    My favorite player to watch. His post game is so uncommon in todays run and gun, jump shooting game, he's virtually unstoppable when he gets you in the post. His defense was definitely not even adequate this year, but Philly has also done nothing to help Okafor grow, its understandable why he lost much of his passion and drive playing for a team that was intentionally losing his rookie year, and was looking to trade him reportedly since the day he got there. If he gets the opportunity to play and start somewhere new I truly believe Jahlil has the ability to grow and become one of the most dominant forces in the game.

    He had serious defensive limitations with the Sixers, but he undoubtedly had offensive game. I haven't watched him too much this season, but if he's moving quicker and defending better, he's a solid player. He would be a great 6th man. Best footwork for a big man.

      That's what I tell people. I'm a student of the game. If this guy played 15 years ago during the era of low post big men, he would be one of the top players in the NBA. The 76ers didn't use him properly. He's too skilled to be sitting the bench. Teach him proper defense and he could be the biggest steal.

    I'm a Laker fan who loves to watch Jahlil Okafor Highlights, and I'm still salty we didn't take this guy. I think D'lo is going to be really good too, but as a Laker fan, knowing the tradition of superstar bigs and the success they have with the Lakers, if I knew trading for Okafor might end up in a few rings, I'd give up one of our guards and a pick for Okafor in a heartbeat. You 76ers have too many good bigs, and you can't play them all at once. You are going to have to part with with some of them, but you guys are as starved for guards as you are rich in bigs. Lakers have two young promising guards, JC and D'lo, who really aren't all that compatible on the floor at the same time, like Okafor and Embiid wouldn't be either. We make good trade partners. I think Lakers would trade JC, because trading D'lo would be admitting they made a draft day mistake. I doubt the 76ers would take just draft picks, because it might only get them more bigs LOL. I think Lakers would have to give up one of their guards for Okafor, but looking at Okafor's highlights. I'd do it. I am an NBA fan who still believes in the big man, and as a Laker fan, I was there hyping Embiid up with 76er fans while he was hurt, because I know Embiid is going to be a monster. I even said that I think Embiid would be better than Okafor, although it seems like it might be slightly, because they are both beasts, but different beasts. I hope the Lakers would trade for one of those two, as I'm not really big on Nerlens, but I know the 76ers aren't giving up Embiid, so Okafor would do fine. My prediction is that Lakers might make a move close to the trade deadline. That's what I would do. That way they will know whether they want to keep JC or D'lo more.

    shame that he hasn't been able to shine in the league, he's just unlucky that he's a player in the wrong era. He just doesn't fit the mold of what the modern NBA wants out of a PF, and the holes in his game that would be waved in another time period are too glaring to overlook now, and no team is willing to go against the grain enough to build their team in such a way that would let him shine. Maybe he'll find a situation that lets him flourish, but as it looks now, it's a disservice to the game of basketball that we never got to see what Jalil Okafor could have become.

    • @TurboThunda
      @TurboThunda 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      nah bro its not just that he cant stretch the floor. he cant defend either. also he has always hogged the ball and slowed down offenses. I can see why he is playing in china rn. I do think if he never had that knee inury tho he couldve been a starter but that sapped any speed and agility that he had (which wasnt much to begin with). even then he would have not been a good player for this era bc of his total inability to shoot outside of 3 feet. I think he wouldve been an average player back in the day but his defensive and offensive IQ are just so lacking that I couldnt see him being an all star even

    I love how he plays but god he’s gotta post up more. With a strong body he sure seems faces up a lot and can’t seem to back people down and gain a deep position in the post.
