One place I found success is looking for jobs with digital agencies that work with sites like wordpress, or even squarespace, yeah it is not something you would write home about but it will at least get you paid. That is kind of the path I started with, worked for a local digital agency in my home town doing minor edits wordpress sites and content updates, this allowed me to make some money to pay my bills and at night I focused on learning React and Javascript, nothing wrong with wordpress and PHP, just wasn't my passion.
I stumbled across your videos as a fresh bootcamp graduate a month or so ago. I had celebrated my graduation, my first son coming into the world, and 5 years clean. You gave me hope. You're absolutely right, it's really tough in today's market. I still haven't even gotten a call back. But I know if anyone, before even myself, can land a job in tech, it's you. Even if you have to get a supplementary job in the meantime while you practice your skills, I feel the time and energy is worth it. If you want to collaborate on a small project, I'd be down. I don't have much but I'm going to subscribe because I want to see you succeed.

I am in the same boat, sorta. I have a CS degree but didn’t break into a job right out of college. I have had a couple of years “off” from daily work at this, but am starting to get into a groove now. This challenge will not last forever. Keep it up!

You're missing the same thing I am I think; a birthday in the 90s/00s. I left IT to get into software development but hasn't happened yet. That was longer ago than I care to admit. I truly wish you the best man!
Sometimes its also worth remembering that networking is half the job, but not the whole job. The other half is showing your skills and selling them. So don't worry about it. Keep working, keep moving forward. That's the onyl real way :)

They invested heavily in networking, and it amounted to nothing. It was crushing to watch, unimaginable for them. I've also plenty of people nose down and build from the ground up, starting their own small businesses that scale into, eventually, their own networks. Have you given hard thought to starting your own gig or, as I'd feel being a dad myself, are you concerned that the income might be too low for too long to make it work?
I am actively working on building a business I have made some money from it. But it's not stable enough yet. So I just need a job with a stable income while I build
Things are getting harsh. I did some web design bout a decade a go and now upskilling to get back in the game. But inflation is ravaging evrything. Not impossible to find work but very challenging now. Im hoping for good things after the election n getting my skills intop shape by then. In the meantime even a dominos job is a challenge to get.
