The dating “scandal” with beakhyun really messed up everyone. Like its not even a cultural difference. Its just there some of these “fans” that cant understand these idols are people. I feel like anyone who dissed them are crazy and arent true fans. Anyways, I hope exo and all these idols wont face the amount of hate beak and taeyeon did
Personally I'm glad Kris left, he did what was best for him. But I'm not okay with the WAY he handled it-like leaving without telling his members 10 days before their concert...but you never know maybe there was something else going on behind the scenes that made him unable to say anything... That's the thing, SM uses EXO against us, they know we won't stop supporting them so we have no choice but to wait until they hopefully leave the company. Also can I just say. THIS is why we get mad when people say EXO has 'big 3 privilege'. but tbh EXOLs are super determined, we'll always support them no matter what.

I agree. I feel like the music Kris really likes and wanted to do was sooooo far from EXO’s. So I’m glad now that he got to do what he wanted and thought was best for him, but when he did it... I was quite disappointed in how it happened. Mainly because it was obvious the members got hurt a lot because they were blindsided. From what i remember, people were also saying that the reason they had a 1yr hiatus at the start was because kris went to canada and didn’t want to go back. I think he realized early on that it wasn’t for him. I get that it was hard to bring up though, but the members who left after learned from that and did it in a better way. I do think all is well now. The members really do not seem like unforgiving people. I think they know holding bad feelings for a long time ultimately hurts them more.

Kris, Luhan, and Tao lost their lawsuits to SM, so they are still technically under SM ent until 2022 (i think). they have been allowed to venture out and do other things in China (acting and music) but a % of their income still goes to SM.
Not really. Kris and Luhan came to an agreement with SM, their contracts are only valid for promotions in Korea and Japan now, that's why they don't promote there, so SM doesn't get the money. Tao's lawsuit is still not settled because everytime a korean court is giving right to SM a chinese court is giving right to Tao in the same question.
EXO-Ls hates SM but we can't do anything about it because they still have EXO-and we love EXO so much. It just hurts because EXO is SM's biggest contributor yet they still treat them poorly. EXO-Ls always feels neglected with EXO contents because they're not giving them any. But we swallowed everything just for the sake of EXO. -right now I am just so glad that EXO is finally having some guts to publicly talk about how SM treats them. If you could watch their recent guesting with Radio Star, Suho spilling some tea about SM.
Not only was it hard when Kris left, but he was the leader of EXO-M and for the leader not to at least talk to his members and let them know what he was thinking and why he felt the need to leave etc. really made them feel like they were blindsided. If you notice in one of the interviews Tao even says something along the lines "If anyone is having a hard time and needs to talk I am always hear to listen." and yet Kris, the leader, decided to leave the group without even saying anything to anyone. The guy that all the EXO-M members were supposed to look up to and depend on to show them direction within the group was the one that left them, which made them feel sort of lost. Plus, as the overall leader, Suho had made the vow that EXO would always be one and he felt responsible for the whole group, so when the members started leaving it really made him feel like he let everyone down as well.
As an old EXO-L, I witnessed what happened in the past. And now, EXO as you can see after the mistreatment, they really voice out and complain and never threatened at all. ❤ suho our leader is the best❤
Like you said, there are two sides to it, and we will never know the whole story. For many people, I think Luhan's departure from Exo was the cleanest. Like the video said, the members were caught off guard by Kris' departure which can be seen by statements made by the other members.
Suho told Osen, the media outlet, "All the members had a conversation. We don't understand Kris' actions at all. Everyone was caught off-guard and has mixed feelings. I think Kris' actions are irresponsible and show that he's not thinking about Exo at all. Our members and agency have no issues. What Kris needs to do right now is take back the lawsuit and apologize to the members."
Sehun posted a question mark on his Instagram, and it had the caption "..." after the news of Kris' departure, so people speculate it's about that. With Exo's logo, Chanyeol posted on Instagram with this caption: "reward virtue/good and punish the bad/evil." People also speculate that it's about that.
Tao was the closest to Kris, and he decided to write this on Instagram: "The road is long, and no one can decide where you want to go. The public will always be left in the dark, but it might be that the public will side with who is in the minority. However that's not the truth. Only those who have experienced the truth are able to understand, such as our 11 members and SM employees. To those on the outside, the right and wrong could be reflected oppositely. They probably won't know what it feels like to be betrayed by another person and then to have everyone side with the person who has betrayed us. Everyone can have their own perspectives and opinions. However, the truth is pointing to what is right and wrong. We have a clear conscience. We can't stop someone who wants to leave, and he kept this from us. As we were sweating and practicing hard for our concert, we learned that one wouldn't be coming back. We have to restart preparations for the concert as 11 members. So tired. EXO, let's love."
So, it was definitely messy although I do want to bring up this rumor that I have no idea if it's real or not. But, Kris might have already tried to leave Exo once before. Kris has stated in interviews that the reason he left is because he wanted freedom in his music, and it also has been stated possibly because of health issues. Finally, to address the lawsuit with Kris, SM actually filed a lawsuit against him in 2015. A settlement was finally reached in 2016 where he signed a new contract saying that he is able to engage in activities outside of Korea and China, but they will share a profit in these two countries I believe until 2022.
With Luhan leaving, it seemed to be on much better terms. He cited discrimination issues against the Chinese members and health problems. The Exo members seemed to be understanding. Lay posted on Weibo: "Goodbye, hyung. If we have the chance, let's share a stage together again. As a brother, I support your every decision, good luck." Also, Lay stated in 2015 that he was still in contact with Luhan. With his lawsuit, he settled in 2016 as well where he renewed his contract and is able to freely pursue a career in China.
With Tao, many people felt that he was a hypocrite for saying what he did to Kris. With all the ex-members, there are people who say that they left just because they wanted to pursue fame and money in China, or that injuries and mistreatment weren't the only reason but also money and fame. Some also don't believe that the injuries and mistreatment were as serious as it was portrayed by the ex-members. So, everything that happened with his injuries and his father posting on Weibo talking about how he wants his son to stop because his father hates seeing Tao hurt himself like this was messy. Finally, it was unclear for a long time whether Tao left the group or was just on hiatus. With the lawsuit, Tao continue to fight it, but his appeal was denied in 2018. So, the exclusive contract between SM and Tao is still valid.
Kris’s departure is the most irresponsible and ridiculous out of all of them.
He stated he left due to health issues, but he flew overseas to shoot his new movies after few days of his departure. And he had done recording the OST before even leaving.
He definitely planned it all along. Members were shocked but still needed to gather themselves and practice all new choreography of 12 members for their first concert in a week, a week...imagine the hardship they had
I mean sm still mistreats exo but now exo can complain and threaten theyll leave if they don't do better. SM still mistreats TVXQ and they're literally celebrating 16 years right now. 😔 SM needs to treat the money makers better.
and we can't also forget how they mistreate super junior and don't even help them in their promotions and everything that's why i was happy when super junior annonce that they have thei own label sj even if it is after SM but they are free for dowing their own staff and everything i really love all the groupes of SM they have one of the best vocals dancers and multitalented idol but i really hate SM as a company
At the end of the day, the music is great and the members are very very talented. That’s why they survived those hindrances.
Ok, that "idols can't date" is a culture thing. I grew up in Japan and they also have that culture, so I can "understand" more. In Japan is exactly the same thing. Since LONG time ago, people always said "idols should not date". And apparently that still continue.
So, basically, fans think that their idols are like their boy/girlfriend. Idols say they love the fans, say that the fans are everything for them and etc. And that caused this sick "culture" and created some sick fans too.
Actually, it's not just in Korea or Japan, you can see those crazy fans in West celebrities too, they found that their fave are dating and start to feel jealous to that celebrity or the partner (but it's VERY rare)
Even I grew up in Japan and it was "normal" there, I NEVER thought it was ok to think like that, but unfortunately it's a "culture".

I think they were sad becoz they were blindsided. Kris have the right to leave exo and sm, becoz he is looking out for himself, he was mistreated, bullied, sm rejected a lot pf projs for him and they suffered a lot of injuries and SM didnt do anything. But on the side of EXO, they were practicing for their first concert, they were set to do a lot of things, this is their dream coming true. They probably also got scared of their future.. they r still rookies, just 1 yr after their debut someone already left. Its crazy

It's been 2 years since EXO don't attend any award shows but they still win.
Yesterday 191230 at the EXplOration Dot concert Kai said “the year-end award shows, daesangs, gayos, it doesn’t matter. here we only have us. just us only. spending a good time with only us makes me the happiest.”

A repackaged album means its a followup/partner album to the previous album that was released a few months prior. As the name implies, repackaged albums are a cleaver way the Kpop industry has created to make even more money without a whole lot of extra effort by repackaging a previous product with new cover art and a new title. A repackaged album usually has all the same songs as the previous album, but it includes one or two new songs. For example, EXO's The War album, which has 9 songs has a repackaged album called War: The Power of Music (or The Power album for short) and it has the original 9 songs, plus 3 new songs, "Power" "Sweet Lies" and "Boomerang." So fans who bought the previous The War album also bought The Power album because of the new songs, so SM made a ton more money and had to put minimal effort into a new product.

EXO now just got to the point that they don't care anymore. At one of their latest interviews they talked about renewing their contract and that they talked among themselves that they are going to stay together as EXO with or without SM. They can open their own agency or stay we don't know but it was really their first time to open up about this topic and to talk about how careless SM is towards them. They are sick of how SM is treating them despite being their biggest money makers. Their bond is literally unbreakable. I am sure the time they all comeback together they're going to be stronger than ever like what Baekhyun said.
Hi!!! I usually don't comment on videos, but I felt the need to comment about Kris since he's still one of my biases lol, but Kris ultimately left because of mistreatment and symptoms of myocarditis. During EXO's hiatus in 2013, it's said to have to do with Kris. Apparently Kris had a schedule or special performance and it was suddenly cut. Kris asked the staff why and they forced him to leave EXO, causing their hiatus. He returned to Canada and was basically negotiating with SM in order to fight for his spot in EXO. He returned (for their Wolf and Growl comebacks) but kept being mistreated by the company and staff. He had been diagnosed with mycarditis in China in January 2014 and if not treated could lead to death. In the months leading up to his departure, from July 2013 to May 2014, he had IV drips in order for him to work long hours and be able to keep up with the rest of the members. When Luhan left, he said there was favoritism towards the Korean members and the Chinese members got the short end of the stick; Kris agreed. SM also denied acting and other job opportunities that were offered to Kris.
Also just a side note, the reason why most Korean idols don't leave SM or any of the big companies, is because they have the power to blacklist them from Korean tv, which will make it impossible to do promotions that will be televised towards the Korean public. This happened to JYJ for about 10-15 years when they left TVXQ and it also happened to Jessica from Girls' Generation when she left the company. Chinese idols, when they leave, can at least promote in their home country and don't necessarily have to worry about promoting in S.Korea.
Thank you for this comment. A lot of people really don't know what Kris had to go through. He hadn't been able to see his single mother for years, and was so badly harrassed by the company or a manager since he "came back" in 2013, that he developed more physical and mental issues.
SM are vindictive and petty as heck. They probably didn't tell the members some of what really happened and they love to spin the "public's" perspective as well. I just wish Kris would have been able to tell the members and that they were all together again. 😟🥺
people leaving companies often makes me think that fans cant always be sorry for the other members when it happens, for all we know, they lost a colleague and gained a life long friend.
Baekhyun - SNSD's Taeyeon (since both groups are legends.. And EXO were in their peak.. And how TY was 5 yrs older..many immature fans were triggered. Both are SM best vocalists and such a cutie theyre actually a good match)

Hi ! I just Wanted to say how exo became exo because i dont think many People know about this
There was around 120 boys Living in small apartments (10people- 3 Room apartment) and every week 10 boys were eliminated , they couldnt have phones and after debut they got paid rice instead of money and the reason Kris left is that he has some Heart disease and sm forced him into Things that could made him loose His life (its one of the reasons) also tao left because he had serious injury but sm forced him to perform . I don't know if you're aware about this or it's just me that think like this but....
Nowdays you see A LOT of kpop groups on those Billboard Album Rankings, now you can see BTS topping on no.1 spot too (and it's a huge thing). BUT before that, it was REALLY rare to reach that. Now you don't care that much when they're on No.10 or 50 or 100 spot but in that time it was a HUGE THING, and VERY HARD to reach that spot.

EXO is ONE..yes exo-k and exo-m were really close to each other, just like a family. They had been living together for years. It was hard for ex-members to leave the groupe as well but they had to, cuz for some reasons it was even harder staying in sm entertainment. They loved each other and still do but for their own health and freedom had to go.
I'm so late to this, but I've got some more information and clarification!
The song in the opening of the video is their intro/opening song for The ElyXiOn concert (EXO PLANET #4).
Kevin is so right about it being like a double edged sword. We all want to support EXO but we know by supporting EXO we're supporting SM. And even more, SM knows we will continue to support them! Last year SM or someone at SM talked about their finances and income for the year as it was getting to the 4th quarter of the year. They were unconcerned with not making much profit in the first 3/4 of the year because EXO had a comeback planned in the last quarter. I'm paraphrasing, of course, but I was even surprised at how blunt it was. SM know EXO-L will preorder and order the shit out of EXO's albums and sellout concerts, etc. (I tried looking for the specific article I read when this was released, but I couldn't find it :/)
When the video said REPACKAGE that's referring to Love Me Right being the repackage album of EXODUS. With EXO's full-length albums they have it's initial release and then a Repackage release usually a couple or few months later. Timing varies a bit, like only about a month between Tempo and Love Shot. So the repackage albums are a new comeback, music video, concept, music show performances, etc, but the music on the album is the same as the initial album release but with a few more songs- like a deluxe edition. The physical release _is_ different, though- like the photos and packaging will have the new concept. Their full-length albums and repackages go:

2012 and 2014 were the MAMA and Overdose mini-albums. And in 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017 EXO released winter albums: Miracles In December, Sing For You, For Life, and Universe, respectively. They also have one full-length Japanese album called COUNTDOWN, which was released in January 2018. And this is all just for EXO as a whole. I'm not even going into CBX, SC, or solo stuff.
I am kinda new to the fandom so I didn’t know much about the departure of the members but some answers to this vid were kinda enlightening. The way I see it I’ll always admire Lay’s loyalty. He could have easily followed the other three Chinese members steps riding on the discrimination mistreatment claims instead he stayed out of pure loyalty to the other members and persevered. He answered to the question what is exo to you? A source of perseverance. Now he kinda works by himself and successfully so but has so much love for the group he never calls himself out of it. That’s the only thing I gather from this whole situation.
Correct me if i'm wrong. Kris left when they were promoting Overdose, right before their first tour. Of course it affected them. Luhan left because of health issues, he informed the members. Note that Luhan was probably the most popular member and their centre (along with Kai).
Watching this with you guys make me think about the past. Time pass so fast. I never thought that I will be an EXO-L for the long time.
Let’s just say things have gotten a little bit better now though SM still’s a shit for not promoting EXO the way they deserve it.
According to the members, the treatment of the company is better to their juniors (NCT) compared to what they have before.
In case of Kris’s departure, the saddening part about it if it’s really true, that he left without telling the members. I hope that they are still in good terms like Luhan & Tao have with the members.
For the dating, at that time kpop fans are not really open when it come to idols dating. They have this sense of possessiveness towards them. So when BaekYeon resurfaced because of Dispatch (that I hate for revealing their relationship), both fans of them were enraged. There’s another dating scandal after and fortunately fans handled it a LITTLE BIT better that what BaekYeon received.

The "dating scandal" of Baekhyun and Taeyeon is really a huge mess because some fans thought that it is a MEDIA PLAY to cover Luhan's Departure. The media and people will focus on BaekYeon's Dating news than Luhan's Departure. And Kerries (Korean EXO Ls) are really worst, they think they own EXO. Their is one segment when the host ask the fans if they want EXO to date ot have a girlfriend. They really whined NO.

Exactly! That scandal's so obvious.. the top idols were dating in car with light up & the paparazi could shot nicely when they're dating secretly how ridiculous... Baekhyun and taeyeon are just innocent in victim of SM's executives.. haters don't deserve to mad them.. I'm glad if he finds true one but I'm mad like those fake relationship for him..he deserves happiness ( btw if he and chanyeol are real, I'll die in happy )

One thing I would like to point out is people always harp on how SM treats its idols and how EXO and a lot of other groups and members have been treated badly over the years. And, I agree, SM does not treat their idols like they should and they don't always stand up for them or support them like they should -- just look at what happened with Jonghyun and Sulli. But, SM is not the only company that has been known to act this way. Just look at YG Entertainment and all the scandal they have been through in the last year, and how much we have discovered about their business practices and the things they did to or with their artists and how the company had a part in drug coverups and sexual harassment scandals, etc. YG even resigned as the head of the company, etc. So I just want to make it clear that SM is not the only ones. Its a pervasive issue that is spread throughout the whole entertainment industry, and it stems from the fact that these artists are not just artists and entertainers, but they are considered "Idols," which means they are supposed to have these perfect, spotless images and be treated like gods, which doesn't allow them room to have normal lives and causes them to do everything in secret, such as dating, etc.; and it allows their companies to control every aspect of their lives in order to maintain this "Idol" image. As an "Idol" you are supposed to be and act perfectly and to never be sick or injured and to be able to maintain that image of always being open and available to your fans, while never really showing any flaws or doing anything that an average person might be involved in.
And while we are at it, its not just in Korea, just look at the western entertainment industry and the #MeTo movement. Look at how much sexual harassment and depravity has been going on in the U.S. over the years, and we only just started to learn about it in the past couple of years or so. Its a widespread issue that touches all corners of the world. So, I am not defending SM, but I just wanted to point out its not like they are the only ones with this warped idea of how to treat people that work for them in this industry, and its not like they started it all either.
All that cases was happened like yesterday..
Of cause We all miss luhan Tao and Kris alot .But we all have to face the present time .
I'm still proud to be a fan of EXO.

Since I was actively on ig at the time of the whole dating scandal, from my memory many of fans were more mad about the fact that both of the artists were uploading secret love posts about each other while making it to look like it was for the fans. I in the other hand have no clue about anything, I just remember loads of comments like that

the exo members were/are close, Kris maybe couldn't tell the other members he was leaving because of guilt? (just my opinion on it but nobody really knows?) The good thing is that now all the previous exo members (Luhan, Kris and Tao) are all on good terms! There's a bunch of videos of them interacting in award shows and on instagram etc stuff (Lay even talked to Luhan at one of them)
Also I agree with you that it was a good decision for the past members to leave, they went through so much :(
Of course that Exo K and Exo M were closed, at that time, they were already promoted together, like a family.
God knows, I became a Exo-L thanks Kris, but he didn't handle fair, if you spent four years as trainee, SM made a big investment in your training, you work hard yust to debut in a boy group, than you know that you, as individual, comes the second. He could have been like Lay, but he didn't want to wait and work with the others, so he choose another path. I'm glad that he, Luhan and Tao are OK and make the music they want.
You know all the bad treatment in EXO is still in. SM still mistreats EXO and EXOL. All the bad treat of SM was exposed by 3 members who left.

Kris said in an interview that he left because it was complicated for him to have to work in another country & he also said that he wanted to do more HipHop music and do his kinda music, he didn‘t feel free. But tbh, that‘s really stupid of him. Everyone knows that in Kpop you don‘t get to choose what type of music you make or you can‘t write lyrics, unless you‘ve been at the company for a longer time. Kris was in EXO for how long? maybe 2 years or what? he immediatly left. If you look at SM now, everybody gets his chance to express themselves, they have their solos/subunit stuff, and they even have much influence on the music that they do as a group. Of course he couldn‘t have known that times will change but why do you sign up for being a Kpop Idol if you can‘t take being restricted.. omg. Also, the country thing, why couldn‘t he have had thought ahead if it‘s going to be complicated for him? That‘s so dumb. But in case it’s really about the mistreatment bc of him
being chinese (less money etc.) it‘s understandable. But if you think about it. Lay is chinese too, and the only chinese one who didn‘t leave and what he said when Kris left „I know it can be tiring but endure a little longer in order for us to be able to be together.“ It‘s so beautiful. Even though Lay can‘t even properly participate in EXO activities anymore and even getting offers for chinese companies (offer him millions of 💵) he still doesn‘t leave. All the members that are currently in EXO have such a strong bond and by watching their variety shows you can really see that they will never disband or that someone will leave.
I really support this comment. Because there are so many people out there hate SM for everything. But people should know EXO was formed by SM. Their concepts and music come from there. And it's always SM's policy to debut a new boygroup once in 4 to 5 years. Everyone knows about this and everyone knows that SM promotes every group intensely only in those years. for Baekhyun n Taeyeon dating scandal, ppl should knw why fans got mad at them...not just bcause immaturity, all fandom have that no matter age, but the problem is Baekhyun n Taeyeon posted ig love sign, fans both of them thought every post in their ig were for them, but after dating news came out, fans realized that many similarities of them, fans felt they were cheated on them...n Baekhyun ever said, he wasnt date till 30's...thts why, his dating news shocked everyone in the fandom...but we knw, when Kai dating news released in 2016 n 2019, we were cool on it...cause fans never feel betrayed like wht Baekhyun did to them.
Agree. I was in Korea at that time and was excited to attend their FIRST concert. But when this thing happened, 10 days before concert, it was a total mess. EXO need to rearrange their choreo/part of their song up til late night/early morning! And I remember fans were outside SM building to support them (for the concert) and heard them cried while practicing! Just imagine how devastated they were :/

This is a bit late but regarding your question with how the members felt about Krishantao leaving, you should react to Promise (EXO 2014) Chinese version. Because like how the korean version was written by them for EXO-Ls, the chinese version is written for the former members.
Kpop itself creates this idols don’t date culture by the way they market their artists. Regular Korean people could care less, is really fans who are into them, this does not happen with actors. Companies are at fault

Nowadays, SM still using EXO for profits but doesn't promote them properly. I feel bad for them. The good thing is, EXOs are talented and they can slay in everything. They are now matured enough to decide. I'll be glad if they leave SM.
I think you should do what is best for you, but if a decision will actively affect someone else then it’s always better to talk to them about it. It wasn’t the leaving that was the hardest, the members are all soft-hearted and they’ve witnessed a lot of their trainee friends leave before. It was the manner in which it happened. From what I can remember, the one-year hiatus right after debut was also connected to Kris leaving to Canada without informing them. I guess he realized very early on that it was not what he wanted for his music career. I’m fine with the members who left, we had to work a little bit harder together because every member leaving meant a sizeable number of solo fans also leave with them, but it was what they wanted. Also, I really think everything that happened strengthened the bond between the members and with the fans. If anyone else wanted to go, I’m pretty sure the members would talk and be supportive. However, I think they’ll stay together. In the recent concerts, even in today’s concert, they’ve been talking about their solo activities and how they wish the fans would equally support everyone so they can all be happy.
I understand why fans get upset when their idols are dating because they feel betrayed cause their keeping secrets from us. It would have been okay if idols were honest and doesn't keep secrets cause that heats up it more I wish companies let their idols say the truth cause it hurts fans. Fans understand that idols can date but it hurts them from keeping it as a secret and makes fans feel betrayed.

I still love and support all original 12 members and I most definitely support Kris's decision to leave due to the circumstances. However, I don't agree with the way he went about it. Leaving 10 days before their concert without telling the members was NOT the best way to handle the situation. Kris has spoken fondly of the other members, he's said he "met the right people at the wrong time." Of course the members were hurt by his sudden decision without even discussing it with them, it felt like a HUGE betrayal, especially since Kris was Exo-M's leader. Some of the members posted about the situation on SNS. I'm not sure if any of the Korean members have settled things and are still in touch with Kris but I know Lay keeps in touch with all three Chinese members who have now left the group.

Kris left before the tour 2 weeks prior it even started and EXO had to rearrange choreography and he did not properly announce his termination to the members at all. That is what made the fans angry, at least leave with dignity. Kris is still under SM until 2022.

well..exo they themselves jst shared how they felt about how SM treats them nowadays n a more recent show..& it's not good..also..I feel so bad aftr watching an intriview of kris were he was ased if how s his relationshp w/ exo membrs, if r they still n contact..& he said there's no reason 4 them 2 b n contact..so sad..a lot of fans r mad on tao more coz of how he said not so good things bout kris & luhan aftr they left but then almst a yr aftr he left also..luhan & kris deopped d charges coz thier chance s not good so they ended up settling things w/ sm..so technically, they're still under SM until contract xpires on 2022..(10-yr contract)..but they also have their chinese label..tao though lost on SM & had 2 pay..u knw..

ok so there was no real beef between members. just like SM uses EXO against us and uses us against EXO, they used members against each other too. the reason why it impacted them so much was bcz Kris didnt tell them anything or discussed with them and it was the worst timing. they prob wont have stopped him from leaving bcz they knew better than anyone how bad it was for them. they were hurt and sad bcz they cudnt keep the promise of staying together that they made to fans and that promise got broken repeatedly so they feared that the fans no longer trusted their words. it is true that many ppl left the fandom then but we believe they were not real fans anyway.
When Luhan decided to leave he took members in confidence first and after leaving he did not pretend that his past with EXO didnt exist (something that SM made EXO do. they werent allowed to talk abt ex-members) Luhan never unfollowed any member on his IG or deleted his pics with them, remaining members also didnt delete their old pics. thats why we were not as mad at Luhan even tho it still hurt. in Tao's case, the misery was so apparent that no one even wanted to say anything. the only thing that got us mad was when he said he was alone during the years in SK but Suho had been taking care of all members especially youngest ones and carried the biggest burden alone so that hurt a bit bcz Suho really cares for them as a leader and older brother. BUT, many years have passed and now things are settled. we believe they have been in contact with each other all this time even if they cudnt reveal it. all 3 chinese members who left are friends still and interact publicly as well. only Luhan was seen with current and only chinese EXO member Lay in a public event. Recently Tao even wished the debut anniversary to all EXO-M members including the 2 who are still in EXO. it was a heartwarming moment for OT12 stans but he had delete it bcz of OT8/OT9 stans

If not because of SM mistreatment they might be still 12 today and imagine how powerful they are. But it happened already and we cant change that. For the dating scandal i don't understand why fans hate it. Are they jealous or insecure? Like you're just a fan and you dont own them. It's okay to be sad but to hate them is wrong. Very wrong.
I think it was pretty disrespectful of Kris to leave 10 days before a concert knowing himself how much you need to work and prepare. That he did leave doesn't bother but knowing that the other members would have to rewrite all songs parts and change all the dances. U know...exo had this much problems and they are still on top. In all rankings they are n2 (after bts) i know bts is an amazing group. They are my fav after exo. But I'm sure if exo didn't have this problems, no one could bit them now. I'm into kpop since even before exo debuted. I saw a looot of amazing and popular and famous group disbanded bcz some simple problems. But exo, after everything happened....they are still together. They are still on top. And it is sad when people say bad things about them and say they are just an average group and they can't even be compared with bts....they don't know exo. But we know. They are the inspiration of being strong, of friendship and passing hard situations and rise again and again. They are amazing.
Baekhyun and Taeyeon were such a cute couple. I was actually so, so elated & excited when SM confirmed that the two are dating; too bad K-pop culture and Korean culture is completely fucked up to a point where idols can't even have that little bit of happiness and love. I am sorry if I offended anyone, but the whole "idol is my property" thing is just the biggest crap I've heard my whole life. That is one of the things I hate the most about K-pop, if I am completely honest.
