    I wonder if it feels good to the fish to get a little head scratch with the cotton swab. It feels good when I scratch my head sometimes. :-)

    Omg thank you! My new fish are having their wen growth spurts and getting the white pimples, so I've been messing around with the water quality. I have a heavily planted tank with strong aeration/oxygenation and 0 ppm ammonia, 0 ppm nitrites, and 0 ppm nitrates. What is your water's typical pH and carbonate hardness?
    Do you recommend 1% solution for methylene blue?

    • @goldfish-zhaosfancies1230
      @goldfish-zhaosfancies1230  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are very welcome, Asiya. The white pimples are not headgrowth development, but rather bacteria accumulation in the crevices due to lower water quality. There are many other parameters than ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate that contribute to water quality. Goldfish can adapt to a wide range of pH. May I ask if you treat your water outside of your tank? Then fully age your water with strong aeration for several days before pumping it into your tank?
      Yes, 1 % methylene blue would be fine.

      Drain the water, add new water. And use Methylane blue and add airstone. The eggs shouldn't fall I hope. Mine were sticky.

    Did you ever make the video saying why they get white fungus and how to prevent?

    • @goldfish-zhaosfancies1230
      @goldfish-zhaosfancies1230  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Subpar water quality, low temperature (below 60F), or not aged water can cause it. In a hobbyist home, it is usually caused by not aging water and pumping tap water with deadly chemicals straight into one’s aquarium. It burns and irritates the fish and cause fungus growth. Water needs to be treated first then aged to yield stable parameters before use. Otherwise, it is very harmful and hurtful to the fish. Fish end up with suffering to external skin and internal organs and lead to many illnesses such as fungus, bloat, dropsy, fins burns and many others.

    Hello Zhao. Is there a way I can connect with you? I need help with my fish fungus. She is a gold oranda with an outbreak of fungus on her head only. I put her in methylene blue as per instructions from local aquarium shop, however her outbreak is worse. I don’t know if this is normal. When I try to remove with the cotton top, a lot comes off ( like in this video). How can I cure it? Thank you!

    Hey Bo, where should I get nitrofurazone from? I saw some on Amazon but it didn’t say anything about being use for goldfish.

    • @goldfish-zhaosfancies1230
      @goldfish-zhaosfancies1230  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nitrofurazone is not exclusively for fish. It could be used on many living beings.

    what food do you feed your goldfish everyday?

  • @ColossalSwordFormAndTechnique
    @ColossalSwordFormAndTechnique 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Oh. I thought that was just something natural that happens, when their wen grows? My male and female blue phoenix tail Lionheads I bought from you have these spots too, but I think they go away on their own no? 🤔🤨

    • @goldfish-zhaosfancies1230
      @goldfish-zhaosfancies1230  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So sorry. The fungus will have to be cleaned or it could cause infection.

    • @heatherdix778
      @heatherdix778 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have seen this on so many pages too! It is never wen growth! Sometimes it will heal on its own but i think what causes it is when debris gets trapped in the folds of the wen. Always keep a close watch on it i unfortunately had a disaster from listening to other people just say what they saw someone else said...lol!
      Long story short....treat it like the video above...trust me don't let it go too far!

    • @ColossalSwordFormAndTechnique
      @ColossalSwordFormAndTechnique 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@goldfish-zhaosfancies1230 I did this, but it still remains lol. I used the q-tip and methylene blue wen cleaning method too lol. But yeah, it seemed to have helped a little bit. I noticed some white stuff came off their wens.

      Then you will need to improve your water quality as that is the main cause.
