Problem 1:
Diameter of outer gear unit: 36mm
Diameter of inner gear unit: 13mm
Width of outer gear slanting teeth: 7mm
Height of inner gear including width of slanting gear: 17mm
Problem 2:
Bolt size required: minimum 35mm
Bolt diameter: maximum 5mm
Problem 3:

First, thanks a lot for your detailed explanations and time you took ti make this video!
Second, got a F11 from 2012 with soft close option of course, and need maybe your experience to solve a small issue I meet since few months now.
Soft close is working properly, no gears noise, as door is approaching mechanism close as it should, except it stay in fully closed position much longer than the others doors. On normal behaviour, it catch the door, close it a little bit more as it should stay then release slightly the door quite instantly to stay in normally closed position. In my case, cycle is the same except it stays in fully closed position at least 1 second before releasing the door to be in normal position.
Do you have any experience with that kind of issue?

If your soft close is closing itself without releasing to open position then it is related to the door lock itself and not the soft close motor. In the majority of cases the door tries to close but wouldn't be able to complete the procedure, in such cases just install the motor with a nut bolt or screw and nut. I have detailed it in a recent video. I'll post it below

Soft close is cycling properly in any cases, no issues at all except the timing itself as I described before.
Guess it could come from the hall effect sensor for closed position on the latch, or maybe an extended or slightly loose cable between motor and latch... I may be wrong, idk!
@@Energize-R you can check it's functionality by just pressing the door lock locking lever with a screw driver and the soft close motor will lock the rest, this is just to see how bad is your door lock.

What about the taller bolts cuz my issue that the door is trying to close but its it open back again so the bolts if they are available taller thank you

Afeef brother thank you the support, i have opened the door trim and fond in my car bmw f06 the motor is on metal holder and metal bolts from the factory, the door is trying to close but dose not shot completely, and there are no weird sound to say that we need to change some gears, did this case passed by you? i guess its the cable due to someone did shut the door quit hard and then i heard like plastic crack then, this issue happened

May be the sensor issue inside the door lock itself. I saw this issue in my cousins F10 car but I didn't get time to confirm the problem.

Hello,can i swap mecanism from a soft close BMW x3 f25 to a non soft close ? Or i need more electricle bits? Thank you.
I have used an E70 and E60 door lock on F10. I hope F25 will also be similar- cannot guarantee as I have no clue on X3. Soft close mechanism will work on non soft close model

In my case a door sometimes is pulled în, sometimes not. When is not pulled I don't hear any noise, works like normal door. What can be the problem?
When it doesn't close automatically does it try to close?

@@mariuszaharia4023 might be the wire has loose connection, when the holding bolts break the motor hang on the wire and there is a possibility of loose connection at the small connector end.
@@bimmerhacks what is the size of the screw I need to buy in 35mm Lenght? is that a M3 or m4 or m5? My support are broken. Driver Door tries to close and then after 2 seconds it pushes back. I can feel something is broken when I try to shake the door.
@@sachin2080 screw with nut and washer, or nut bolt with washer. Diameter of bolt is around .3 mm I am not aware of screw names
