guess xx
