  • On this hunt I hit one of my favorite 1800's parks using the Minelab 15" coil on the Equinox. The Equinox never fails to impress me no matter what coil is under it! Check out the awesome finds and watch the live digs! Thanks for watching!

    That's a great coil. I use it on beaches and the parks after the 11. Take care.

    Nice haul! Makes me wonder if I should get a 15" coil for my 800. I love the 6" coil for trashy sites, but additional depth is bound to pull out the old stuff.

      It is definitely a good tool to have. I have found some really good stuff with it in areas I hunted well with smaller coils. Sometimes I think it's just the better ID at those mid depth and deeper targets that helps. It just hits those targets harder than smaller coils so you don't miss then. It also separates really well for its size. I have found good targets in very trashy parks more than once with this coil.

      @@detectorben8007 FYI, I have found sunglasses at 15-18" deep on the salt sand beach with the 15" coil. Blew my mind!

    Nice hunt. Tried the 15” coil at several parks before. Did not care to hunt with such a large coil. Well done.

      Yeah it's tough to swing for more than a few hours without a harness. But it is nice to have for really old sites with deeper targets. I tend to run it over areas I have hunted well with smaller coils and usually find some good leftovers.

    Where your detecting is it ok not to use a drop towel. Just wondering for I see too many people not properly covering their holes up

    • @detectorben8007
      @detectorben8007  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes at this site it is not needed. I always fill holes and leave site in good shape. Been hunting this same park for 8 years and talk to the maintenance crew often. I do run into new detectorists here often who don't pick up their trash or fill holes at all. I always try to educate them when I can and I always fill their holes when I come across them. In yards and manicured lawns I always use a drop cloth.

    Good stuff! Have you given up using the CoilTek 10x5?

    • @detectorben8007
      @detectorben8007  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! No I am loving the 10x5 coil and still plan to use it a lot. I just wanted to try something different in this area of park.
