- Indian diplomat Bhavika Mangalanandan on Friday hit out at Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif over his statements on Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Giving a befitting reply, Bhavika Mangalanandan said a country run by the military, with a global reputation for terrorism, narcotics, trade and transnational crime, has had the “audacity to attack the world's largest democracy”, adding that it is “hypocrisy at its worst”. Describing Shehbaz Sharif's remarks over Kashmir as “unacceptable”, the diplomat said Pakistan will seek to counter the truth with more lies. She also reiterated New Delhi's stand, saying that Jammu and Kashmir is an inalienable and integral part of India. Pakistan's envoy responds after an Indian diplomat schools its neighbouring country. So conveniently you've left out the first condition for the UN plebiscite which was that Pakistan had to withdraw its forces while allowing India to maintain minimal forces. Pakistan refused to pull back from occupied J&K as part of the first condition.
Amazing how many selective facts the Pakistanis can say just to revise history. It was Pakistan which sent in tribal Pashtun militia to cause rebellions and genocide of Hindus and Sikhs living in Kashmir. When the king signed accession to India whose army drove out the Pashtun militia, Pakistan refused to accept it and armed rebels against the Indian army. Pakistan has been arming jihadis inside Kashmir since the independence.
Anyways, now India is no longer interested to negotiate, talk or make deals. You want it, come and find out what happens.
Jammu and Kashmir will always be a part of India. The only solution is for Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir to go and quietly settle down in Pakistan which is just a few hours of travel.
