India need tons of money to build infrastructure to catch up with China. Who still invest money in infrastructure today? China and Japan, but China can offer much cheaper arrangement, something that India with its lack of money, need the most. India also need machinery to build its industry, and China is one of the producers for it, and also the cheapest one, something again, that India with its lack of capital, will benefit the most from it. More importantly, India need investment, and China has plenty of money to invest, and certainly China is or maybe was interested in India. But after how India government treated several Chinese companies that heavily invested in India, I doubt more Chinese companies will follow suit.

India needs to cooperate with China to accelerate its transformation into a global manufacturing power, with seamless integration with global supply chain.
It has long been China's stance that "Put the border disputes aside, let us cooperate on everything else. "
An emerging power like India cannot let its development be kidnapped by border disputes.
Look at Japan and S. Korea. These two East Asia neighbors can sit down for negotiations and cooperations, despite of their long time disputes over the sovereignty of the Liancourt Rocks in the sea between them. That is political wisdom and diplomatic maturity on full display.
Other countries such as China and India can definitely learn from S. Korea and Japan to manage their difference on borders, LAC, or whatever, and develop their relationship for the benefit of the economy and people.
The US, with its dirty "divide and conquer" tricks, doesn't want to see BRICS countries developing fast together. They'd rather see the two neighboring Asian giants fighting, hurting and weakening each other, to maintain their domination in Indo-Pacific for their own geopolitical interests.

    • @be12
      @be12 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A sane voice.
India had no specific strike forces on the northern border, and the posture was completely defensive, patrolled mostly by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police or ITBP. Things can still be kept calm on a disputed border if the place and timing of patrols around that border is known to both sides. If things are kept calm for a few years, then mutual confidence can build up and perhaps a more permanent agreement could be reached in time. One can see a lot of mutually beneficial things on the plate, including trade and investment.
There's one problem - salami slicing. When it suits them, like when Xi Jinping last visited India, the Chinese patrol forward and then refuse to leave, which is basically occupying new land. Then it seems that they are talking out of both sides of their mouth. That's when fatal clashes occur on the border.
_There is no way forward if the Chinese continue to do this_. India has not yet gotten into a common defensive pact with other nations on China's periphery and had not fully committed to the QUAD which is why AUKUS happened.
Now, we may have to align with other nations for a defensive alliance.

Learning from China means making revolutionary changes in land policies, basic education, infrastructure construction, and many other aspects. This means confiscating a considerable portion of the cake belonging to interest groups and returning it to the people. You can imagine how much resistance India will encounter to make such changes, and that is what you will face. There is a Chinese saying: 功成不必在我,功成必定有我. The meaning is that great achievements do not necessarily have to be achieved by me in the end, but there must be my full effort in them. India invaded China in 1962 through Nehru's forward policy when China was having a massive famine from 1958 to 1962 and during the Sino-Soviet split from 1960 to 1962. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that India would never miss to grab more land from a weakened China. When India gets beaten up and lost the war that they had started despite all these advantages, not to mentioned military supplies from Israel and USA (Research on "Israel aid to India in the 1962 war" and "America's aid to India in the 1962 war" and "JFK’s Forgotten Crisis"), she cried to the entire world and plays the victim. Till now, India never dares to disclose the "Henderson Brooks and Neville Maxwell report on the 1962 war" even after 60+ years. And when the report was leaked into the internet momentarily in 2014, India demanded the report to be purged permanently from the internet citing "national security"....just like BBC's documentary on the 2002 Gujarat Massacre and Modi's involvement. You have to got to wonder why🤔🤥😏🥱A nation without integrity and honesty and a spawning ground for all the scam callers has no credibility on the Global Stage😏.

However, I do argue that India's top priority must be economic development and large scale job creation. A country with a lot of unemployed young people is sitting on a volcano. India also needs to build water works and infrastructure to protect their farmers from global warming.

Such a rational & crystal clear minded Amit Gupta, India 🇮🇳 needs someone like him instead of wasting time battling competing with China & anti-China, should leverage on China by working close with its better industrial production (Mock up product design, etc.) in order for Indian young people to be able to realise its ideas & devise even better Indian commercial products to market worldwide !
Another is to have China Mega Infrastructure construction companies to build infrastructure (High Speed train, etc.) for India whereby they are the leader for building infrastructure with better advancement, lower cost & shorter construction time.

We can do it. Our education system is archaic. Marks oriented not learning oriented. We teach too much. No time to discuss, understand, experiment, research, do science. Such student don't have habit of thinking, problem solving. Science needs change. Reflection. Atmosphere to do new. Marks crushes creativity. We must copy uk, Japan, even Russia. How they teach science. We are doing it absolutely wrong. Our student with 100 / 100 is not able to do anything with his information
Cramped ,memorized. Noone teaches him to think for himself.

We will not discuss trade unless china stays away from our borders and stop claiming other country's territories. Instead We are happy to develop slower as it happening for last decades. They will begin a project and it will be lost in a few years and nothing came out of it. I think its similar in Africa and Latin America. My question is wheter thats a legacy of democracy where politicians are only interested in pretending that they are doing something for the next elections. The asian tigers got developed in a short time where there were authoritarian governemnts, that is Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan. Could someone correct me if I am wrong. Cheers from the west indies.

China felt awe with technology, economy and social life in west back in 80s. Then they bow their head down, learn from the west and adapt it into Chinese society. Pick the best part, and discard the bad ones. After decades of adopting western system and knowledge, China becomes what today, the largest market, largest manufacturer, largest purchasing power, and largest technology innovator.
Meanwhile if you look at India medias, they are all filled with jealousy and blames. Brits took India gold. China took India market. USA took India freedom. etc. This kind of "I never wrong" mentality only hold Indians back from advancing ahead. Gov tried to spread illusion in Indian's mind that India is catching up with China and USA very soon is pretty hilarious. China economy alone is 12 times over than India, and US is even larger. When you look at the speed, China and USA is running even way faster for India to catch. Not to mention India embrace capitalism with monopoly which drives poor people to become poorer. In the end, India can be proud because they have 1 billionaires, while the rest of people can't afford to climb to middle class. Meanwhile China annual tourism was anticipated by US, EU and the rest of the World. EU even goes further to hire Chinese police in order to make Chinese tourists feel safe. Even back in 90s at peak height of US economy, you never see any country hiring US police to protect US tourists.

Why India cannot do this? Why India cannot do that is because until 1990, for a good 43 years aftet Independence, we had a socialist, corrupt, licence-permit Raj which literally killed entrepreneurship in India. Unbelievably there was a time when the marginal rate of taxation was 97.5%.
Even after the liberalisation process started, there are still so many policies and processes still stuck in the past, with huge vested interests unwilling to let change happen.
Defence, for example, where we imported virtually everything till the Modi Govt. turned things around.
The Farm Bills which were withdrawn illustrates the kind of vested interests which frustrate the most logical & sensible reforms.

Indians are defeated by the Chinese in the 1962 war. It was the most humiliating defeat in history if you were to examine all the facts that were involved in the war. This is the ultimate proof that war tactics/strategy/determination/will power/bravery triumphs over superior weapons/technology/cowardice.
    1) The Chinese were having the "great Chinese famine" from 1958 to 1962. China was too weak to defend itself.
    2) India had Israeli and American support in the form of supplies/weaponry. Research on "Israel aid to India in the 1962 war" and "America's aid to India in the 1962 war" and "JFK’s Forgotten Crisis".
    3) The Sino-Soviet split from 1960 - 1962. China had nothing. No weapons, guns, artillery supplies from either Western and Soviet and no food (serious famine).
    4) Despite all these advantages, India lost.
    5) There are no excuses for such a humiliating defeat. That is why India is so desperate to have the "Henderson Brooks and Neville Maxwell report of the 1962 war" concealed forever and also to hide which country is the true aggressor of the war. When it was leaked into the internet momentarily in 2014, India demanded the report to be purged permanently from the internet citing "national security"....just like BBC's documentary on the 2002 Gujarat Massacre and Modi's involvement.
