*THE GIRL AND THE DREAMCATCHER is about a young GIRL who is in an abusive relationship; but that when going to a Cafeteria that she liked, she ended up meeting a BOY who became her friend, he knew what happened to her due to what she vented about the fights she went through. But the boy remained with his notebook, writing songs to cheer her up while doing everything to fight for her love and protect her like a Gladiator from the monsters she faced; she liked science fiction and seeing the stars, because she wanted to feel free and do what she wanted, because she had lost her identity; he asked her to go stargazing, even though he preferred going to a museum to see the famous paintings, so that she could find herself. So she ended the old relationship, even though it cost part of her psychology to do so, and agreed to go out with the young musician from the coffee shop where she lived texting in the morning. They became happy; he tried to make her happy, even though her hurts still existed. She had found true love in him too, everything seemed perfect, the 2 loved walking in Central Park in New York at night to see the city lights glowing, going to bars, enjoying life, until the young musician ended up DYING, leaving the girl with just LONELINESS. After his wake, she tried to cheer herself up by going to parties, but she couldn't be happy anymore, because in every place she felt his strong presence, since his soul couldn't be at peace. So much of what they went through, for now everything is just a memory! He tried to reach her even in the Beyond, but without success, he was now just a non-existent shadow. She suffered, she couldn't forget him, she wanted to have him close again, she just wanted everything to be like a "FALSE ALARM", and when night came, she could see him again to wipe away her tears.*

If you look at Dove's interviews when they first confirmed their relationship she talked about how they had a lot of chemistry on set.
Also Dove and Thomas don't talk give a lot of details when it comes to WHEN they started dating so that seems fishy.
