- National Rail Museum in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, displays exhibits on the history of rail transport in India. The museum was inaugurated on 1 February 1977. National Rail Museum has facilities like
Auditorium: The museum has a state of the art auditorium with seating capacity of 200 persons.
VIP Lounge: The museum has a state of the art air-conditioned conference hall with seating capacity of 20-25 persons.
The Rails: The Rails is a restaurant situated in the museum. It is housed in a replica the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus main building.
Souvenir shop: There is a souvenir shop where small scale models of rolling stock, books, apparels, frame and prints, etc. are available for sale.
Joy Train: Joy Train ride is the ride in a small train which gives you the real time experince of the train ride.
Timing: 10 AM To 5 PM (Closded On Monday)

Child (3-12 Year) INR 10/-
Weekend & Govt Holiday Entry Ticket Charges
Adult INR 100/-
Child (3-12 Year) INR 20/-

. I am not a fan of highways, malls or so called development. I just love culture and this city is best to explore so many cultural and rich historical places
. Had I been born in any other part in India, my life would have been hell.. But this place is extraordinary and more better than any global artificial city... This place is natural and authentic

South campus metro Station & moti bagh metro station both are very close to rail museum...If you are coming from New Delhi Railway Station then take metro from New Delhi Station and then change metro at INA Metro Station towards South Campus
