Those crazy splits SGA does to decelerate look similar to the sliding technique used by tennis players like Djokovic to get out to a wide ball and rapidly recover to the centre of the court.

very true, i wonder if it will be more of an emphasis for iso scorers, kyrie also creates similar angles which make him extremely difficult to stay in front of when he decelerates. Yoga and mobility exercises are extremely important for almost every sport, not just lifting in the gym. It’s the reason why Wembanyama is an alien at his size, and helps him prevent injury.

It’s also true that the majority of fans don’t wanna see this.
Casual fans wanna see dunks, 3’s and grown men shouting.
This why the WNBA don’t get views. This why even TH-cam basketball players have started shouting and performing for the camera.

SGA creates so much space that I see him pause a lot before actually shooting. Maybe it’s balance or maybe it’s just reading the game, I’m not saying Luka is better at it but I actually predict that their shot prob goes up around the same time after they initiate the cross.

His offhand is the opposite of most. Hooking up rather than hammering down.

SGA seems like the Kobe to Luka’s Lebron. They’re both amazing, SGA is a bit older, not as good of a scorer, passer, or rebounder a slightly better defender and is cooler to be a fan of, even though everyone knows he isn’t in the same atmosphere. I like Shai’s game, when the thunder first made the trade I knew they won the trade, but all these people saying he’s better than Luka are just taking the “cooler” option.

No he’s just better. All that cool shit is just in your mind. He’s actually a more efficient scorer than Luka and a more efficient passer when looking at ast/to ratio. And he’s by far a better defender, talking 1st or 2nd team defense level. And I said all this as a fan of Luka so no bias.

@@rickeymickeyii4166 I don't think so. Shai 100% better defender becuz luka fucking no defense but in offence luka is just better u are just luka hater my man. Luka has more potential assisted he's at top 3. In term of scoring he's genius af he never below avarage anywhere in the court in scoring he effective in drive is 2nd (I can missed about this) he's not effective like sga on 2 point but in exchange he took more shot on 3 but has efficiency more than sga and keep in mind that he got the most double team in the league but he score more point.
