Once this Tibet bill is signed by President Biden and becomes law, we will request the like minded countries like Canada, Europe, Australia and Japan to follow. India can do or not do is India‘s business, we Tibetans will not press to follow others. But india should not repeat blunders it had done in past. It is also important for Indian people to study Tibetan history, Tibet being its biggest neighbour for centuries. Sadly, there is nothing about Tibet in Indian school text books; history, geography or culture. Who is suppose to know about Tibet more than India and Nepal. Tibet‘s northern neighbour Mongolia exist good relations in the past and till today.

I don't think the resolution of Sino-Tibetan conflict is the corner-stone of Indo- US cooperation as you described.
The humanitarian help to the Tibetan refugees in India has been very great. I call this part Indian policy as" This much". But India has not shown any interest in the resolution of Tibetan political conflict with China and I call this part of Indian stand as"No further" So the Indian policy can be termed as "This much and No further" which has been adopted since early 1950s and it continues even today.
Tibet belongs to Tibetan and it was independent country till china invaded in 1959
The Dalai Lama has recently said that Tibet is and has always been part of China. He also said that he doesn’t want to seek independence from China. He also said that as long as the people in Tibet have a better life it is most important.
Tibet was historically never part of China. It was in the Sphere of Indian Buddhist influence. Infact Tibet once ruled over China.

It would be hypocritical of India to claim that Arunachal Pradesh as an integral part of India, if she does not recognize and accept that Tibet was a sovereign independent state at the Time of signing the 1914 Shimla Agreement in other words, the MacMohon Line. One should remember that Tibet when asked by the British Raj to provide proof of ownership of the area (now called Arunachal Pradesh) provided over 90 articles and documents, where as China provide 0 evidence and turned tail and returned to Beijing refusing to counter sign. Therefore, India playing coy with the issue of Tibet does not bode well with her geopolitical dealings with China.

Dr Rajan Kumar, I’m sorry Tibet cannot be an independent country in 1912 while the Qing Dynasty was falling. It was still under the rule of the Qing Government, there was no formal announcement nor recognition of Tibet independence at that time. Only the British decided to cunningly negotiate with the Dalai Lama privately with the ongoing protest of the Qing Governor and the Qing palace for the land in the areas of Arunachal Pradesh and so on. So your facts are wrong.
