The movie seriously traumatized me as a kid 😱Loved Taste Like Candy but Mother Dear was on my worst list (though banger cover!). My Nanna sat me down in front of "the cartoon bunny film" when I was 7 [it was on daytime tv in the 90s] and I still have flashbacks as a 41 year old, so the thought of reading the book is horrifying to me. I used to be a speed reader & always used to take books from relatives bookcases to borrow when I was younger, and Flowers In The Attic is one of the two books that my chill parents were upset about when they caught me with it - though I'd already finished it by the time they caught me.
