What a great interview. May God bless Mrs. Pearcey and the others like her who fear God before man. His design affords the greatest self-worth and value from a benevolent Creator.
Randy Alcorn, in his book, "Heaven" discusses the way our body follows into eternity with our soul, personality and Spirit. That both we and "it" will be together as now in fully recognizable form, but better. Others who we've known throughout our lives who are there with us will recognize us as soon as we join them. When I capture that truth, my body becomes much more significant to the topic being discussed.
What if your child insists that they experienced no trauma at all...that she just realized she was gay, and therefore rejected the church she grew up in? I think we focus too much on trauma, and not enough on our sin nature.
