Rosie, you are amazing. For 2.5 years I have been listening to everything on emotional affairs and pornography and you are the first to call it what it is: Worship of a demonic idol. BAMM!#^*! It has always bothered me how all these people say you need to make sure you look nice you meet his needs. And then I’m sitting there saying well. What about my needs he doesn’t even care about them. Most of us can’t do anything else to meet their needs. They don’t even know what their needs are. They think it’s pornography and sex. They’re emotionally empty people. The idol of pornography has robbed them of their emotions. Out of this whole thing to avoid dealing with it when I bring things up, I have a remodeled house. I have a brand new beautiful ring. He would buy me anything, but that’s not what I need. It’s not what I want, but this is his way of coping. I’d rather live in a shack and have a man I can trust to keep his mind pure. I am going to go further with this now in taking over helping him or we will part ways after forty years. Sounds like we’re old but we’re not. We are healthy and active and have a lot of years left, but not with this idol.
I wish I had known this teaching when I was married for 34 years to a husband with this sexual addiction! I was taught as a Christian wife to b submissive to my husband in everything which of course included the sexual area ! So I suffered much perversion in the marriage bed which never satisfied ! I went to my Church for help only to b told the marriage bed was undefiled which was a wrong interpretation of the scripture ! I suffered sexual abuse in silence all those years of my marriage ! There was always a problem on the sexual area but I never understood the root cause was his addiction to pornography until after his death ! It is so tragic the Churches are silent and not addressing this silent killer of so many Christian marriages ! It’s time to hot Pastors to wake up and help Christian me overcome this horrible addiction !! 🙈🙏

Husbands you need to confess to God as well as your Wives. Confessing to your pastor or brother in Christ is NOT going to make the CHANGE you desperately really want to get you out of the hole that has been dug before marriage or childhood. Honesty is the key. Thank you!!! 70% of men in and now 25/30% women in the church are struggling. "This is an IDOL that has been normalized in our culture" The analogy to spice up the marriage with this material is like putting Acid instead of sauce. Yes, we have the power of self-control yet we are taught men are "animals" and powerless. Don't believe the lie. " Women are the ones who are going to fight for their husbands by keeping them accountable for the sake of their family. " Women are the secret weapon sitting quietly in the pews because we want to break this generational curse"
Lust comes to steal kill and destroy. There is absolutely no shut off switch to the sin of lust, until a death happens. The spirit of lust drives people into many addictions, not just one. The ones that can cause absolute physical death are drugs and alcohol. Many people addicted to pornography have also food, drug or alcohol, and or gambling dependence and body dysmorphias that they may not realize are connected to their pornography dependence

Yes I was told to give more sex go full force buy sexy clothes ect he rejected me more and more and pushed me away physically so yeah terrible church advice I had a Christian woman tell me it’s only sex that crushed me I’m in betrayal trauma therapy
