Thanks for the great video review on the Taurus TH10! That was some mighty fine shooting. With you leading off every grouping with double action and shooting those great groups with a TH10, I would imagine you shooting with a TH9 there wouldn't be but one hole through each bullseye you shoot a three shot group at. I have a TH9 and it was very accurate right out of the nice hard case it came in. When I bought mine Taurus only made it in TH9 and TH40. I wouldn't mind having a TH10 or TH45 also. My new G20 has been a jamming nightmare. Found a company out of Greece that makes a 3 stage, adjustable recoil springs for the Gen 5s, up to 28 lbs. W the gen 4s it takes a 22-24 lb spring to properly handle the hot bear loads dependably. To make matters worse, I checked my factory spring. It failed to go back into full battery 1 out of 3 tries. Explained the jamming problem. Cheaply made & poor Q.C.
Bought 3 of them. Sent one back to taurus for repairs twice. Ftf and jamming issues. Sold that one. Second one after 400 rounds of various ammo - and a lot of dollars wasted- constant failure to feed or jamming issues- got rid of that one also. Third th10 I polished the feed ramp- a lot- and I can generally get through a full mag without jamming. Generally.
Why go cheap (and yes, Taurus are cheaply made firearms) and look at saving $200 or $300 by buying this when you'd easily spend $2000 or $3000 a year on ammunition? It's nothing more than a range toy. Go buy a Glock, an M&P, a Sig, or even a Tanfo.

what great a good 10mm that does not cost an arm and a leg an affordable 10mm that will put a hurting on the more exspensive offerings taurus problems decades ago were from trying to rush in to polymer market and they found out the hard way rushing is not a good idea
Wow! Fantastic marksmanship and a stellar review. I own a ton of mid-range level pistols including the Taurus G2C which I always liked. However as a SA/DA fan (I own a CZ P-07 that I love) I've been very keen on buying either a TH9 or this new TH10. Some people like to have only pistols in one or two calibers. But I like as many calibers as possible as during an ammo crisis, it's nice to still be able to find at least one caliber on the shelves. I'm also keen on getting 10mm because I see it as being similar in terminal ballistics to .357 magnum but in a semi-auto. The only thing that might concern me is reliability due to the heavy recoil. Taurus semi-auto pistols are not famous for long-term reliability. I really hope that someone is wealthy enough and brave enough to do a 1,000 round test of the TH10.
As always, enjoyed this one. I’ve been debating on a 10mm platform that’s affordable. This is a strong contender. I couldn’t help but notice the finish loss after the spinner test, but it’s a tool, not a fashion accessory! 😂 No deal breaker. Great review GB!!
10mm is only affordable if you either never buy ammunition, or you reload and never buy fresh brass, or if you move your budget priority from food to ammunition😁 Frankly, for most shooters, buying a 10mm handgun is akin to purchasing a full-sized 4WD pickup and living in suburbia Ohio. Kind of the "fun, yes, but why?"
JD, 10mm only takes 1 shot to stop anyone as vs 3 from a 9mm. Think of it as a fat 357. Granted, the velocity is a bit slower but the impact is higher. Hotter than a 45 w deeper penetration. I have several & once I got used to the recoil my 9s are in permanent hibernation. 1 G20 gen 5 which really sucks, several XDM-Es + 1 Taurus TH10. DO spend a lot of time reloading but love the hot, grizzly strength 200-220 grain WFNHC bear thumpers.
10-4, I have the same model Glock and for some reason stay away from the 5th generation and, more or less just for the fun of it, I added a Hi Point which I haven't tried yet. Take care and shoot safely!
My first pleasant surprise with a Taurus was a Taurus PT-111 Millennium G2 in 9mm, followed shortly thereafter with a PT-140 G2c in .40 S&W. The .40, in particular, has to be considered my go-to CC gun: quick, soft recoil - especially for a gun so compact - accurate; pretty much anything you'd like out of a gun the size and weight of a Walther PPK/S but firing a .40 S&W instead of a .380 ACP. The TH10 would be an interesting addition if it weren't for the idiots in our state house who think that the universe would explode with the 11th round out of a magazine. I did use my G2c to help a new LEO recruit who was having trouble passing his accuracy qualification tests - turns out, thanks to a too-loose grip. The Taurus's excellent stippling on the grip made it possible for him to keep - as you mentioned - grip position shot-to-shot, and his confidence and ability improved instantly, from all over the paper to erasing the black. (Young guy - good eyes.) I find that to be the case as well - very controllable. Taurus has made a HUGE step up in the last decade in terms of quality and value, and anyone dissing them based on decades-old anecdotes is missing out.
I mean, 22 yards, first time handling a 10 in a smaller framed weapon, no issue with barely missing the fairly small target. Thanks for the look at the tool.
Some guys were born to present videos, others weren't. You present it in a calm and safe manner, as befits a gun owner. At the same time, you are effective in presenting and sharing information, as befits a prepared citizen. As always, straight to the target! 🎯😄 Thanks for the video! Regarding the gun, another good acquisition in terms of cost-effectiveness. As Mr. Spock will say in the future, saluting capitalism and free enterprise: "Infinite diversity, in infinite combinations!" 🖖 👍👍👍
I have 5 T. pistols. They all work! If someone was strapped for cash and needed a pistol for what ever reason they could do worse. You get a decent pistol for the price with Taurus. It's like the Kia of gun brands. I actually like how the G3c shoots. That 10mm looks like a larger size g3.
If you're so strapped for cash that you'll buy a Taurus, why would you buy a firearm in a caliber that costs an absolute minimum of .75 per bang? Or just a future safe queen that you can't afford to train with?
I don’t own any Taurus pistols, not that I’m against budget options I just have never had the opportunity to purchase one. I own a Canik and a Styer C9A2 and beyond that everything else is mid to to tier but I have to say that this looks like a fairly soft shooter for a ten mill polymer framed hammer fired pistol, pretty damn accurate as well. My understanding is Taurus has some issues up until about 5 years ago when they did a rebrand and really started to focus more on quality of wood appear because the G3C, the Thunder series and the TX4 have all gotten pretty good reviews and folks seem to really like them and appreciate the value you get for your $. Great video as always Graham, appreciate all the work you put into these reviews.
They've refocused their branding and promotions, not their manufacture. Just as an aside, consider this. The LE/military markets are incredibly lucrative and profitable. Do your very best and try to find even one reputable North American LE agency that has received a Taurus to test in a response to a bid invitation or any military outside of South America that has a contract with Taurus. Just like Mondays are right after Sundays, Taurus is still Taurus. BTW, he was also primarily using Federal American Eagle 10mm. That loading is less energy than many duty load .40S&W.
Taurus changed ownership in 2014. CBC, a company in the civilian and military ammunition sector (manufacturer of Magtech ammunition for example), took over majority ownership that year. Since then, we have witnessed a change for the much better." 👍
JD, Your full of crap. Taurus completely revamped their entire operation. Fired all their old designers & rehired the best from other major mfgrs. Do some research bud. The worst 10mm plastics in today's market is the Glocks. O.K. w SAMMI specs ammo but really sucks w full power loads. On that note thou, the Taurus instructions says to stay within SAMMI specs which WOULD exclude the really hot bear loads but mine handles them too just fine. The gen 5 G20 is a jamomatic & unlike the gen 4s cannot be rebuilt for hot, full power loads. Works great w the weaker SAMMI specs ammos but hates the bear loads. The BEST all around, 100% reliable plastic 10mm I've found is the XDM-Es. They always work w everything flawlessly.
That Federal 180 grain 10mm probably is comfortable because it's super underloaded. Unfortunately, a lot of factory 10mm is wildly underloaded. Buffalo Bore is easily the best. Underwood used to be in the same tier, but their 10mm loads have been slowed down over the past year or two. 180 grain 10mm should at least be over 1300 FPS. I've seen that Federal stuff not break 1050.
I would like these in a 5” long barrel version. I don’t know if these will go 100k rounds. Many buy a new toy often and never put many rounds thru a gun. So I don’t think it is an issue.
I don't have any problem with having to depend on a Taurus pistol in a life or death situation, I've seen a lot of videos with big name pistols giving more problems.
Thank you, when the original main camera started to get old I got a new one with the help of our Patrons. With the new one as a main camera, but old one still functional it became a "target camera" enabling the dual view.
man I want the th40 but looks like they're not coming back I waited too long should pulled trigger in oct was trying to wait till January too late now well my gen 3 fs Glock 40 will have no buddy
Graham, an excellent review, probably the most accurate pistol I've seen you review. You can tell you are holding tightly as the finger's on your support hand were blanching. Like when I shoot a 44 magnum. I would like one of those as a carry gun, but not as a range toy.😊
Good luck with that. As a rural Alaskan outdoors enthusiast and someone who has shot bear. I would NEVER choose this as a sidearm. I've owned and worked on too many Taurus firearms to ever consider one as a lifesaving tool. Absolutely never. It only takes once.
How good is the Chamber Support ? I have seen a bit of variation in FN 510s...some very good and others not good at all. Some folks have been having issues like many Glocks have had.
Looks like a solid shooter even for a Taurus lol. How's the grip size? I find the glock 10mms to be slightly oversized for my hands, the XDM was nice but slippery when sweaty.
I put grip tape on mine. Works great. Got 1 set of premade at a ridiculously high price. Wised up & bought a 50' roll of skateboard traction tape for $25 on Amazon & started making my own. Basically 2 long ovals, one longer one for the back & a shorter one for the front & good to go for the rest of my life. Even gave 5 ft strips to friends at the range & they have a lifetime supply too. Added 2 inch by 1/2 inch strips to the slide grips too. They're really nice. Used the scraps to make index pads.
I think I'd prefer the 45 version. I'm enjoying your review of this though. You just said as Im writing you have a video of the TH45 so i'll search for that.
Great shooting. I have a quick question. I have seen other Taurus TH10 reviews and videos where more than one presenter had issues with the mag released accidently while shooting. The issue was blamed on the mag release button being placed in an awkward position. You didn't mention anything about that issue, so I was wondering if you had run into that problem.
The only good thing I can say about Taurus is that if you have to work on them (which is usually better than dealing with Taurus service) at least they're cheap enough to throw away if you fail. Taurus has provided me more entertainment in my workshop than at the range. I have had to work on every single Taurus I've ever owned and just pray you never have to deal with their customer service.
The best thing I can say about Taurus is that if you like to tinker, if you run them hard they give you lots of time in the workshop...and if you can't repair Taurus manufacturing they're cheap enough to throw away.
Good ergonomics, great features, and in a proper caliber. I would rush out and add yet another 10mm to my collection if it weren't for one thing. Taurus. This is just a 45ACP with a 10mm barrel and extractor. If you're a less than 6k/rds per year shooter and you don't live in bear country, and you prefer to save $300 instead of your life, go for it; buy a cheap sidearm. Consider this. You will be spending anywhere from .60/rd to $1.50/rd for 10mm ammunition. If you actually train with it, every training session, every single one of them, is a minimum $100. Absolute minimum. With the price of 10mm, why would you pinch pennies on the initial outlay? Seriously, you're talking $2000 to $3000 every year for ammunition Absolute Minimum and you want to save $200 or $300 on the pistol??? If you want these features, look at Tanfoglio. You will spend a little more, but you will have a better made gun. By the way, American Eagle 10mm has less energy than some duty .40s&w rounds. A better training alternative is S&B or even Blazer; more economically priced than the Federal and somewhat warmer than the AE. AE is pretty much a ripoff. I admit, I may actually purchase one of these (doubt it, but you never know) but in no uncertain terms will I choose to take this into my Alaska backyard before I take one of my Glocks, M&Ps, Sigs, or even Tanfos. Nothing more than a range toy. Never, absolutely never ever, into the bush with this. Nope, no way, no how, bears don't wait before they eat...
@@GBGunsyeah, that is a very good point and that is how I approach recreational firearms. I expect to tinker with them and I enjoy some just for that reason. The thing is, I like the odds to be in my favor if it's a serious firearm. As a hobby I take castings of brown bear prints. I usually have a 12ga slung on me, but I also have a sidearm on me. Yes, a strange choice for entertainment. I've subjected my Glocks to years of use and abuse, they work. 100%. So far so good with M&P10 and the XTen also, just not near as much. It just makes no sense to me why anyone would look at budget first when choosing a working man's gun. Sort of like a carpenter choosing a Ryobi over a Dewalt. This gun has fantastic features, I just wish it were made by just about anyone else. Someone like CZ, HK, Sig (almost there with the 220), Beretta, etc.
@@bryanmackey1690I've put 8k to 9k rounds through my M&P10s, the only issue I've had was one bad magazine out of twelve. Which was odd, that was the very first issue I've ever had with otherwise excellent S&W mags for any model. It can happen though, anything touched by man is always less than perfect. I've actually had an HK that wasn't initially reliable However, to not disparage your comment or abilities or suggest anything else untoward, those who don't shoot lots of 10mm do seem to limpwrist an awful lot, even if they don't do that with other firearms.
@@JD-tn5lzidk it was always round 14 on my m&p. Jammed into the barrel hood. Changed mag springs, recoils springs, extractor, and finally new mags. Never fixed it. I traded it in. I love S&W in general and it sucks mine was that way, I hope to get another at some point and have better luck. But I’m a sucker for a hammer fired pistol, so Taurus TH10 is getting run ATM.

Runs anything and everything from the hottest to crap loaded to 40 cal specs. Absolute great 10 mm gun. Its a complete tank.
what great a good 10mm that does not cost an arm and a leg an affordable 10mm that will put a hurting on the more exspensive offerings taurus problems decades ago were from trying to rush in to polymer market and they found out the hard way rushing is not a good idea
10mm is only affordable if you either never buy ammunition, or you reload and never buy fresh brass, or if you move your budget priority from food to ammunition😁
Frankly, for most shooters, buying a 10mm handgun is akin to purchasing a full-sized 4WD pickup and living in suburbia Ohio.
Thank$ for your nice info-clip and yes Sir, you're one heck of a good shooter too!
Thank you
10-4, I have the same model Glock and for some reason stay away from the 5th generation and, more or less just for the fun of it, I added a Hi Point which I haven't tried yet.
Take care and shoot safely!
I am sorry for confusing two clips I have watched in a row and I am considering for
some time to add a Taurus since I really do like their products.
Taurus th series is one of the best values covering almost every caliber except 357 sig .
I love the TH45ACP 👌🏾👌🏾...Accurate As Hell👏🏾👏🏾
(Young guy - good eyes.)
I find that to be the case as well - very controllable. Taurus has made a HUGE step up in the last decade in terms of quality and value, and anyone dissing them based on decades-old anecdotes is missing out.
Great video! Thank u for looking out for us, love the channel, me an my wife watch the videos over an over 😂, stay blessed 🙌 😇 🙏
Thank you
The th series are very good guns period.
I mean, 22 yards, first time handling a 10 in a smaller framed weapon, no issue with barely missing the fairly small target. Thanks for the look at the tool.
Fortunately shooting fundamentals, plus years of shooting a different gun every week, has treated me well.
I have two Taurus pistols and they work
i have a Th40c and im a big fan. I'd like to get this someday. need more DA/SA 10mm
Thank you for the compliment!
Awesome review! Very well explained and very thorough. Great shooting as well of course👍👊
Thank you
5:41 NICE 2ND SHOT!!!
The th series are great shooters
Great video, with your humor. Thank you again for sharing your videos. I like the beautiful scenery at that range.
You and Teya have a great weekend 🙏
I have 5 T.
I have a G2C that I immediately upgraded with lakeside parts and it's perfect and almost zero recoil
And if you can afford 110k of ammo you can afford to replace what wears out.
That thing is a shooter, it’s shooting ever gr good
Amazing marksmanship. You are not new at this and that pistol is pretty damn accurate. I wish mine behaved that well...
Thank you
I don't have any problem with having to depend on a Taurus pistol in a life or death situation, I've seen a lot of videos with big name pistols giving more problems.
Had mine for like 2 weeks and still haven’t shot it yet 🤦🏻♂️but now seeing this I need to hit the range .
nice! Tell us your impressions on the gun! 👍
Good Information Sir
Great video format, with both views at all time.
Thank You, for Your work ...
+1
You should watch him shoot his grand powers
Good luck with that. As a rural Alaskan outdoors enthusiast and someone who has shot bear. I would NEVER choose this as a sidearm.
I've owned and worked on too many Taurus firearms to ever consider one as a lifesaving tool. Absolutely never. It only takes once.
Just purchased mine today. Tomorrow? Range day!
How good is the Chamber Support ?
I have seen a bit of variation in FN 510s...some very good and others not good at all. Some folks have been having issues like many Glocks have had.
Chamber support is shown in the tabletop video.
@@GBGuns Excellent, thank you
Looks like a solid shooter even for a Taurus lol.
And full reviews are on GBGUNSDEPOT.COM
Hey great video, can you review the EAA Girsan 2311 5in 10mm?
30 consecutive shots into a 2 inch circle...show off.
I have not. I think what you were seeing was the shooter not adapting his grip to the gun.
Hello Graham, I have a question but not about the Taurus. What model Grand Power Mags fit the Girsan MC9. thanks Dwight
I don't remember that, but all the Grand Power 9mm mags are the same bodies, just different lengths
wow
I've seen two other videos with this gun jamming , did u have any problems like that ??
None. Either I got lucky or the other shooters don't have decent form
If you want 10mm, try the Glock G40 Gen4 with 6.02" barrel for comfort and accuracy. 👍
Thanks GB. Great job. Good info. God bless.
LETS GO BRANDON
I want it!!
The only thing I'm hearing is that this pistol doesn't like hard cast big loads. 200gr+
Your trigger finger is your....pinky?
This one is a keeper. Don't sell it.
Is that the Albany Range?
No, near Dundee
You shoot with your pinky??? You kept calling your trigger finger "pinky"
🔥🗡💀🔫💀🗡🔥
Hey GB, I only hate the Taurus guns that have failed me which is most of them
The only good thing I can say about Taurus is that if you have to work on them (which is usually better than dealing with Taurus service) at least they're cheap enough to throw away if you fail.
Taurus has provided me more entertainment in my workshop than at the range.
I have had to work on every single Taurus I've ever owned and just pray you never have to deal with their customer service.
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🔫🔫💯💯💯☕️☕️
The best thing I can say about Taurus is that if you like to tinker, if you run them hard they give you lots of time in the workshop...and if you can't repair Taurus manufacturing they're cheap enough to throw away.
Gun snob has joined chat.
Bro, what's wrong with that thumb
Get a better spinner stand
Thats the first time ive not seen it fall over.
You are making enough cash
Be more professional
I think you have me mistaken for one of the Leviathan faces for rent. This channel barely sustains itself.
If you can afford 6k of 10mm a year you can likely afford to replace the gun or any parts as needed.
Idk this Taurus looks to run better than my S&W 10mm did. I spent more time working on it than shooting(,er I. mean malfunction clearing😮
I've actually had an HK that wasn't initially reliable
However, to not disparage your comment or abilities or suggest anything else untoward, those who don't shoot lots of 10mm do seem to limpwrist an awful lot, even if they don't do that with other firearms.
Thanks for your nice info-clip and yes, you're a pretty darn good shooter too!
