@ToddDouglasFox that's lovely. I get hard stares if I haven't put the food out quick enough and occasionally a knock at the kitchen patio doors too lol
We've noticed the decline over the years, at first we thought over hunting, but to be honest hardly anyone here goes deer hunting now, or moose hunting for that matter. I think climate has a lot to do with ut and tes we are havibg a drought like you guts.
@shalacarter6658 no, you won't get flack, everyone is entitled to their opinions. I've never eaten venison nor want to, but I agree that she is beautiful
@@parsleyhillspaniels393 I love venison. A friend of ours eats almost venison exclusively. We need to keep the herds under control. I love deer! Was that a Red Deer or a White Tail? Do you have White Tails? That's what we have, but in Western NE we also have Mule Deer, or Muleys, which are so cool because they have extra large ears.
@shalacarter6658 where we live in Alberta, we have white tail and mule. Unfortunately we have seen a sharp decline in numbers since we moved here 13 years ago. We used to regularly have 26 to 30 at a time eating on our property, now the most we see together is twos or threes, and even that's rare. As for mule deer, we had a very small number when we moved here, I think it was around 5, now we are down to two. Such a shame.
@@parsleyhillspaniels393 Oh, duh. I keep forgetting you are in Canada and not in the UK. lol Where are all our deer going? And our pheasants and quail and doves? I'm a bit tired of hearing it blamed on coyotes. Are you having the drought that we are having down in Nebraska? It's horrid. Been going on for years. This is the driest October on record. I think between habitat reduction and the drought that the animals have no where to live or eat and nothing to drink.
I think the decline does have to with the climate and encroachment of human living space on wildlife living space. Yes we do have a drought up here, we havent had the rain, not that we get much anyway, nor have we had the normal snowfall amount, lakes are getting smaller here too. @shalacarter6658
It’s what I sing to our deer from the time they are born. Whenever they hear me singing, they relax and know they are safe.
