Episode Description
Ever since MGM purchased Cosmopolitan almost two years ago, people have been wondering when Identity would go away. We finally have the news of when Cosmo's very popular loyalty program will be ending and when the property will be fully integrated into MGM Rewards. Just in time for a new connection to Bellagio that is to be announced soon.

Was just the Bellagio, and the gal at the front desk says, " Oh,I'm from California too. I'll get you a good room for sure!" Then proceeded to put me on the 4th floor with an awesome view of a slate wall and the giant A/C's!!!😂😂

I stay with friends at the Venetian every year. The room set up is the big appeal. We spend a decent amount of time hanging in the room talking and drinking. I like a nice view for those trips. Glad they are getting a renovation.
The rooms are great for hanging out with a group before heading out for the night for sure

heads up at Cosmo, they have no bartenders making the drinks for the cocktail servers like they used to and it is all cheap booze just like all other MGM props., they r doing it the horrible MGM way now with a machine and the cocktail servers punch some buttons, i asked for my usual makers mark she doesnt tell me and gives me 4 Roses which i dont like, the 2nd server was honest with me about their drink service, Cosmo used to be classy with great drinks no more b/c of MGM, honestly lately unless i order a beer i dont trust any of the mixed drinks in Vegas or Laughlin
Rooftops are everything when it comes to Las Vegas. Vegas is forever changing that’s for sure. The new hotel room looks fantastic. And Circa doing the 21 years old thing is so cool. Thanks for sharing with us.

Happy 25th anniversary to the Venetian Hotel and Casino, I love how Circa is making a party for the former high school students who didn't get a graduation party due to the pandemic in 2020. I wouldn't be surprised if they make bets for kids sports legal in the future, I'm already imagining all the parents getting into fights, getting arrested for being too rowdy, drunk if they lose money and transform into Randy Marsh from "South Park" and things get out of control. Love how Mark did the impression of the father at 14:26 it's so funny.
The marketing team at Circa is very creative. They keep coming up with new ideas. 👍

I don't agree with you that people just want a room to pass out in while in Vegas. One of the things we enjoy is our room. Many of those rooms are very nice and it feels good to sleep, bathe and rest in them. I also enjoy the view and HATE getting an A/C view. 😊
We were kidding a bit. Different rooms and hotels are there for different purposes. You bet when I’m at Wynn I’m enjoying that room!
We enjoy sitting in front of a window overlooking the strip drinking whiskey. But, we’ve been married 50 years. So, that’s fun for us. Plus where we live, two stories is a tall building.

Cosmo will always be the Cosmo because it was supposed to be condos and why the rooms have mini kitchens and balconies. It's a nice mini-suite in a different vibe than Bellagio for sure.

I'm really glad the ambitious Venetian remodel has been confirmed. I know when the word first broke about a year ago and then Apollo didn't elaborate on it shortly thereafter, there was concern whether maybe they had a financial shortfall and had to scale back, or even if Apollo would sell the resort at one point. So this is very encouraging to hear.
The Venetian is unquestionably one of the five best resorts on the Strip in my opinion, but it does have some glaring flaws that have unquestionably kept it a tier or two beneath Wynn/Encore in my view. One of them is their rooms. While spacious, undoubtedly luxurious and offering plenty of amenities, they're nonetheless quite dated to the point where you're hard-pressed even finding device connectivity in them. They're also pretty drab in their current state. Another one of Venetian's biggest flaws presently is their pool complex. I personally consider their pool complex to be the second most disappointing on the entire Strip (only behind Aria)............because it's basically a bunch of tiny pools surrounded by concrete kind of resembling a cottage market. Its concrete-to-pool ratio is quite hefty and has just simply underwhelmed me the several times I've visited there. Plus their pool bar drinks are pre-made: which also diminishes the luxury experience. I hope they completely alter that.
I think Apollo knows it needs it. Question is how long they own it after finishing the remodel.
We always stay at the Wynn (comp) with a view of the empty golf course. We spend a bit of time in the room. The views are really great.
At Wynn I’m definitely enjoying the views (I’ve always gotten lucky) and the room!
I thought when you first showed that rooftop view that it was going to be a story about some type of “Hangover” experience you could do or something. It really looked like where Doug was stranded for days in the movie. 🤣🤣🤣

The last time we stayed at The Aria, our room wasn't ready so they "upgraded" us to a one bedroom suite. We entered the room and the view was directly above those AC vents. Lol! The bedroom had better view though. I'm still trying to forget about the F1 racing since I was there a week before the race last year and it was a nightmare trying to get around the Strip. As for the Cyber Truck, it's ugly and I would trade it in for cash if I won it. Also, weren't they being recalled because of some issues with brakes or steering wheel? 😂

Yeah the gas pedal was getting stuck. Quality engineering as always. Tesla’s are no bueno in the EMF exposure department. A charging Tesla is basically like installing a cell tower in your garage.
I have always thought we should have those capsule hotels here! Also Mark is 100% on it that the cybertruck is not a truck, it's a stainless steel kitchen appliance

I want to tell you two, another great video and that I get all info on what’s happening on the Strip from your videos! I often share at work, my coworkers are amazed that I know so much. I do tell them about your channel, but for whatever reason they truly believe I walk around the Strip. I’m like heck no, I leave to go home after work! I work at one of the big casinos on the Strip!
I feel the sadness at seeing the Trop being dismantled. Saw it yesterday with the front facing being removed. Like many that I work with, I’m not excited at all that construction for F1 has already started! Traffic was horrid last year pre-set up and break down. Really the F1 tear down finished just prior to the Super Bowl, so end of January. Then that bridge over Koval took forever to come down too. I really hope it does not take them 6 months to put it all back up.

I'm VERY happy MGM Rewards is finally rolling into the COSMO Identity program. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I get pretty good comp offers from MGM (at least for rooms). I've never stayed at the Cosmo, so now it looks like I will!

You guys need to somehow inform management at Fontainebleau to light the outside of that Tower. It's too dark, you can't see it from a distance.
Stayed at flamingo one time and my view was a brick wall which rose up 5’ over my window.
F1 is making it so I'm only willing to visit Vegas January to April.

Had. A comp room at MGM looking over a roof like that, This room was 1 mile from the elevator if it was afoot. I think this room hadn’t Ben used in years, never went back to MGM.
Hi Shawn and Mark! Thanks for the update. I recall long before the Cosmo was built that the Hyatt had advertised that location as part of the Shopping Mall and it had a really long name like Hyatt Intercontinental something hotel resort. The renderings were Gorgeous! Then Hyatt backed out of it. I think it would have been very nice! CAB😊

I’m apparently way behind on this but the fact that the name of something in Las Vegas is “Paddock Club” is beyond terrible judgement.
They changed it right before the race (that’s the standard name used in F1) but then some marketing has still used it.
Howdy guys ! I was just at Bellagio for 5 nights last week . Was fully comped in one of the renovated Salon Suites . Room was great and had an excellent view. I never do the kiosk check in . Bellagio was insanely busy. This is the first trip in many years that I came home a winner from the slots so I’m a happy camper lol. Great show as always gentlemen 😎😎😎

I took my wife and kids on the gondola ride and it’s definitely worth it to do at least once and you can usually get discounts with your players card 10 15 20% depending on your status

Weve been platinum MGM AND cosmo for over a decade...and we quit gambling at Cosmo when MGM announced the 'some day' merger. I cant figure out why ANYONE would have spent a penny there knowing it was all going to be washed away.

I saw the Cybertruck here at Hallandale Beach, FL. Odd looking and almost amphibious and maybe James Bond. The Cybertrucks have been recalled. The fuel pedal apparently slips off and the vehicle accelerates.
great Harrahs Laughlin story i go to bed at 6 am at 10 am they test the fire alarm for 12 minutes straight, like 500 rings of the alarm system, also Harrahs Laughlin always turning the water off and on probably Legionnaires like Rio had a few years back

Question #1 - If you’re already Titanium Elite for Marriot Bonvoy AND Platinum for MGM properties, WHAT benefits are derived if rooms are comped with MGM? I’m not linking accounts because I’m afraid I’ll loose something by linking.
Issue #2 - MGM is going to have limit room comps at Cosmopolitan as I don’t believe that Gold and Pearl MGM members are going to be comped over paying customers as Cosmopolitan will replace Bellagio as the flagship property because of the outside balconies. Thoughts?
Check with Marriott to see what they say first. You might want to check several times to see if you get the same answer twice.
You have to book through Marriott to get any of their perks and it ain't much. If you gamble at MGM at all it is pretty much always going to be better to just book direct.

Just add an indoor connection from Park MGM to NYNY and MGM Grand and I‘m ready to stay at these six casinos for a week without leaving once :)

Do you guys have any information on the outdoor movie nights on the pool deck at the Fontainebleau? Also, I read on a travel blog (but have seen nothing on either hotel's site) that Fontainebleau is offering a day pass to their pool deck for people staying at Venetian/Palazzo if they want to come check it out?

I once stayed at Binion's (2002 I believe) in a room I am certain a fresh murder occurred. My view was a wall and litter piled high. They were working on the roof and they worked early in the morning and threw all the roof debris into that litter pile. And there was the video gaming slot that was near my room and played the same silly music 24-7. I used to be a normal, but that stay changed me.

I recently received an email offer for 3 free nights, food comps & free play at Cosmo. Now through September 11th. I am gold. So I get 2 nights also to use. I asked if those expire at the end of July. She said that I am able to use through January 2024 (anniversary date). So I was able to book 5 comped nights. Sounds like what you have with Identity for comps, you are still able to use until their expiration date. I have $200 food and beverage comps I am hoping to use as well!

I was supposed to go to Deadwood this summer but the plans fell through. Haven't been out that way since I was a kid and really want to get back.

Yeah Venetian is doing a smart thing probably teasing out the same renovation for years but it feels like a solid place to keep the place relevant. Great resort.
Cosmo is a dam nice casino I stayed there once in a while. It’s just a hop skip and to jump across to Planet Hollywood. The last time I stayed at planet Hollywood. I had a luxury suite, but it was rundown even the carpet was rundown. It was pretty much nasty cosmos high class, baby no getting around it.
Hey guys I was seriously dying when you showed all the "great" room views. I was just there in April. Did the whole digital checking thing - never again. I want to check in with a human. The view I had from my room was a wall! Worst non view I've ever had in vegas!

Every kiosk check-in for me yields similar results! I think they dump those rooms on the kiosk people.

This betting thing is crazy! I work with people who are on their phones constantly betting on all kinds of stuff. I can’t imagine how much money they are going through. Believe me I love gambling. I go to Vegas twice a year but that’s when I gamble not every day.
That is the problem with all of the online sportsbooks / casinos rolling out for sure. No barrier for entry like having to drive to a casino, pull out physical cash etc.
3:40 Is it true that unless you book your MGM room via Marriott you won't earn Marriott points ? Also paying at MGM with a Marriott credit card doesn't seem to earn any extra points. I believe Marriott members are spending more as my room rate at VDARA via MGM was 1/3 if I booked via Marriott
Correct. You have to book through Marriott unlike their previous Hyatt partnership.
Yeah if you have any gambling history with MGM at all it is always gonna be a better rate than through Marriott.

Celine has been around a bit more in the public but I haven’t heard anything about her return to stage. The resort has never performed as well as they would like but they seem to report decent occupancy.

Did the gondola ride $60 for two plus tip. Not worth it. The ride was over before Ie en got comfortable and there was no singing.
